Continental Grand Prix 4000

Advantages: Lightweight and fast, should be hard wearing...
Disadvantages: Expensive, but worth it !

...Just been for my first ride on my new Continental Grand Prix 4000 tyres, and thought I'd let you know about them. I know it's only a first use test, but will update this review when I've had them for a while. Also, I've assumed that if you're reading this, you have some interest and/or knowledge of bicycles. I hope that's OK... Continental have over 100 years experience in the development and production of road and mountain bike tyres, at the Continental Two-Wheel division's technology and development centre in Korbach in Germany. The Grand Prix 4000 road/race tyre is the sucessor to the excellent Grand Prix 3000 that I've had on my bike for 2 years or so. It's a "clincher" tyre (as opposed to a tubular tyre), so should fit most road/race wheels/rims. It was a bit of a narrow decision between these and the Continental Attack...

Fish Mate 4000 Pond Pump

Advantages: Efficient, easy to install, easy to keep clean

...As my pump was getting old and was really too small for the pond, I decided to buy a new one. Having already installed a Fish Mate UV+Bio Filter a year ago, which I have been very pleased with, I opted to purchase a pump of the same type. I chose the 4000 which has a maximum flow of 835 gallons an hour, has an anti-clog filter design, has superior wear resistance and reported to have low running costs. It also has a fountain set with four options. As soon as I received the pump I set to to install it. It was very easy to do, but I did make the mistake of not checking the size of hose required when I purchased it and discovered that mine was too small. I was cross with myself as I wanted to get it set up that day, so I would advise anyone buying this particular model that they make sure they have a 1" or 1.1/4" bore...

...We have had the Sony KDL-32W4000 for just over a week and the picture on ours is brilliant. This is our second Sony Bravia television, the first was a 26inch which we have been very pleased with. When we went to get our new tv we decided to go for a larger television with a 32 inch screen. I have no idea how easy it is to set up, as when we had it delivered from our local independent electrical store they unpacked and set it up for us. The picture is really clear with excellent definition and contrast from all angles, although the screen swivels on its stand as well. Handy for dusting behind it. You can of course have it hung on the wall if you wish. The remote control is easy and straight forward to use. We do not have a blu-ray player or satellite so I could not give you my opinion on its H-D performance. However using freeview...

Pioneer DEH4000UB Fantastic, a real bargain if you shop around.

Advantages: Impressive for the money, especially through 'Twenga'.

...I bought the Pioneer DEH-4000UB recently as a replacement for the standard radio/cassette in my BMW 3 series. I have never been impressed with the BMW stereo (Phillips), and assumed that perhaps the speakers were as much to blame as the head unit. I toyed with the idea of fitting a CD multi player in the boot, but they can be very expensive. I was playing by Sansa mp3 player through the head unit, using a cassette adapter, and although the Sansa is one of the best mp3 players you can buy, the adapter and head unit itself did not do it justice, so i decided to look for a new CD/radio, that would look good in the dash of my BMW, would have similar colour illumination to the orange on the rest of the dash, but more importantly, would have an input for the mp3 player. ...I bought first Kyocera FS 5030N for my company at February 2007. After six months we own another four of those. It shows how satisfied I am with quality of that product. First quick description. It's medium speed (24 pages per minute), color (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, blacK), laser printer with network interface (letter N on the end of a product name). It prints with same speed for B/W and color documents. Maximum print resolution is 600x600dpi. It warms up in 80sec from power on, time to first page is 12sec. Inside sits processor PowerPC 750FX/600MHz with 128MB RAM, expandable to 1024MB. It has smallest footprint (35x47x39cm) in its class. Offers very easy access to toners and waste toner tank. TAG Heuer and the 4000 series automatics

Advantages: Quality, reputation, solid, diving potential, the tests they go through.
Disadvantages: Automatics are a nightmare, too expensive, can do a lot better, you wonder if yours was ever tested.

...I've had a TAG Heuer 4000 series watch since 1997 and always wanted to write an opinion on it since I joined Ciao. Unfortunately, or fortunately, this is no longer available, but this opinion may be helpful if anyone wishes to buy a second hand one or if anyone was thinking of purchasing on at the sales.
