5 * printer the Kyocera that goes on & on & on
Advantages: Fast, Reliable, Easy to Feed paper
Disadvantages: It doesnt fit into standard computer desks,
...After my negative last printer review, I?ve decided to review another of our collection. The Kyocera FS 680 is my personal favourite. Which is a strange thing to admit under the circumstances!! About a year ago while in the process of finding new printers my boss suggested this one, to which I recalled what the hell is the point in buying it?We need A3 minimum and definitely something capable of printing colour. My boss inevitably ignored my comments and headed straight out to purchase this.
Incredibly this printer has since become a god send. Although only able to print A4 and black and white, this printer consistently chugs away day after day without a glitch. Before I launch into a buy now buy now speech I?ll tell you the features of the printer and let you decide!
Compatibility:
This printer as with most is compatible...

The sharpest knife in the draw
Advantages: cuts very thinly and evenly
Disadvantages: carving style takes a while to get used to
...I like my roast meat and poultry sliced very thin and always have a problem keeping my carving knives sharp enough so this is the reason I thought I would try an electric carving knife. Initially the problem I had was the change in slicing style. With an electric carving knife, instead or sliding the knife back and forth through the meat gradually working your way down, you place the knife in position and exert a gentle steady downwards pressure until the knife slices off the piece. The knife itself creates the back and forth motion with its blade. This is the most difficult transition as the tendency to move the knife in a traditional manner remains.
The Breville EK2 isn?t my first electric carving knife; it?s a replacement for an old Russell Hobbs that had to be retired due to safety reasons. It was getting on in years...

A knife With A Point
Advantages: Sharp blades, expected host of features, Victorinox quality
Disadvantages: Reliability of electronics not proven
...This review is for a Victorinox Altimeter Swiss Army Knife. It was bought as a present so although I do not know exactly what it was bought for I have had a quick look around on the internet and standard prices seem to be around £50. This cost surprised me at first but I suppose you do get what you pay for.
Before I tell you about my experiences with this knife I will quickly outline it's features, which as expected for a Victorinox Knife is sufficiently long!
These features are taken directly from the manufacturers descriptions and I do find one or two of the features are a bit dubious, but on the whole they all function well:
1. large blade
2. small blade
3. corkscrew
4. can opener with - small screwdriver 3 mm (also for Phillips screws)
5. cap lifter with - screwdriver 6 mm - wire stripper
9. reamer, punch
10. key...

Cuts like a (really bloody sharp) knife.
Advantages: Works well if used with caution.
Disadvantages: Will perform impromptu amputations if used by spackers.
...different wardrobes into one big bowl, lost one set of instructions and then left everything lying like that.' In short, my mum lies. All the damn time. And I am gullible.
Because of this trusting nature and tendency to believe unquestioningly what I'm told, I took at her at her word and drove up on Saturday morning. I saw the 'all but made' furniture and had a little bit of a weep to myself before looking at the instructions to see what tools I needed. The wardrobes called for a set of screwdrivers, an electric screwdriver, a hammer, a mallet and a Stanley knife (incidentally, the murder of an Irish mother requires a not dissimilar shopping list).
I drove to the local hardware shop (which is run by a man who looks phenomenally like Tom from Father Ted, and who, pleasingly, is also called Tom) to get the knife and the hammer (the...

The Subtle Knife
Advantages: Amazing descriptions
Disadvantages: none
...This is the second book in the trillogy, you definatly need to read Northern Lights before you start this, not only because you will miss some vital character development but also because you will miss another amazing read! i think The subtle Knife is possibly my favourite of the three (they are all so fantastic) because its descriptions and twists are written so well, and it is the first time you meet some truly amazing characters. the thing i love about this trillogy, in this book especially, is that you cannot guess which way it is going to turn next. it is very much a 'read between the lines' book as you cannot take the characters for their face values - they have been created so deep that the most evil charachter may not be as they appear...absolutley amazing book, if you are reading this you MUST buy it!...

Knife of Dreams
Advantages: Delightful to read
Disadvantages: Shorter and other books in series
...Knife of Dreams - Robert Jordan
11th in the series Wheel of Time
Like all of the other books in the series, Jordan delivers again. The story mostly follows Mat, Perrin, and Elayne, with a few chapters telling of Rand al'thor and Egwene. Mat is trying to escape the Seanchan and make his way into Murandy where his Band of the Red Hand await him while courting The Daughter of the Nine Moons.
Perrin awaits with his own army of Two Rivers, some Aiel, and Mayene's honor guard. He hopes to ambush the renegade Aiel, the Shaido, and take back his wife from captivity.
Elayne is safely in Caemlyn where she is trying to secure the throne of Andor and become queen as her mother once was. But the other houses have begun a siege to take the crown of Andor in their own hands thinking Elayne is not mature enough to handle.

Philip Pullman's The Subtle Knife
Advantages: Continues the amazing story of Northern Lights. Un-put-downable!
Disadvantages: Hard to read as a book on its own Needs to be read after Northern Lights
...The second in Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy takes a giant step into cross-world politics, while keeping the story easy enough for kids to follow.
The lead character, Lyra Belacqua, is joined in her quest by Will Parry, a boy who, it seems, also has a destiny to fulfill. Meanwhile, the rest of the heroes from the first book split off on other quests, all of which will eventually lead to the same end point.
Every now and then, you read a book which gives you a feeling of being involved, that something new and exciting is just around the corner. The Subtle Knife does just this. Some unanswered questions from the first book, Northern Lights, are answered. Yet it also poses new ones, providing new characters and beliefs which once again seem to question anything and everything.
It is important to have read Northern...

Cuts like a knife
Advantages: light, durable, cuts effortlessly, moulded blade, long shaft, large handle
Disadvantages: price, but no a disadvantage when weighed up against durability
...Neverbend gardening tools are my favourite and I refuse to attempt to hide by bias as after many years of experience I have never come across any other tools that last as long and look as stunning today as when I bought them. Some may consider £11.99 a high price to pay for an edging knife but when you consider that the 2 previous edging knives I owned prior to the Neverbend cost £7.99 each and broke within a year or so, the Neverbend now some 3 years on has basically paid for itself with its longevity.
Purchased from my local garden centre as I have already said for £11.99 they can be bought online a lot cheaper but beware, postage and packaging will bump the price upwards of £15. When I made my purchase I was happy to pay a premium for a high quality product.
The edging knife is used to cut and shape the edges of lawns, something...

Kyocera FS 5030N, brilliant color laser
Advantages: Very reliable, low cost per page
Disadvantages: None
...I bought first Kyocera FS 5030N for my company at February 2007. After six months we own another four of those. It shows how satisfied I am with quality of that product.
First quick description.
It's medium speed (24 pages per minute), color (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, blacK), laser printer with network interface (letter N on the end of a product name). It prints with same speed for B/W and color documents. Maximum print resolution is 600x600dpi.
It warms up in 80sec from power on, time to first page is 12sec. Inside sits processor PowerPC 750FX/600MHz with 128MB RAM, expandable to 1024MB.
It has smallest footprint (35x47x39cm) in its class. Offers very easy access to toners and waste toner tank. Each toner stands for printing 8k pages (in lab conditions of course, in real those numbers highly depends on average page coverage), which...

Cuts like a knife
Advantages: Good likeable sound
Disadvantages: None
...'Cuts like a knife' is a CD that contains 10 very good rock tracks.
The CD is similar in style to 'You want it - You got it', however the rawness has been taken away and been replaced with a much more commercial sound. The tracks once again are well written with the musical instruments played exceptionally well.
My favourite tracks are 'Straight from the heart', 'Cuts like a knife' and 'The best was yet to come'.
This CD is definately one for the collection if only just to see how and by how far Bryan Adams has progressed as an artist....
