Hair Repair...Dont Go there!!!

Advantages: Nice and thick so no spillage.
Disadvantages: Doesn't do what it claims to.

...I received this product along with two others as a Christmas present, the person who bought them knows I am a fan of all L'Oreal products and thought that as I used L'Oreal Hydra repair which is part of the L'Oreal serie expert range I would like to try their absolut repair conditioner which like the shampoo I have also reviewed (Review to follow) states on the bottle is a 'repairing conditioner for very damaged hair'. L'Oreal Couleur Experte? DO NOT GO THERE!!!!

Advantages: None!
Disadvantages: Smells AWFUL, Nothing like the colour advertised, dries your hair out!

...Oh my where do I start? My natural colour is a very light brown colour with natural blonde tones, 3 most recent colours it has had were twice auburn and then blonde (in attempt to get rid of the red tones in my hair). I then bought L'Oreal coleur 'exprete', absolutely daft name, as there is nothing expert about this colour that's for sure. Yesterday I did a streak test, I cut a full length streak right from the root and applied the colourant, once I had left it the time stated I washed the streak and had a look, I was in shock as nothing had actually happened, apart from the roots getting lighter! So I decided to give it another go, convinced something miraculous must start to happen sooner or later, I left it another hour! L'Oreal De-Maq Expert Elixir Concentrate - make up removing gel

Advantages: Removes waterproof make-up, has a very nice smell, efficient - will last for several months

L'Oreal sublime bronze

Advantages: good colour/ no rubbing off on clothes etc.
Disadvantages: may be streaks and sometimes messy

...I had always usually relied on the sun for a tan but had always worried about the effect of it on my skin. I had always disregarded fake tan because i though it didn't work and was expensive but then i saw L'Oreal sublime bronze on the shelves and at a price of 9.99 it was incredably cheap! i applied it as soon as i got home. The directions were simple and easy to use resulting in the gel going on smoothly and more or less evenly. The fake tan hardly rubbed off on my sheets, clothes or in the shower. The appearance was slighlty streaky so i recommend that if you're going to use this product that you purchase additional tan corrector wipes for just 50p each from boots. The product claims to be fragrance free but the smell was quite distinctive and lingered on my hands for about a week. I also suggest that you lay a towel on the floor...

...Any of you that read womens magazines will have been bombarded with the advertising campaign for L'Oreal Couleur Experte lately. As you know, there is a magnet in my purse that is attracted to my true North (aka Boots the Chemist) and on a search and buy mission last week, I decided that this new hair colour didn't look half bad - also there was £3 off, which helped. The basic premise is that you use a "base" colour all over your hair, then add your own highlights after. Advantages: cheaper than a solon dye.
Disadvantages: ammonia made eyes hurt, colour misleading, gloves rubbish.

Couleur Experte....pah!!

Advantages: you get a different hair colour
Disadvantages: its not the one you expected!

...Well all I can say about this product is how disapointed I am. I expected a L'Oreal product to be resonably good (being the well respected name it is) I brought this product, 8.3 hoping to change my dark blonde hair to light blonde and followed the guidelines accurately. Once I had put on the first treatment I waited 25 mins after which I washed the treatment out thoroughly and looked in the mirror to see the result. What a shock I had, my hair had gone red!! I told myself not to panic and towel dried the hair to carry on with the second treatment (highlighter). I waited again another 20mins and washed it all out and with my fingers crossed i walked to the mirror....i wont write what I said! I tried not to overreact (I have ALWAYS been blonde and would never want to be any other colour as I am so pale) so I dried my hair...
