L'Oreal Couleur Experte - I'd use it again!

Advantages: First part was easy to do with good results
Disadvantages: Not easy to do decent streaks on your own

...I'm getting on a bit now & my hair would no doubt be grey if I left it alone (perish the thought!!) I started colouring it in the 60's when I was a teenage mod. Over the years, I've used allsorts - usually things I find on special offer. I had a short spell when I could afford to go to the hairdressers and paid anything up to £70 for colours. Now I'm on the pension however, times are tight so I was really pleased when yesterday, I found a box of Couleur Experte in a box at an auction sale. There was also a box of Garnier multi-lights and I got both for £1 - Well I've just used the Couleur Experte (Rum Coffee) and I'm SO pleased with the results. Unfortunately, I don't look like the girl on the box and I wish I'd left the highlight cream on longer (I chickened out after reading all your revues) I'd certainly save up for another kit...

L'Oreal Couleur Experte? DO NOT GO THERE!!!!

Advantages: None!
Disadvantages: Smells AWFUL, Nothing like the colour advertised, dries your hair out!

...Oh my where do I start? My natural colour is a very light brown colour with natural blonde tones, 3 most recent colours it has had were twice auburn and then blonde (in attempt to get rid of the red tones in my hair). I then bought L'Oreal coleur 'exprete', absolutely daft name, as there is nothing expert about this colour that's for sure. Yesterday I did a streak test, I cut a full length streak right from the root and applied the colourant, once I had left it the time stated I washed the streak and had a look, I was in shock as nothing had actually happened, apart from the roots getting lighter! So I decided to give it another go, convinced something miraculous must start to happen sooner or later, I left it another hour! When I finally rinsed out the streak test and look at it the roots looked lighter and the main hair...

L'Oreal De-Maq Expert Elixir Concentrate - make up removing gel

Advantages: Removes waterproof make - up, has a nice smell, efficient - will last for several months
Disadvantages: Complicated to use, irritates eyes and blurrs vision, expensive

...I am posting this review for the second time, first one was in an incorrect category and I asked Ciao to delete it I recently bought L?Oreal De-maq Expert Elixir Concentrate Ultra Make-Up Remover. It is designed with professional technology to remove waterproof and long-lasting cosmetics from eyes and skin. Before, I had tried another product to remove my new waterproof mascara but it didn?t work so I decided I would opt for something more effective this time. To be honest I was tempted by the price of this product, which was quite expensive at £5.49 in Boots (I though expensive product must work well), and claims on the tube that it contained a ?professional? and ?most concentrated? formula. At home with The Colour Experts

...Any of you that read womens magazines will have been bombarded with the advertising campaign for L'Oreal Couleur Experte lately. As you know, there is a magnet in my purse that is attracted to my true North (aka Boots the Chemist) and on a search and buy mission last week, I decided that this new hair colour didn't look half bad - also there was £3 off, which helped. The basic premise is that you use a "base" colour all over your hair, then add your own highlights after. This was especially appealing to me, becuase I had my hair highlighted about three months ago, and was showing a serious amount of unappealing rootage. (On a side note - does it annoy you that the "professionals" charge exactly the same amount to do your roots as you paid for the first go? L'Oreal Men Expert Hydra Energetic Tan Moisturizer - ORANGE!

Advantages: Erm...ZERO!
Disadvantages: It turns your face orange, you stink and you get weird looks from everyone

...Well I've just got back from my holiday with a nice brown tan...I always feel better with a tan. So to try and keep it a bit longer and stop my face from peeling I thought I'd try this product....It's L'Oreal so I thought it would be a really good product. I bought it in the airport on my way back home. I've used it for 3 days now...and I've got an orange face. It stinks...and I think people stood next to me in work (the ladies, especially) recognize the smell as being a fake tanning product....and I'm getting weird looks from everybody...it's embarrassing! It hasn't gone streaky..just an all over orange glow. I tried scrubbing my face last night to at least get rid of the smell...but I can still smell it now as I'm typing this review. It does, however, do a good job of moisturizing your skin...my real tan isn't peeling at all...

A not so expert make up remover!

Advantages: Works a little, would be fine (I assume) for light make up wearers
Disadvantages: Doesn't do a good job for me at all and it's too expensive for what it is in my opinion

...Removing make-up can be a real ordeal particularly if like me you plaster yourself in it daily! I'm always on the look out for really good, easy to use cleansers that are reasonable in price and give good results! The Packaging.... 100ml black and see through, plastic tube with flip top opening to the bottom of it. On the front in silver, white and black writing I'm told it is L'Oreal Paris Dermo-Expertise De-Maq Expert Elixir Concentrate Ultra Make-Up Remover 'For waterproof & long-lasting cosmetics'. I'm told it is a professional formula and then I'm told it is 'Our most concentrated formula in make-up removing ingredients' and that it's satin touch and for the face, eyes & lips and that it is skin tolerant and dermatologically tested as well. On the back of the tube I'm told a bit about the product and how to use it, ingredients...

...I have been every colour I dare,and when I was shopping in Boots,Looking for a change.I came across this new product from l'oreal Couleur Experte! The thing that made this product stand out to me on the shelf,was the bright RED box and the fact its larger than other hair colour boxes,by nearly half. Expert? i think not.

Advantages: cheaper than a solon dye.
Disadvantages: ammonia made eyes hurt, colour misleading, gloves rubbish.

...Well after consulting several reviews on Ciao and my bank balance, £10 home dye vs £93 salon+4 1/2 hours in foil i opted for the loreal couleur expert in chocolate macaroon. Now as the name would indicate 'chocolate' i was thinking rich brown and golden highlights. I was wrong. I purchased this from boots and chose the colour using the loreal site which cliams to give personalised colour based upon the criteria you cite, such as is your hair wavy, long, coloured previously etc, So, saturday came and i was quite excited about a new look.
