In an enviable location on Via Tornabuoni, the Hotel de la Ville is within easy reach of Florence's most coveted attractions and has a plethora of luxury boutiques nearby. This four-star city retreat is opulently designed with an interior of Italian marble and traditional Florentine style furniture. Via Tornabuoni and its environs are densely populated with tratorias, delicatessens and bars, but should you wish to dine in, the American Bar in the lobby serves light lunches and dinners as well as a selection of fine wines and spirits. American and continental breakfasts are served every morning at the Hotel de la Ville.

.... We stayed at the Harmony Hotel (themed rooms with musical names) which was well placed, competitively priced and very comfortable. We were back there this year (2006) when we stayed right in the centre opposite the train station in the Best Western Grand Hotel.

Advantages: Great Wine, Great Castles, Great People.....those are kick a** advantages Disadvantages: It's not really easy to access via Train, you really do need to have a Car to fully appreciate it
