Pace Twin

Advantages: BItstream Record, Easy to use, moves TV schedules around, easy to fit bigger HDD
Disadvantages: Small Hard Disk as standard, Slightly dodgy software

...The Pace Twin was the first PVR on the UK market without a subscription. Reviewed with October 2004 software. It is a Freeview digital terrestrial box with two tuners and a 20GB hard disk. You can watch TV as normal with it, you can also record TV or Freeview radio, you can watch another channel while recording, or a previous recording, or even the recording you are currently recording. Due to this you can watch a commercial TV programme while it is recording and catch up by skipping the adverts. Or you can wact a whole evenings programmes on a half hour delay. There is a live TV pause which is great for watching BBCi (701 or 702) programmes - disabling the MHEG layer and the press red. The box is very well featured, and has plenty of connections. It supports digital text - it is not quite as fast as the Pace DTVA but...

...On our recent trip to the Loire Valley Mr Tart and myself arrived in Tours quite late on our first night. We drove down to Tours from Paris. We were going to stop for something to eat on the way but in the end decided to make our way straight to Tours and get settled in the hotel and then find something close by. A couple of minutes from our hotel we came across this place and were really glad that we did. LOCATION: La Chope is located at 25 Avenue Grammont. Our hotel was on the same road so we just came across it. It is about a ten minute walk from Tours? old town. The restaurant doesn?t stand out and the sign is not particularly bright so make sure you look out for it. ...If i need to buy lingerie there is only one place that I go to and that is La Senza. La Senza is great and stocks everything from underwear, bras, slippers, nightwear and dressing gowns. They have great bra's im many different styles and colours that have matching underwear you will always find what your are looking for. They have the multiways bra's and the bra solutions too, which is great especially if you are planning on wearing say a backless dress for example. I have learnt over the years that you can get great offers in La Senza on there buy one get one free, or the buy so many items for a set price. Which is fantastic as you otherwse find that a few sets cost you over £50. I would also recommend that you try the bra's on as i find that i am a different size bra in each different style. ...La Senza. Well, what is NOT amazing about it? When i walk into the doors of La Senza i am always greated with a warm welcoming from their trained staff. The selections are always set out neatly and i feel that i'm not going into a jumble sale; as with many shops that i have been into. The styles of Bras and underwear are very nice, however, as a student i would have to say that some are rather expensive. However, they do do the odd deal that i find rather benefitial, so they ARE considering those that are poor and wish to dazzle their other halfs ;). However, One thing i would say that is a disadvantage is that they do not accomidate for larger sizes. One size i know they do not do as a fact is size 44D, which is rather rubbish if you happen to be that size. However, being within the size boundaries i am able to find a large range...

It can be used as a normal Freeview box while recording another channel, it is possible to watch a recording while recording a new one, or to pause live TV. It is great with commercial channels as you can start watching 5 minutes after the programme has started - then skipping through the adverts. The box is very well featured, and has plenty of connections. It supports digital text - it is not quite as fast as the Pace DTVA but is much faster in use than a Sony IDTV and especially old Ondigital boxes.
