We stayed in a Holliday Inn hotel near LAX, once we arrived here we found a brochure on VIP Tours and decided to go on what they call the most popular tour which was called the 'Grand Tour of Los Angeles'. It cost in American dollars $59 (adult) and $40 (child). One American dollar is roughly equal to roughly 0.6 United Kingdom Pounds. It was very easy to book this tour with the representative in our hotel for the next day. We had a few different times we could have chosen to go on out tour. ...On our recent trip to the Loire Valley Mr Tart and myself arrived in Tours quite late on our first night. We drove down to Tours from Paris. We were going to stop for something to eat on the way but in the end decided to make our way straight to Tours and get settled in the hotel and then find something close by. A couple of minutes from our hotel we came across this place and were really glad that we did. LOCATION: La Chope is located at 25 Avenue Grammont. Our hotel was on the same road so we just came across it. It is about a ten minute walk from Tours? old town. The restaurant doesn?t stand out and the sign is not particularly bright so make sure you look out for it. What follows is an honest account as possible about the hotel as I can provide. Hopefully this may help if you are planning to visit this part of the world. We flew to Bordeaux but the most convenient airport for the hotel is actually in Bergerac as the hotel lies about 2 miles outside the town. Incase you are not familiar with this part of the world these places are in the main wine growing areas, and are in South West France. ...We weren't sure what to expect when we rolled up at this 3 star hotel for 3 nights in July 07 at the end of a two week self-drive tour. At 75 Euros per night bed and breakfast, this was an average price. However, the standard of accommodation at this price varies so much in Italy and we had already seen the good and the not so good. First impressions were good as he hotel is situated in a quiet, mainly residential area and you could park outside to check-in. The best way to describe the reception area is higgledy-piggledy, with it's cabinets of war memorabilia and plenty of chairs/tables to enjoy a coffee which is available all day - this area is non-smoking. ...The Hotel The Bellevue hotel is a three star hotel and has 36 rooms, which are all nicely decorated in either burgundy or blue tones. It is a four storey building with lots of parisian style. The hotel is a small independantly run hotel which is in a fantastic location 19 Rue d' orsel, 7518 Paris which is at the foot of the Sacre Coeur church in Montmartre. I had pre-booked a taxi online when I booked this break. Taxi was from the Charles de Gaulle airport and when we arrived the Bellevue Hotel was lit up outside and looked very warm and welcoming. The hotel has a small reception desk which is open twenty four hours and the reception staff are very friendly and helpful. It is situated nearby a supermarket and a mere 400m from the wonderful beaches. Tenerife's reputation certainly goes before it and I found many of my ideas surrounding the island were wrong. It is true that Tenerife accomodates a large number of english tourists, however, i felt that part of the culture of the island remained in tact and the standards were certainly not low. ...Carmona is a town with a very long history and is situated about 30km east of Seville. It lies astride the NIV Seville-Cordoba highway so the town is very easy to find. The Alcazar de la Reina Hotel is situated in the heart of the old town. It's not hard to find as it's more than adequately signposted, but it's still a bit of an ordeal driving to it. The old town was not designed with the automobile in mind (in fact I doubt whether the wheel was even invented when much of this place was built!) and you must negotiate a torturous and convoluted route through the incredibly narrow streets and lanes (all one way).
