...I am a big lover of sweets so when I was in Asda today I just couldn't stop myself from picking up these sweeties! The packaging was calling out to me as it's very pretty and girly and I'm in a 'loving pink' kind of mood at the moment (sitting in pink PJs now!). The laces are a little waxy and take a fair while to chew but the taste of strawberry is there and it's pretty strong, it does taste very nice but if I could improve the product it would be to make the laces less waxy. I enjoyed mucking around with these, making bracelets with my niece and other various jewellery and just generally playing with our food before we ate it, it's nice to get to act like a child sometimes! These sweets (as per most) should definitely be enjoyed in moderation as one 70g bag provided 242 calories & 34.3g sugars which is just not good for your...

Not too shabby

...I know that I have been reviewing Asda children's sweets for quite some time now but I'm slowly running out of new ones to try and review so whilst out in my town centre a couple of weeks ago I made a trip to Tesco's and purchased six of their bags of children's sweets. Not only did these sweets put an end to my sugar craving for a good few days but they have also given me a new batch of products to review. This bag is called Apple Flavour Laces and they were rather nice. The Apple Flavour Laces cost 38p a bag and contains 75g of sweets but like Asda's own sweets can be bought on offer with another two bags for £1. The bag in question is an eye-catching bright green and has a picture of a fun looking yellow alien chewing on the front. Review of Tesco Apple Flavour Laces

One of my all time favourites

Advantages: Hugely funny,done in the style of a farce,highly entertaining,innocent

...I have watched Arsenic and Old Lace many times since my childhood. It is one of those films that I just never tire of watching, despite its age and the fact that it is in black and white. The plot is just so amusing and the characters incongruous and comical.Arsenic and Old lace was a Frank Capra production produced in 1944. Now, although I'm getting on a bit now, that's still eight years before I was born!. Obviously a film that is 64 years old will seem very dated but the humour is still good and really the film is a classic. ...This particular review is of Asda's "Stretchy Strawberry Bootlaces". You will find these sweets in the sweeties aisle, amongst the bags of sweets. They will set you back the pricely sum of 38p for a 75g pack. Or, you can pick any 3 bags from this particular range for £1. They come in a yellow packaged bag, with the words any 3 for £1 across the top. On the bag is a see-through area in the middle so you can see the laces inside, and around this clear part is the picture of a shoe with laces on. Very appropriate! These sweets are actually part of the kiddies range, but I absolutely love them! They are obviously aimed at children, because of the brightly coloured packaging and the design, but if your a big kiddie like myself, then they are aimed at you too!
