Playing indoors at Snakes and ladders in Dunstable

Advantages: A place for kids to let of steam
Disadvantages: junk food

...I was visiting my daughter in the holidays and decided to take the children to Snakes and Ladders an indoor play centre in Dunstable. This is situated about on the outskirts of Dunstable on Blackburn road Houghton Regis, Dunstable. This is a small industrial estate. There is a soft play area at the Dunstable leisure centre, I have frequented there more often but my grandson is getting too big for there and the Snakes and ladders centre more challenging / suitable for him There is some parking here but I caught the bus in the centre of Dunstable with the 2 children and got off in the street next to Blackburn road. Just inside the Entrance is the admission desk price is £4.90 for under 2's over 2 but under 5 £5.90 over 5's £6.90 There is a limit on height for admission which is 4 foot 8in. Someone Stole The Ladder

Advantages: A fitting tribute to America's firefighters
Disadvantages: Poor script, average acting, no characterisation

...I'd heard quite a lot about Ladder 49. It seemed to have a pretty reasonable cast and the story sounded like one the director could really get his teeth into. It seemed like it would be a fitting tribute to fire-fighters and with that in mind there was a bit of pressure on director Jay Russell. There was only really one big contender for a fire fighting film in Ron Howard's 1991 epic, Backdraft. So Ladder 49 had something to live up to and on paper it seemed like it might just manage it. What often looks good on paper doesn't often transfer to the big screen and that's exactly what I found with Ladder 49. From The Top Of The Ladder....

Advantages: Thoughtful, gentle and above all, British.
Disadvantages: Depressing, sullen and not good listening for a bad day....

Advantages: A wonderfully soulful voice and genuine talent amid a sea of manufactured pap.
Disadvantages: It tends to sound a bit too similar at times.
