Advantages: Views, range of activities Disadvantages: Location
...I visited the Laguna Park 2 apartments for a week in November 2005. I hope you find this review helpful!
On top of the already great features at the Laguna Park 2 you can also use the facilities at Laguna Park 1 at the bottom of the hill.
Location
the Laguna Park 2 apartments are on the outskirts of Playa de las Americas near Costa Adeje. It is quite a long walk to the beach, and about 10 minutes to bars and restaurants. If it is the very lively part of Las Americas for example Veronicas strip this would be too far out.
It is on "cardiac hill", you have to walk down a slope to the pool from most apartments. It would definitely not be suitable for those with walking difficulties as the hill is just too steep and long. There are a couple of lifts but whether they are working or not is a different matter.
There is a taxi rank...
Advantages: 5* Safety rating many extras good mpg Disadvantages: repair cost noisy plastic trim
...I bought my laguna back in 2007 from a secondhand dealer in Perterborough it came with a years MOT and had 63,000 on the clock and had previously been owned by two former keepers. So i parted with my £4,000 and off we went i noticed over the next few weeks that everytime i drove over a bump i heard a bang from the rear, so off i went to my local garage not Renaults and they said that my bushes on the back axle had gone and needed replacing at a cost of £200 the warranty with the car was for major engine parts so i had to get the wallet out. After 13 months the same thing happened again so i went to another garage and was quoted £188 fitted, apparently this is a common fault with this car and as i do 20-30,000 miles a year it looks like this will be an annual cost. The car goes 18,000 miles between servicing but it's the bit between...
Advantages: Value for Money Disadvantages: Deprecitation
...Having just started a family, I needed to change my existing 3 door car to a more family friendly car. I looked into various options and ended up getting the Laguna at Cargiant for £6k. I bought the car with 25k miles on the clock and it was an 2005 Model.
The car itself is nice to dive and the main reason I choose it was because of it's safety record and 5 Star Rating. Being a typical family car it's not that amazing to look at but all the features are there that you would expect from a relatively new car including air con, elec windows, power steering, ABS, CD Player (no MP3 connectivity though) & ISOFIX seats for car seats.
The car I bought is the petrol version but I noticed it's MPG isn't that great but the Diesel version is soo much better onm fuel consumption. I guess this is why Diesel versions are more expensive.
I...
...what the rest of the season 1 cast are up to, then introduces the new cast members.
I'll try not to give too much away in the episode descriptions but just give you a brief insight into what happens in each of the episodes.
Episode 1 - Since you've been gone
It's Christmas break in Laguna Beach and Lo throws a party at her house to welcome everybody back. We also get chance to meet all the new cast during this episode.
Episode 2 - You Can't Trust Him
This episode revolves around Jason, Jessica and Alex M, as Jessica thinks Jason is cheating on her and Alex H and Kristin try to persuade her that she can do better than him.
Episode 3 - It's hard to say goodbye
It's Lauren's 19th birthday and her, Stephen and Dieter head to Mexico to celebrate. It's also Kristin's 18th and Alex H throws her a birthday meal. But...
Advantages: 7 seater, good performance, roof rails for lugggage box Disadvantages: no internal luggage space when fully occupied
.... The legroom is adequate for the rear passengers but for the 2 seats in the boot it is limited, and I had to cut a slot in the sparewheel cover to get this seatbelt latch to sit correctly, but it is still awkward to fasten, but comes with practise. There is also a lack of ventilation for the boot passengers which may become a major problem on long trips.
The engine bay is sensibly laid out, with easy access to all the regular service points plus as I changed the oil and filter; coolant, spark plugs and air filter on purchase these parts are not expensive. After the service I did a mpg check and it worked out at approximately 34miles to the gallon, however this figure needs rechecking as I am not 100% sure of the exact capacities between divisions on the gauge. On this note there is no reserve area or low fuel light (it did not come on?) so...

Review of Renault Laguna2.0 Rt
Advantages: Stylish, well equipped, technology laden car Disadvantages: Not the most practical of estates and the engine is a little fussy
...the Renault Laguna comes with 5 engines, a 1.6-litre petrol, 1.8-litre petrol, a recently introduced 2-litre petrol, a 3.0-litre V6 petrol and a 1.9 common-rail diesel. The diesel range is set to expand with the launch of a new 2.2-litre V6 diesel in a few weeks.
We kept to the list and took the 1.9 diesel for a spin. Called dCi, the diesel is Renault’s first common-rail diesel for the Laguna and the improvements are clear. We are looking for a diesel that is going to be quiet and refined and unfortunately the Renault did seem a little grouchy as we went along the road. Fire up the124bhp engine and the customary diesel growl will be apparent, and we noticed a distinct feeling of vibration among the plastics, which was quite irritating at times.
The big complaint was the turbo lag of the engine. Turbo lag is common among many...
Advantages: A geat family car for those who dont want a people carrier Disadvantages: Car key is a card pricy to replace
...I brought a Renault Laguna 1.9TD Sport Tourer In April of this year. I paid £2300 for an 03reg. You get a high quality car for a relativly small amount of money.
The Sport Tourer comes with part leather interior, three 3 point seatbelts which is a must for anybody with children, a cd player, air con, Abs, 6 speed gears, heated front and rear windscreens and lots more.
I have three young children and didn't want to purchase a people carrier instead I opted for this estate and so far have been extremely pleased with my purchase. It has a fantastically large boot which fits my double buggy in with ease and still has enough room for shopping.
As far as safety ratings go this is by far one of the best it has several airbags and you are able to turn the passenger airbag off at a switch if you need to place a rear facing child seat in...
Advantages: Comfort, Huge load area, Decent handling Disadvantages: Horribly slow, and not that great on fuel
...walked in front waving a flag, the flag waver would have kept stopping for a cuppa so you could catch up.
So all that happens when a car has no BHP per ton, is that you end up driving with your foot flat on the floor all the time. And the result of course is miserable MPG. Pointless. TOP TIP then: Buy turbo diesel or 2.0 petrol.
Other than that, the Laguna makes a nice car. The cabin is huge - much bigger than a Mondeo or Primera, and the seats are more comfortable than your favorite pair of old slippers. The estates load area is equally impressive. The 1996 'RT' trim level is nothing to shout about although the sunroof is electric rather than the manual version of its rivals.
The handling is very good for a car of this size - a nice compromise between soft and comfortable, and decent road-holding. The steering gives good feedback...
...and started it up again and everything was normal and it was put down to being a flat battery giving strange logged error messages
After driving off the only noise you could hear were the 17 inch alloy wheels on the bumpy road.
The handling of the vehicle was excellent with a smooth 5 speed automatic gearbox with flick shift which meant you pushed the lever to the left and you could drive it pretty much like a manual by pushing forward slightly to move up and pulling back to move down. This could be done at any time.
Being a business user I drove the car 350 miles in 2 days but whilst driving back late at night I was freezing because the heater didn't work. Apparently a very common fault on the new Lagunas. The dealer was great and fixed it the same day I took it in and they offered me a courtesy car (lots of bad press about many Renault...
...I bought my 2001 Laguna II, 4 years ago, with 49,000 on the clock. I am not a high milage driver and have clocked up only 33,000 miles. Since then I have had numerous problems with the dashboard key reader unit and have replaced it. I have replaced three tyre pressure sensors due to malfunctions.
I have had problems with the electrics atributed to the sunroof, and it has also continued to leak rainwater into the interior if left pointing nose down on driveway when raining.
Last year I paid over £1000 for suspension mountings, timing belt and waterpump.
Just before Christmas 2007, I had to replace the flywheel as the gears where slipping, and decided to replace the clutch which had about a year left of life, at the same time. Total cost this time was £1200. Add to that, the servicing costs and this car has cost me a small fortune...
