Fairfield Inn, Lake Buena Vista - Bring your ear plugs!

Advantages: Clean, tidy hotel with excellent service from staff
Disadvantages: Noisy hotel near a busy motorway, not enough seats at breakfast

...Having previously stayed at The Farifield Inn near International Drive in Orlando, we had hoped that this hotel would be as equally as good. We stayed this time at the 'Fairfield Inn' at Lake Buena Vista. On first impressions things were fine, staff were extremely helpful, polite and friendly, the reception area was large, welcoming and well decorated. The pool area was nice, clean and towels supplied. Rooms were equally well decorated. Then came time to sleep!! After 2 days I surrendered and went and bought ear plugs to drown out the all night noise from the near by motorway. Windows were single glazed and the motorway extremely busy. Granted it was a busy time of year during the holidays but the motorway caused even more problems - each day we would jump in the car eager to visit one of the many fantastic florida attractions...

Disney Magic

Advantages: close to disney area

...I recently stayed at the Hilton hotel in Lake Buena Vista and had a brilliant holiday there. Lake Buena Vista is adjacent to the main disny park so this makes it a ideal location for those wanting to visit both the disney parks and other attractions within Florida. If you are going to visit Florida it can be quite daunting choosing a hotel from the hundreds on offer but I would definitely choose one in the Lake Buena Vista area. LOCATION The hotel I stayed in was less than 5 mintues walk away from the downtown disney complex that contains all the shops and resturants as well as the night time entertainment. Some of the hotels in the disney park are in the actual theme parks but you will still have to travel by bus to the other parks and if you do not eat in your hotel you need to drive or catch a bus to downtown disney. The Buena Vista Social Club

Advantages: Latest OS, some nice features, looks and feels a lot nicer
Disadvantages: Compatibilty, still some bugs, possible system shock, need a decent spec machine

...When it comes to operating systems I tend to stick to what I know. I don't rush out and buy the latest OS for at least 2 years. It took me until 2004 to bother with XP. My main reason is I tend to get comfy with an operating system usually around the same time that a new one comes out. The only real exception to this was the upgrade from Windows 98 SE to 2000 and that was only because I was given an installation disk. My other reason is it gives the peeps who make the OS time to iron out the bugs (and believe me - even the most robust operating systems in the world have bugs). So it was kicking and screaming that I ended up with Vista. And I mean literally kicking and screaming... COMFORT FOR WHO ??

...We stayed at the Comfort Inn, Lake Buena Vista in June 2006 as part of a 14 night package holiday. You naturally benchmark the standards against the price, and as this was a budget holiday, I didn't have unrealistically high expectations of the motel, but was pleased that they were either met or exceeded on the whole. Two adults and two kids (8 & 11) had a great time. Location First and foremost, the location is excellent, and one of the main reasons we'd return. A lazy 35-40 min drive from the airport - I hadn't driven on the other side of the road since we were last in Florida as a couple in 1993, and things have changed in terms of traffic, but it was a nice, easy drive using the toll roads rather than the I4 (as recommended by the Dollar Rep). ...I Stayed at the Staybridge Suites, Lake Buena Vista Hotel in 2009 and I had mixed views. The rooms are great, I stayed in a room that had 2 adults and 1 child, and the room was set up in a very good way, The living room and kitchen where in the main room when you walk in, The sofa converts easilly into a double bed which is perfect if you have a child or two. There is also a TV next to this bed which will keep the kids entertained and there is a bedside table with a lamp, and other tables in the room. The Kitchen features a large fridge-freezer, cooker,toaster,coffee/tea maker, sink, stove and large work surface, making creating meals very easy.
