Lancome Hypnose Waterproof Mascara - Disappointing

Advantages: Attractive, easy to hold tube and wand.
Disadvantages: Sticky texture, clumps on the eyelashes.

There are a great many good products out there on the market in both premium and budget price ranges but I have never found anything I like quite so much as those produced by this French company. ("Definicils" to be precise, my all-time favourite.) I like to keep up to date with make-up style and go from time to time to a local department store for a make-up session, trying out new styles and colours. I booked an appointment at a local Lancome counter some weeks ago and when the make-up session was over I was delighted with the overall impression. Lancome Juicy Tubes

Advantages: Lasts for ages, tastes quite nice
Disadvantages: Quite Expensive

...I'm quite a big fan of lipgloss as opposed to lipstick, I find that it lasts longer and generally 'tastes' better. After receiving the No7 'Liplicious' liplgoss for Christmas one year I decided to go ahead and spend the cash on the trendy Lancome 'Juicy Tubes' lipgloss. The first thing you find is that it is quite expensive. Boots retails 15ml of Juicy Tube for £13.50 while you can cut the cost slightly on sites such as buycosmetics.com who sell 15ml for £10.95. I purchased my Juicy Tubes from duty free in the form of 7ml mini tubes, and I got 5 tubes for £20. What I noticed when using this lipgloss is that you only need to use a small quantity when applying - a little goes a long way. It stays in place for a good length of time, I can put mine on before I go to work and have two or three drinks before it needs touching...

Advantages: Ways to find it cheaper, good brand, lots of colours to choose from, raved about by everybody
Disadvantages: Expensive even when bought from cheaper places, sticky, comes off easily

Even me, whos been known to spend 35 quid on some face gel with little bits of gold leaf suspended in it, couldnt bring myself to fork out £12 quid for a 15ml tube. Everybody raves about Juicy Tubes, saying theyre the best lipgloss around. Theyre one of the best selling lipglosses ever and this is reflected by the fact that its one of the few products that Lancome havent discontinued, they always discontinue products after a certain amount of time and its sooo frustrating when youve found something you love! So anyway, browsing through eBay I came across a seller who had somehow managed to get hold of some Juicy Tubed stock and was selling them at around £8.50 for a single tube and £18 for a box of three. Advantages: Defines eyes, lengthens eyelashes, stays put!
Disadvantages: Expensive

...I am on an eternal quest for the perfect mascara - one that lengthens, thickens and curls my eyelashes with no clumping and not too expensive. Of course there are many mascaras that claim to do so, but so far I've been disappointed. I have the straightest eyelashes in existence. Right now, I apply whatever mascara I pluck out of my mascara drawer (yes I have a drawer full of mascaras!), curl my eyelashes, then apply another coat of mascara and curl them again, which is a lot of hassle just for curly eyelashes! It killed me to buy Lancome Definicils. At £15, it doesn't come cheap, but that wasn't the only reason. Do you know how intimidating it is to walk up to a beauty counter and try to conduct a conversation with a St-Tropezed, overly made-up beauty assistant? ...I had my friend over before a night out and she brought along this Lancome flash tanning mousse, it was really great and quick to use, so I thought, hell..Ill treat myself. I found a cheaper deal on Cheapsmells.com for £12.95, but when it arrived I realised it wasnt the product I thought it was, but the airbrush one instead. Nevertheless I decided to give it a go a on the tuesday night before plans to go out on the saturday night. And arent I glad i planned in advance! The can is really easy to use I must admit, the only problem is that its colourless whilst spraying so I didnt have much of an idea where I had/ hadn't covered. Disadvantages: Smells weird, dries up, clumps occasionally, smudges, too intense looking.

...for knock-off's. You can find it in any lancome counter which is Boots, Selfridges, anywhere you can find other brands. Final Conclusion Its a great mascara but just wasn't for me as it made me look terrible but thats just me so try it out if you look a lot older....

...Although i love lip-glosses, I held out for a long time before trying Lancome Juicy Tubes due to the price . I decided to treat myself and glad i did. The tube comes in a box, which lists the ingredient. The tube itself is clear in color and lists the shade on the back. It has a cap that screws off to reveal an angled plastic applicator.They had all the colors available as testers right at the counter, more than two dozen in total! The majority of the colors were pinks and reds, although there were some purple, blue, and browns in the mix. Each color has a scent/flavor, some of which are more obvious than others. For example ?Grape Escape?, a purple gloss, clearly smells like grape, whereas the color I chose, ?Tickled Pink?, doesn?t have a specific flavor name or scent....

...Lancome Juicy Tubes cost around £11.50 which you may think is expensive for a lip gloss, but it is actually pretty cheap considering the amount of gloss that you get in a tube - you get 15ml. The packaging is a clear plastic squeezable tube. When you twist off the lid, you will find a slanted plastic applicator, with a small hole in the centre. To apply the gloss, you squeeze the tube gently so that the product comes out through the hole. You can then apply the gloss to the lips straight from the tube (the slanted applicator makes this easy), or you can apply the gloss to a lipbrush and apply to your lips from that if you prefer. Personally, I find applying the gloss straight from the tube to the lips to be the easiest. The packaging is hygienic, as the tube doesn't have a wand that you have to dip in and out like some glosses have...

This way I was able to try the product that came in a small size before actually buying it.
