What am I going on about, Streetmaps.co.uk, here you will find OS maps for every location in the UK and in most cases you can even locate street level maps, by that I mean maps allowing you to pinpoint any individual road in the country. Finding somewhere has never been so easy. The site can be easily searched on a variety of criteria, Post Code, UK Place Name (town city village, etc), OS Grid Reference, Landranger Grid Reference, Longitude and Latitude and Telephone area code. ...This is a site which will mean that you have no excuse to get lost again. This site provides address searching and street map facilities for the UK. They currently have street and road maps for the whole of mainland Britain. The search engine is excellent and will recognise all post codes in the UK. You can try how good it is by typing your own post code out and instantly finding a detailed, colour map of your area. And a yellow arrow to indicate the postal code and bingo you have found your own street. Quiet Country Walks.

Advantages: Peace and Quiet.
Disadvantages: Means Exercise.

These routes are nearly all “off road”, but do take in some of the beautiful villages of this area. (The chance to visit some very inviting public houses). One village of particular interest in Old Teversal which has connections with Lord Carnarvon of Tutankhamun fame and D.H. Lawrence’s Lady Chatterley’s Lover”. The Ordnance Survey maps covering the trails network are Landranger 120 and Pathfinder 779. If you fancy a quiet gentle stroll through some beautiful countryside then this is the place for you. The Loch of the Swine.

Advantages: Great scenery, and low level walking suitable for all.
Disadvantages: Higher level walking for experienced hillwalkers only.

The Roof of Aberdeenshire

Disadvantages: Only very basic visitor facilities, a bit remote.

Excellent lightweight rain jacket

Advantages: Lightweight, waterproof and windproof, easily adjustable, big pockets, stuffs down really small
Disadvantages: Some people find they overheat in it after moderate exertion.

...and there's a risk of rain, sleet or snow - great for the high mountains or simply clearing snow from the car windscreen on a really chilly morning! Pockets are generously sized on the Paclite Trek, and there are four in total. There's a large mesh lined interior pocket (open at the top), and opposite this on the exterior is a large zipped map pocket which, as its name suggests, will accommodate an Ordnance Survey Landranger map without much difficulty. Needless to say that your mobile phone and iPod will get swallowed up in its capacious volume! The zip on this pocket is weather resistant so you shouldn't have moisture getting in to spoil the contents.
