Estella Hotel and Apartments Did NOT Disappoint!
Advantages: Excellent location, superb customer service levels and lovely rooms
Disadvantages: No real facilities for the disabled
...Estella Hotel Apartments is based in Limassol in Southern Cyprus where I stayed for 6 nights in late April/early May of 2009 with my cousin. The booking was made via Expedia.co.uk and worked out at approximately £200 for 2 of us sharing a twin apartment (just £100 each basically). SUNSHINE ALL DAY (FOR ME) AT THE SOL LANZAROTE
Advantages: fantastically huge balcony, nice rooms, next to beach, friendly cleaning staff
Disadvantages: reception staff fairly unfriendly, luck of draw if you get a good balcony, choice of food

My mum told me that the Sol Lanzarote hotel was right next to the beach, and my dad and brother, who went to Lanzarote the month before us (and had worse weather, funnily enough) also stayed in Matagorda and confirmed we were indeed right next to the beach. This was great news as far as I'm concerned, as I generally prefer lying by the sea to lying by the pool (which turned out to be a good thing...

LANZAROTE
Advantages: breathtaking, facinating, clean, plenty to do, beautiful beaches
Disadvantages: none
...of the desert. Many reviews we had read had complaints about the wind but although it was a shock to start with, it cooled us down in the hot sun and kept us at a comfortable temperature. Our transfer to the hotel was smooth and only took 40 minutes from the airport of Arrecife to the resort of Playa Blanca where we were staying.
