...Fujitsu runs under the siemens brand name. it's a brand that has been around for ages, mainly making TV, DVD players and other electrical goods. Now you've probably all heard about siemens but not really about fujitsu and that's what could put some people off getting there laptops by thinking there a new brand and therefore not reliable. Advantages: slim design

...i bought this laptop as a replacement for my everyday desktop pc. overall i like the laptop but it has alot of downsides. for the price i would expect a slightly faster processor, but the celeron M that comes with it dose the job fine aslong as u dont open to many programs at any one time, this laptop comes with 512MB of Ram memory. this is ok for a laptop of this price. also it come loaded with windows XP home edition. for value for money this is a generally good piece of equipment but for gamers and very heavy pc users a would save up and get a slighly more upgraded model with maybee a duel core prossesor. the V2055 come complete with restore and a drivers disk which was a great help to me. another up point about this laptop is it comes with built in wirless, wich is great for surfing the internet anywhere around...

A strong but inexpensive contender

Advantages: Slim, light, easy to use and generally good looking
Disadvantages: Its not wide screen but who can complain for around £500

...I had been looking for a new laptop to ask for for my birthday in July since the beginning of 2005 and I found one, it was an Acer for £700, however, when my Dad went to order it there was none in stock so I had to very quickly find another one, the Fujitsu Siemens AMILO pro V2010. It wasn't the one I wanted so as soon as it came I was comparing the Siemens very harshly to the, much more expensive, Acer, I had expected to be extremely disappointed, but I wasn't. Believe you me I tried to dislike it but I just couldn't because it is a really nice piece of kit. Its got a mobile processor which I felt was really important as this doesn't attack the mobile battery like a normal desktop processor and so when the manufacturers say it's got three hour battery life it really does last that long. ...This is yet another great laptop made by fujitsu siemens. Its basically great for having around the house, and mainly for keeping on a desk most of the time. In fact id describe this as a replacement desktop, it will run just as fast as one and is so much smaller so why not get one instead of a huge desktop pc. This particular ones the Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3505 Edition, which is another spin off of the designs of the amilo’s. however this one does look a lot different to all the other amilos out there and is one of my favourite designs Fujitsu have done. Its combination of the colours black and silver/grey make this laptop look a lot more stylish and cooler than if it was all in just one colour. My favourite feature of this use of colour is how the grey keyboard stands out around the black bottom of the laptop...

Nice laptop, FAB extended warranty!

Advantages: Good specs, fast, wonderful extended warranties
Disadvantages: Feels a bit flimsy, no indicator lights showing wifi connection, etc.

.... My husband really enjoys this laptop for playing games, but that is not the laptop's main purpose for him and anyone who wants a gaming machine probably needs to do some research. It doesn't have indicator lights showing when the hard drive is working or when wifi is connected or when it's running on battery power (like my old Dell Inspiron does). Some people hate that. I'm not too bothered as I rarely paid attention to those lights, anyway. It also has buttons on the keypad to let you mute or change volume, which is very nice as my husband's last laptop didn't have that and it seemed to take forever for him to get the volume down if an ad popped up or a page had music! My current laptop has the "media" keys on the edge of the case facing me, which I like best, but having them on the keypad is a nice second-best option. The laptop also...

Advantages: Affordable price, great for basic needs
Disadvantages: poor graphic support

The connection betwen the screen and the body is firm as the screen stays where it is no matter how much the angle you rotate it, and the angle can go as far as 180 degree comfortably. This is very important as many laptop screens stoped working because the connection with the mainboard is damaged due to long-term rotation of the screen. For this laptop, I haven't had any trouble with the screen so far and I've had it for 2 years now. The Amilo Pro V3525 also has 4 USB 2.0 ports, which allows you to work with many external devices that uses USB connection, without having to buy an external USB hub. Advantages: Low price
Disadvantages: Can't handle complex operations

...I think this product is good for its price. A cheap laptop that is useful for minor operations such as surfing the internet or typing up word documents. However, this laptop is not very useful for more complex operations such as gaming or streaming media. A rather short battery life and not a great deal of memory. The hard drive is around average for a laptop of this spec but an external hard drive woud come in useful. My laptop also required a great deal of maintenence after problems with the fan and keys. This laptop is useful for a first time buyer that doesn't want to spend a great deal of money on a laptop and only uses it for simple operations. Useful for college or university work....
