Easynote Review
Review of Packard Bell EasyNote R0205 by
moses88
Advantages: Simple Design, Cheap
Disadvantages: Constant Flaws & Poorly Constructed laptop
...I exchanged my Apple iBook G4 for a Packard Bell EasyNote R0205 (second hand), the EasyNote is 512MB Ram, 50Gb HDD, 15" Screen, Gigabite Wireless Card, Windows XP Professional installed.
I am generally quite happy with the laptop and use it nearly all the time, I have quit using my desktop which is very powerful compared to the easynote.
But even with my constant use I have found a few problems.
- Cheaply created laptop
- Old Model for Today
- The laptop mouse always has occasional problems
I wanted a laptop for everyday use, so something quite powerful but with all the flaws it does the trick.
My advice is that don't buy this laptop if you are a heavy downloader or play games or anything major of the sort, because the laptop won't be able to handle it. If you want to download and are very keen to buy this laptop, i'd try...

Acer 7003wsmi
Review of Acer Aspire 7003WSMi - Sempron 3400+ - 17" TFT by
kristinaw857
Advantages: Great spec, great looking
Disadvantages: The computer is great but If anything goes wrong acer are useless
...I got this laptop as a christmas present from my fiance as i had a packard bell before but then the hard drive went on it.
This is quite a big laptop because it is a 17 inch screen so probably best for someone who doesnt carry their laptop around much. It has a built in webcam so good for someone who likes to chat on the internet or even just take pictures. It can take black and white pics, sepia, negative, sketching or of course normal colour pics.
It has plenty of storage space, i love to download films and music and had plenty of memory to do so.
The screen is fantastic, it is so clear and bright. It has a full keyboard including number pad at the side which i found excellent.
It also has wireless LAN and it is very easy to connect to.
This laptop is a perfect replacement for a desktop computer as i would say it does everything...

Style Class & Power
Review of Packard Bell EasyNote MB89 by
bigdean
Advantages: Graphics card great for high end gaming
Disadvantages: screen not bright enough in sunlight
...I have been using this laptop for a month now May 1st 2008
It is an amazing laptop for the price tag!
The graphics card deals with the latest high end games which i had problems with on my last laptop
I use it for DTP and to run my life
it is loaded with microsoft works 8.0 which is a home version of office and unless you need office this free software is just as good.
has no prolems with adobe cs2
i also use it as a sat nav when im on the road its portability is great
the only downsides i have found is that when playing dvd videos the picture has noise which isn't to bad if you sit awy from the screen
if you want to stand out from the crowd at your local wi-fi hotspot this laptop ouzes class and style with built in webcam and microphone skype has never been easier...

The Easynote friend.
Review of Packard Bell Easy Note by
buffymad3420
Advantages: Great price, great quality, great value!
Disadvantages: Short battery life.
...I bought the packard bell easynote about fifteen months ago and i haven't had many problems at all. The first reason i bought it was that it had a lovely design and i wasn't overly fussed about it's running speed, although it is fine when i am only using a couple of programs at the same time. The second was that it was very well priced for it's quality and it had everything i needed asi already had a fully functional destop computer, this laptop was perfect for my needs.
The laptops appearance - It had a silver covering with the packard bell logo centered on the top and another underneath the screen on the inside. The keyboard was black and rectangular and the mouse pad was an oval shape, with the two click buttons coming down around it getting wider at the bottom, it also had a mini scroll area at the side. When it is closed...

Packard Bell easynotes SW-51
Review of Packard Bell Easy Note by
andy_rea
Advantages: Large 17" glossy display, Numeric keypad
Disadvantages: No Serial or Parralell ports
...The Packard Bell easynote Laptop PC is a very nice looking machine with it's wide screen aspect 17 inch display giving room for a full sized keyboard with numeric keypad to the right hand side. the screen is of the glossy type and make using this machine a delight offing good contrast between light and dark area's in the display. It does not have a Floppy drive but these are not used much today anyway other lacking things are external ports, there is no serial or parralell ports although there are 4 hi-speed usb port 2 on the right rear and 2 on the right side, there is VGA output on the left and SVHS outputs on the rear, also a built in modem and Ethernet connection both at the left side of the machine. it has a DVD/cd writer and a large 'mouse pad' with easy to use left and right buttons as you would expect the mouse pad can also...

Packard Bell are a great company
Review of Packard Bell 900 Series by
judithritchie
Advantages: excellent customer service, good durable longlife models
Disadvantages: customer service is hellishly expensive
...When my dad wanted his first computer, I didnt hesitate in recommending Packard Bell. I had bought my computer from them a year and a half before, and I am still using it now! Which is great as it has a 260 MHz processor and 32Mb RAM but it seems to work just as fast as my dads! I see myself getting many more years out of this model yet!
The customer services and post-purchase support is excellent here in the UK, but I have to say you must either work for a phone compnay and get your bills paid for or remortgage your house if you ring their helpline with any serious problems, as the calls cost 75p a minute. One time my dad was on hold for 10 minutes which already ate up £7.50!
I loved the fact that I got a lot of software with the computer, and that everything is compatible, unlike my darn laptop I purchased a year later.
Id recommend...

Pakard bell easynote SW51-B-012 A**
Review of Packard Bell Easynote SW51-B-012 by
fitzi_74
Advantages: Huge screen
Disadvantages: Cdwriter/reader broke :(
...A fantastic laptop i must say! Im not that technical when it comes to features although im doing Alevel computing ! Generally this comuter does everything i need, i can play high res games on here on the internet i can download my music and play it , which i must say sound is crisp and brilliant on this laptop. I store all my photos and do all my schoolwork on here. Lots of memory which is quite har to fill up! Recognizes all hardware i use such as printers etc and can be setup wirelessly to a network. One of the best feauters is the screen size its brilliant way bigger than standard laptop screens and i love it! Only downfall is that my cd reader.writer has broke which i hope to get fixed ! other than that no problems! reccomended by me!...

Packard Bell interchangeable optical mouse
Review of Packard Bell Interchangeable Optical Mouse by
Martinscholes
Advantages: Great device
Disadvantages: Bit noisy
...I cannot stand the stupid, stupid, stupid mouse pad device thingies that come with laptop. I mean, sorry, life is too short to have to try to mess with these spawn of the devil style devices.
So in the same branch of Dixons that I bought my new laptop (sadly, this ultra-user-friendly and extremely good branch of Dixons was culled not so long back and we are supposed to now go to the nearest branch of PC World, home of the sneering techo-nerds, who love to show how clever they are and how stupid their customers are. But, I digress.
Back to the Packard Bell Mouse. I chose Packard Bell because I know the brand and because, knowing the brand, had laso chosen to buy a Packard Bell laptop.
I decided that I wanted one of the new-fangled optical mouses. Or is that meeces? Dang, correct grammar is not alwayseasy when applying it to new fields...

Excellent choice
Review of Packard Bell Easy Note by
Deenie
Advantages: Excellent price, problem-free, perfect design
Disadvantages: None
...shops and online retailers. They have quite a range of laptops and after looking at them and their specifications the Packard Bell Easy Note was definately the best choice. Even though it was not the most powerful in terms of speed it was the 'neatest' and best priced one! When you close it it is forms a slim sleek rectangle - unlike many of the others that were bubbly in shape and didn't close to produce a flush edge. It is a Pentium III 600 MHz or thereabouts with 64Mb RAM and lots of software already installed, and CDs also supplied. For those people who have never used a computer, or Windows, when you first turn it on you have the choice of going through a tutorial that will introduce you to Windows and how to use it. Perfect for dad! Also has a DVD drive for relaxation time...
PC World currently have this laptop on special offer...
