...I have used Dell Inspiron 1545 for a couple of months. I'm glad I made right decision. My friend who works in computer filed suggested me this one after asking me my demand for a laptop. First , I would like to say , it can totally meet all requirements I expected from a good laptop. I use it to write articles especially for my blog, to send and receive emails, to talk on MSN and Skype with my family and friends abroad. It never let me down. I also used it to watch TV including the programs on BBC Iplayer. Compared to my desk computer, I can feel the speed on my laptop was faster and the stability of the network was better. Second, it has nice overall design. Slim, Simple and sleek. You have three colors to choose . I chose the black one that matches from outside to inside. Review of Dell Inspiron 1545 Laptop

Nice laptop, FAB extended warranty!

Advantages: Good specs, fast, wonderful extended warranties
Disadvantages: Feels a bit flimsy, no indicator lights showing wifi connection, etc.

...This is really more a review of Dell's warranty than of the laptop itself, but as there was no section for such a thing I thought I'd combine the two. The laptop: It's a good little machine with pretty good specs for its price. You can already get more for your money than when we bought it just a few months ago, so check the current offers (make sure to look around the Web site, as I found by clicking on various offers I got the same machine for less) You can also now get a free upgrade to Windows 7 when that comes out later this year. It's fast, cute, and does everything we need. You can get it in a variety of colors, either for free if there is an offer on or for about 30 quid otherwise. Black is free whether an offer is on or not. Also, some have said it's not good for gaming -- that is probably only true if you are a hardcore gamer...

Dell Inspiron 1545 - good entry level laptop

Disadvantages: Probably not powerful enough for games, bottom of the market now

...The Dell Inspiron 1545 is an easy to use entry level laptop. Unlike two years ago when I bought my previous laptop, you can now get a number of Dell computers (of which this is one) direct from high street retailers. This is good if you want it in a rush and want a nearby place to handle any issues, but has the disadvantage that you can't customise your laptop to your own requirements to the same extent that you can if you buy it direct from Dell (which takes several weeks). Because Dell are so good at allowing customisation, you need to be very careful when you buy that you actually get the one you need - they are not all the same, so you can't just go into a shop and say "Give me your Inspiron 1545" - you need to be sure that it e.g. has a suitable processor, enough memory and a big enough hard drive for your needs. The dell inspiron laptop is it a good buy!

Advantages: The look of the dell inspiron laptop seems more classy then other notepads. It is simplistic.
Disadvantages: Maybe Dell Have gone too simplistic with this model as the features are nothing to rave about

...it can be carrioed round in a smaller laptop bag rather then one that is quite aqkward. It is up to you whether the positives out weigh the negatives, but in my opinion there are notepads out there which are of better value with better features. However they mya not look as nice or be so simple....

Trolley-tastic!

...My little boy Harry has been dragged around the shops with me since he was about 3 weeks old. Consequently, he rather loves sitting in the big supermarket trolley being Daddy's trolley helper when we do our weekly shop. So when it came to thinking of things for Father Christmas to bring Harry, we couldn't quite resist buying him this little trolley! The trolley is made the company Smoby, who produce a large range of children's toys, available in toy shops and all across the internet. The trolley comes in the colours of light blue and a lime green, with fetching red wheels. The wheels are held on by plastic screws which are nice and sturdy and rotate smoothly, and squeak free! ...I received a DVD in a jiffy bag recently opened the bag carefully and put the bag ready to reuse with about 20 other old jiffy bags I have ready for recycling. Actually I am not sure that all of them are genuine jiffy bags but they are the same sort of thing. Jiffy bags made by Jiffy have been available for several years now I think they go back to the 1950?s. Jiffy bags are handy padded envelope bags that can be bought in a variety of sizes some as small as to 164 x 285mm, then several sizes upwards to 247 x 387mm, probably even larger ones available. The original bag is a golden brown heavy duty paper. The padded filling can be as simple as shredded paper. SWORDFISH SUMATRA laptop bag bought from Dixons

Advantages: The bag looks ok, but otherwise no advantages to be found
Disadvantages: don't waste your money and Dixons customer service is dire.

...I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy this product. In the 6 months that I have owned this bag I have felt more and more disappointed. with it. I haven't used it that regularly and most of the time it has been sitting in my home. The problem is that it is literally falling apart. The zips were the first to go and this started almost immediately. Every zip pull has now broken off and I've had to resort to inserting paper clips to pull the zips across. The straps were the next to start to go. They have now all started to come away from the bag. I am worried about using it in case one of the straps completely goes and my laptop crashes to the ground. I expected this bag to last me for years. Even the letters on the Swordfish logo have been dropping off (very shoddy). Dixons say there is nothing they can do about it as I don't have...
