...I recently got this mouse from Toys R Us about 1 month ago. I choose it because it was small only priced £19.99 (in a sale) and made by Logitech I like that make it has never let me down. The thing I like most about it is the size of it its only about 10 centimetres the wireless USB receiver is only about 5 if that. The reason I bought it is because I was getting annoyed at my laptops touch pad as it was really small and you cant drag or highlight things and the fact that im a gamer so I really needed a mouse. This was my first laser mouse as well the other ones I've had are the ones that have the big red light at the bottoms I think there called optical mouse's. What comes in the box? Well you get a package(the really annoying plastic stuff which you cant open unless you use scissors.) A disc which contains the control panel...

Logitech MX1000 Laser Mouse VS Microsoft

Advantages: comfortable, lots of customisable controls, long battery life, good response

...for the the past 18 months and I only replaced it because i thought that the improved resolution would make a difference to working on photographs in Photoshop, it doesn't. In fact the difference in quality and functionality between the two mice means I have split up the matching set of Microsoft laser keyboard and mouse and am now using Microsoft keyboard and Logitech mouse. Although desperately need to get rid of the overpriced Microsoft keyboard and replace it with something more reliable. To conclude, if you are in the market for a new hi definition cordless mouse - I would advise not going for the bigger name of the two (Microsoft) but rather go for this Logitech. It's a great product which will give you everything you need from a mouse and then some....

...I purchased this from Tesco Direct for £22.50 but had to buy an extra item to make it up to £25 so I could get free delivery. I bought batteries but according to the Logitech description of this desktop set and the inclusion of batteries in the box, I shouldn't need them for at least six months.....we'll see :) First of all, the product is packaged well and the clear plastic lets you see the product before buying. Included in the box is a quick set-up guide and a disc with the Setpoint software on it. First thing to do is insert the batteries and then plug in the USB receiver. There is an extension cable included with a little dock on it if space is limited behind your computer. Inuendo central for the cordless Logitech Trackman Wheel mouse!

Advantages: wireless, accurate, comfortable, and durable
Disadvantages: doesnt like super super fine work, gets tacky quite quickly

...invented first! although it does lack left handed capabilities for obvious reasons, but its that easy to use that even a left handed person could probably cope.... it has the normal left mouse button, right mouse button and centre scroll wheel which is also a normal push type button that can be pressed in.. the buttons can be a little sensitive and a rested finger weight will press it in causing a click! for me its usually the right button... the mouse ball is situated in a cup on the left hand side, which is used to feedback the movement of the ball to laser-type sensor under the ball and slightly to the side of the ball itself... which gives the user a complete 3d-like experience and with a flick its the other side of the screen, and the ball wheelspins too with a quicker flick!.. and is great for watching the cursor zip across the screen...

...Look and feel are amazing, the USB receiver slots into the mouse turning it on and off which is cool. Choice of smooth or ratchet scroll wheel which is nice, scroll wheel tilts left and right as buttons, and pushes in as a button but I find this really hard to use. Zoom in and out toggle and back and forward buttons, all configurable. Small-ish but fine for large hands I feel. Massie teflon feet glide so well. It only takes one AA battery which is nice and the laser technology is very precise. It's extremely comfortable, I have been in favour of Logitech over Microsoft mice for a while now, it's like holding a water baloon, it's the exact shape you'd want a mouse to be (assuming your right handed!)
