...What we have here is the Brother MFC-7420 Multifunction digital laser device. Try saying it in one breath. Go on, I challenge you to say it in one breath. Did you manage it? If you did then you probably deserve a medal, but then so would 'Brother' for managing to cram so many features and uses into one device. That is a challenge in itself, and I'd imagine it was far from easy to accomplish and keep the design as attractive as it is. I know what you're thinking though. You've seen plenty of other printers out there that also do copying, scanning and faxing. They may even have been a fair bit cheaper. This is true, but what this item has in its favour is the speed of the printing, the attractive design, the brand name 'BROTHER' attached to it and the hardcore feel of the product. A Horrible Fax Machine!

Not only it costed me more than £30 two years ago but for the little times I've needed it it hardly worked properly. eFax.com - Definately the best free fax service

Since I do business with some companies in the States it works out cheaper for them to send me faxes on a local USA fax number. They are incredibly fast. ...I am posting this opinion here as I'm quite sure that the C50 is the same as the C530. Canon Multipass C530 – Fax, Printer, Scanner and Copier. = The Canon MultiPass C530 is extremely easy to set up. In the beginning, it's a little confusing to operate which is due to its many functions. Once you get the hang of it, then its really quite easy to operate. The printer function is just as easy as any other printer (although I don’t print much with this as I already have an HP Printer), and the printing and copying quality is reasonably good. Images and documents are easily scanned, no matter what the size. There are different settings depending on what you're scanning. ...I've lived with ink-jet printers for years. Canon gave me the first bubble-jet and Epson have supplied the later models - various models of Stylus including C80, C84 and C86. They get heavy use for work and all have given some headaches with clogged heads. So a mixture of desperation and hope, together with keen pricing, has led me down the colour laser printer road. The Epson Aculaser may not be a cute laser, but it does work a treat. Specification ++++++++++ I'll not go into all the technical stuff, it is readily available from Epson's site or any of the dealers. But what you need to know is that this printer uses a laser and is a 4 pass machine, doing each colour separately. That makes it a tad slower than single pass machines... but much cheaper. It uses four toner cartridges - black, magenta, cyan and yellow...
