Last Holiday: Wonderful comedy with powerful moral!

Advantages: Brilliant moral lesson to be earned out of the movie- MINUS the intense heavy and boring stuff!

Last Holiday? - Hope Not

Advantages: Sweet, Dynamic Lead, Comforting
Disadvantages: Nothing Really New

...Georgia Byrd has spent her whole life doing things which neither excite nor reward her - she has never done anything to offend or upset anyone else and has worked hard her whole life. However, when she finds out that she has less than a month to live she realises what a 'waste' her life has been and decides to do everything that she ever wanted to???. Starting with a holiday to Prague and a designer makeover. Last Holiday is probably one of the most rigidly unrealistic and clichéd offerings I have seen all year, there are more plot holes in the script to drive several fork lift trucks through and the viability of the whole is extremely questionable - but it is certainly the most enjoyable piece of Hollywood fluff I have seen in years. It's a bad film when looked over with a critical eye - but its just so lively, touching, jolly...

Holidays for the whole family

Advantages: Great Family Holiday, value for money

...Since writing this review, i have been on three more Eurocamp holidays and all i can say is they have been even better, I will update on those ones shortly. Sorry a bit long this one but so much to say on it.. I discovered Eurocamp by accident last year while searching on the internet trying to find a good family holiday but at a low affordable price. We are quite a large family comprising of myself, my husband and 4 young very active sons of 10yrs, 8yrs, 7yrs and an 18 month old, so this was not an easy task. We have had many good holidays in Britain but wanted to go abroad as we never have together as a family before, mainly due to the cost. ...Last holiday is a truly delightful film. The plot consists of Queen Latifan playing the character called Georgia Byrd. Georgia is a clerk at a department store in New Orleans who is a brilliant cook. However no matter how passion she may be about a subject, she will not pursue her dreams, as she thinks about consequences first. After bumping her head, she?s admitted to have a MRI scan, when results come in she is quite upset to realise that she only has 3 weeks to live. Then for once in her life she is not thinking first, she raids all her savings and books one last holiday at a grand hotel. However, her wild spending, ruffles activities, and expensive tastes attracts attention of others staying in the hotel, and not being afraid to say what she thinks, she certainly causes a storm. Family Holiday with a toddler and baby

...We went for our first holiday as a family of 4 in June this year. We spent 7 days with Keycamp at there Menhirs site in Normandy. It was FANTASTIC. We booked in October last year and the total cost for ferry and mobile home was in the region of £500. With Keycamp you can choose from a number of 'camping' options. The basic and cheapest being their Canvas tents, the basic mobile home 'Classic Midi', followed by Supernovas and Villa Grande. We opted for the Supernova which consisted of a lounge come dining room, kitchen, bathroon (shower) and 2 bedrooms. The Villa Grandes did look more luxiourious and come with a micorwave -BUT - they are more expensive as well. We had a double room (bed, wardrobe and chest of draws but not enough room to swing a cat!). Our 2 year old slept on the the bottom bunk in the small bedroom...

Nineteen minutes will last a lifetime!

Least Holiday

...given a wishy washy Hollywood makeover in the last 15 minutes of the film. The film is as predictable as it is empty. If you cant see the "twist" hurling towards you from the get-go, then get yourself a guide dog. As it is a comedy, they have managed to tack on a few comedy moments that are funny. Watch out for the hilarious sequence with Georgia on the ski-slope. The rest of the comedy is just as predictable as the rest of the film. What a waste of 90 minutes. And the extra's are no better. 20 years in the making is complete dross. In fact about the only thing interesting in the entire package is the trailer which is more watchable than the film itself. In fact, the story is all packed into the trailer anyway, so save yourself the bother if you are tempted to buy the dvd. The soundtrack is rather good though with music supplied...

Lovely Family Holiday

Advantages: Beautifyl, relaxing, adverturous, loved it!

After looking at www.slholidays.co.uk we decided on White Cross Bay in the Lake District. I have to say we all have a thoroughly fantastic time and I would definitely recommend it and we will be going back. We split the party into two groups - I was with 3 other adults and 2 kids. We paid for 7 nights in a classic lodge and it was £606 - Bargain! Split between us 4 adults it was just £150 for seven nights in the Lakes. EXPRESS by HOLIDAY INN great for family value.

Advantages: Good location but not in City centre.
Disadvantages: None if booked for what it is for.

...We were to attend a Family Wedding, the reception to be held at the Marriott Hotel Peterborough. Needed a good value Hotel for the group and found this Hotel was just across the road from the Marriott. Booked thru BOOKING.COM and got three rooms. 1 Double, 1 Room for two adults and one child, 1 Room for two adults and two children. The Room prices were all the same £45 per night, with breakfast. Children sharing a room with two adults come free. We were staying two nights Friday and Saturday as wedding was at 12 o'clock so did not want to rush on the Sat morning. We wre due to arrive at 8 Fri Evening, I emailed this to the hotel and received a swift reply that this had been noted on our reservation. The holiday of a lifetime.... for the Royle family that is...

Advantages: Great humour, some cracking banter and an all round entertaining hour
Disadvantages: can be some slow moments but nothing worth worrying about
