Air Arabia

Advantages: Cheap no frill airline covering the Middle East, N Africa and Sub-Continent
Disadvantages: Taxes often more expensive than the flight

...Air Arabia is one of the first 'no frills' airlines to be launched in the Middle East and currently flies to over 30 destinations in the region, including some in N Africa and the sub-Continent. Their current hub is Sharjah, one of the 7 Emirates making up the United Arab Emirates. Known more for it's neightbour of Dubai, Sharjah is one of the smaller Emirates but easily accessible to all of the UAE. The launch of this airline has revolutionised cheap air travel in the region and for people coming from elsewhere, it means that it's now possible to cheaply visist a number of countries without having to pay top notch fares on airlines like Emirates, Gulf Air and Etihad. Seven Pillars of Wisdom

Advantages: Beautiful to look at, Excellent actors
Disadvantages: Very long character driven film

...Lawrence of Arabia (1962) We begin at the end. T.E. Lawrence died in a motorcycle accident in Dorset, on 19th May 1935. He was 46 years old. The almost mundane circumstances of his death were a huge contrast to the extraordinary life he had led. The making of Lawrence of Arabia was a long and arduous journey, as were Lawrence's own experiences. It took a year and a half to shoot, and with so many remarkable and epic scenes it is understandable why. Some of the more memorable anecdotes come from Peter O'Toole, who played Lawrence. He remarked how the filming of a scene in which he talks with actor Jack Hawkins whilst descending a staircase had to be re-shot later, and so in the final film edit by the time he had reached the bottom of the staircase he was a year older than when he started. The only film ever with no women in it

Advantages: a great story line and great acting
Disadvantages: no women!

...and i would watch it again and again the plot is quite compicated so it takes about 3 hours for the film to finish. I evenknow someone who met lawrence of Arabia (as it is a real story). Unfortunately the real Lawrence of Arabia died in a motorbike accident) He was quite an arrogant man but he had a good sense of ambition and never gave up which made him such a successful man as he was. The film is shown very often and won many oscars Lawrence Olivia who played lawrence of arabia he is very good in it as he usually acts on the stage. Definately a film not to miss. Oh yeah there was a female in the film but it was a camel !!!...

A True Epic

Advantages: Direction, Cinematography and Musical Score
Disadvantages: Small screen can never do true justice

.... With hindsight it explains many problems facing our world today. I have a collection of DVDs, which are personal, memorable movie moments of my life. Lawrence of Arabia is definitely one of those moments. The setting for my first viewing was a huge tent at Trecco Bay, a large caravan park, in Porthcawl, South Wales where I was on holiday with my family. The floor was bare sand, which added to the atmosphere created by the film, and I was about 11 or 13. The experience was magical and intense, without any full understanding of the artistry involved. Maturity brought the knowledge of why this was such a great film, and it has less to do with the acting out of a story and a lot to do with the creation of a visually stunning experience. It deservedly won Oscars for Direction, Cinematography and Musical Score, which are what bring this...

The Church of St Lawrence, Eyam

Advantages: Lots of history, plenty to see and do
Disadvantages: Not everyones choice of a day out

...The small Derbyshire village of Eyam is most famous for its association with the bubonic plague in the 17th century. The plague was brought here from London in 1666 via infected cloth and within just a few weeks over half of the population of Eyam had died. Many people are drawn here by this moving story and those that know the story well will know that that the Church of St Lawrence that stands in the centre of this pretty village is paramount in the story. When the plague struck in 1666 the Church had already been standing for almost five centuries. However in those days it was dedicated to St Helen and was not renamed until around 1900. Advantages: Very effective and Easy to Clean

...This review is for the Lawrence Cat Shedder, however, as it this is just a miniature replica of the dog shedder, I can?t see there being a lot of difference. I adopted two cats a couple of years ago, one of which has a very sleek coat which turned out to be notoriously hard to groom. Since then I have been on a quest to find a brush that actually takes the dead fur off him, not just for the sake of my vacuum cleaner, but because it?s not nice or healthy for him not to be stuck with dead hair on him. My quest has lead me to come home at weekends clutching a new brush or comb wondering if this would be ?the one?, to the exasperated sighs and rolling of eyes of my boyfriend that I?d bought ANOTHER brush! Martin Lawrence Live - Runteldat

Advantages: Hilarious throughout with a twist of philosophy.
Disadvantages: Could easily offend many people. Special features don't add much.

...One weekend I was on the lookout for a good comedy film and I came across this Martin Lawrence stand up. Having only seen in him good cop - bad cop movies before (all of which I found amazingly funny) I wasn't aware that this was where he started his career so I thought I'd give him a shot. It starts with a short film about the trials and tribulations (a phrase you shall hear throughout the stand-up) in Martin's life, both personally and professionally, and is a real eye-opener for those who just thought of him as an uncomplicated comedy actor. The stand-up itself starts with the obligatory thankyou's and minor insults directed at the crowd but once he gets into his flow his comedy brilliance really shines through. ...As an avid rugby fan I have recently read 3 autobiographies , Dallaglio's, Martin Johnson's and Jonny Wilkinson's. For me Dallaglio's was the bes read by some distance. Looks The cover of this book features a closeup of Lawrence in the rain playing for Wasps issuing a rallying cry to the troops. I think this captures the man perfectly and this view is further enhanced by reading the book. The back cover is a great shot of Dallaglio picking up from the back of the scrum for England vs New Zealand. Format The book starts right at the beginning of Dallaglio's life and chronicles his rugby career from the very beginnings through to the end of his playing days. The book is frank and to the point.
