Advantages: 10 - 15 mins drive from City Centre on a bus Disadvantages: Management have cloth ears
...With all the recent development at LBA, it is certinly gearing itself up for more passengers, its a realpity it has blocked off the views from the upstairs cafe over the runways and apron, which used to be one of its more endearing facets.
Using either Amsterdam, Brussels, London or Paris as a hub you can travel the World from LBA, I recently flew to Florida via London from LBA and it was certainly great to be able to check in your baggage at LBA and not see it until arrival in Orlando..
I did email my views as a local Councillor and a Member of the Institute of Transport Administration to the Management of LBA, but I havent even had the courtesy of a reply from them, which is a shame..
So management aside LBA is an excellent startin point to your journey, it is easily accessible from all of Yorkshire and with regular...
Advantages: one of the most engrossing adventures you will ever play, some of the best designed characters around, really cheap Disadvantages: Its getting on a bit now
...?Little Big Adventure 2' or ?LBA2' as its known for short was released back in 1997 and this makes it, for a PC game anyway, pretty old. However this doesn't prevent it from being one of the best games ever made. Its a sequel to ?Little Big Adventure', hence the 2, which was one of the biggest selling and most highly acclaimed PC games of all time. This meant ?LBA2' had to be good or there would be a lot of unhappy gamers. The makers ?Adeline Software' didn't disappoint.......they produced what is possibly the best PC adventure game ever.
?LBA2' sees you take the role of Twinsen, who saved his planet Twinsun, named because off its two suns surprisingly, in the prequel, and he has become a hero on his native island of ?Citadel Island'. He even has a museum dedicated to him with artifacts of his past adventures...
Advantages: Brilliant story/gameplay, good graphics for the time, still highly playable. Disadvantages: hard to run on a modern operating system, old by gaming standards.
...When I first bought Little Big Adventure (LBA), I must have been no older than 12. I remember playing the demo off a CD from a games magazine and thinking, "I must have this game!". Well, as soon as it was my birthday I went to PC World as proceeded to buy the game.
It's basically the story of a hero named Twinson who overthrows the evil tyranny of the villian, Professor Funfrock. This is set in a fantasy world fun of magic, crazy inventions and different species of character, all ready to be interacted with and explored.
I must have completed it at least 8 times before the CD got so scratched up that I could no longer play. Now I am eighteen and a few months ago I discovered that one of my friends had a working copy of both LBA and it's sequel LBA2, which is also excellent.
Needless to say, I borrowed the CDs, installed them...
Advantages: The website is easy to use and it is quicker to book flights than over the phone. Disadvantages: However - large items may not be able to pre-booked
...My Father has flown with Jet2 twice in the past 12months and both times he was carrying a bicycle in a carry case. Obviously this is a large item, and yet it cannot be booked in prior to the flight day.
The flight (from LBA to Paris) was booked over the internet and it informed us that bikes could not be pre-checked. Therefore we had to phone Jet2, which took forever to get through. FInally we were told we would just have to hope there was enough room in the hold for the bike once everyone elses luggage was stored. This could have been an absolute nightmare, if the bike hadn't have fit in ,the whole holiday would have been cancelled at the last minute. I do not understand why bikes cannot be pre-booked as other items can be.As far as I am aware Jet2 didn't provide us with an answer.
Luckily there was room and my Dad managed to...

Review of Jet2
...Twinsen`s Odyssey is the sequel to one of the stranger looking adventure games on the market - Little Big Adventure. LBA was a lot of fun, the product of a very twisted but ingenious imagination combining a simplisitic idea which quirky, cutesy characters and some sumptuous graphics as well as a fair amount of gameplay throw in for good measure. Twisnen`s Odyssey takes this a stage further brushing up on the graphics and adding in more of the above which made the first so much fun.
Put simply - its a great game.
You basically play Twinsen who is on a quest to save his planet of Twinsun. Of course at the start you do not realise this but instead it looks like you are on a rather less than heroic quest to get some dinofly(you pet dinosaur which can fly) medicine from the pharmacist. However, there is a freak storm so first you must...
Advantages: Quiet, peaceful, copious banks and stamp shops Disadvantages: Not a throbbing metropolis, and pricey with it!
...Taking the opportunity to travel to Liechtenstein as part of a few days holiday exploring Vorarlberg, Switzerland and Liechtenstein over the festive period, I chose to head to Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein ? a tiny principality that nestles among the Alps surrounded by Switzerland and Austria.
Getting there was no easy matter ? Vaduz may be Liechtenstein?s capital, but it boasts neither a train station nor an airport. Fortunately the Liechtenstein Bus service (www.lba.li) took me from Feldkirch in Vorarlberg, through assorted villages to Vaduz, the capital. A day pass for the buses costs EUR 3.20 or CHF 5.00 ? the Swiss Franc (CHF) being the currency in use in Liechtenstein although many shops also accept Euro. To get to Vaduz I had to change buses in Schaan ? with the country?s only railway station (Schaan-Vaduz) being a stone...
