Advantages: Perfect picture

Panasonic does it again

Advantages: Range of features, quality
Disadvantages: Single tuner

...can find this available for around £250 which is a bargain as the performance would seriously hint at more like £400+. This is a perfect partner for my Panasonic HD TV and it will work brilliantly with a load of other top Plasma or LCD TV's as well. A brilliant product that has so much going for it....

Panasonic Lumix TZ6, Versatile compact with great image quality

Advantages: Fantastic little camera with 12 x zoom & 10.1MP (better than TZ5), but cheaper than TZ7
Disadvantages: No HD movie mode, not very cheap

...I can find on theTZ7isaslightly better LCD screen, but I don't think this is worth shelling out for. Conclusions There are many cheaper digital compacts on the market, but not with the amazing image quality and zoom of the Panasonic TZ range. If movie mode is not particularly important to you, I think that the TZ6 (with image quality equal to the latest model) is the best compromise between price and features....

I Admit It, I'm A Panasonic Loaf Lover!

Advantages: Gorgeous bread, easy to make, easy to use, cheap bread, healthier
Disadvantages: Initial outlay but worth the investment.

Another great offering from Panasonic

Advantages: Great black levels, terrific contrast and detail, freesat tuner

Panasonic Lumix TZ6 - metal-bodied compact zoom

Advantages: Sturdiness, Ease of use, Autofocus Tracking
Disadvantages: Overshadowed by the TZ7, Tries to do everything for you

...I always find it a little strange when a company releases two similar models at the same time, especially when the price difference is only around £40. The Panasonic Lumix TZ6 and TZ7 are similar stable-mates, with the TZ7 being the superior of the two. Having said that, the extra features of the TZ7 are things I can quite comfortably live without, such as the superior video capability with stereo sound, an HDMI output, and the ability of the camera to recognise up to 15 of your friends when they appear in a picture. Why would I want that? I don't have 15 friends - and even if I did, I'm sure I could remember them myself! Brilliant Bread Every Time - Panasonic SD 254

Advantages: The best bread you will ever taste, on a timer just ready in time for breakfast.
Disadvantages: If you can't wait since it smells so good... you might burn your fingers like me!

...This Panasonic SD 254 bread maker was a spur-of-the-moment impulse buy from Macro when it was on special offer about a year ago, for £50. My mother needs to eat a gluten-free diet which means she cannot eat regular bread but with this machine she has been able to create loaves both from a gluten-free bread book and also just herself from the skill she has honed with this machine. I have tried both the shop bought and homemade wheat-free bread and there is no comparison, hands down the Panasonic SD 254 wins. When purchased the box was extremely heavy as this machine contains a lot of mixing equipment which has been cast in metal to make it will last under the pressure of mixing thick dough. Protected by polystyrene box inserts the machine came along with a small measuring cup, spoon and the usual user's guide as well as a warranty card...

Look and Design It's of a reasonable size and weight and fits easily into an average cabinet. It has width: 430mm, depth: 330mm and height: 59mm. It weighs 3.2 kg It isn't overly flashy and just looks like an average DVD player. But this also means it blends in quite well and doesn't contrast with anything. Pocket-sized Panasonic produces perfect pictures.

Disadvantages: Poorly situated controls.
