Lido De Jesolo

Advantages: Its safe, fun and very family friendly
Disadvantages: More expensive due to a weak pound currently .

...My family and I have visited Jesolo twice in the last 4 years. Here are our thoughts on Lido De Jesolo: It has been and in some respects rightly called the Blackpool of the Adriatic. I can see why people would say that. Its a family resort primarily and has lots of shops and local traders all plying for your euros. There however the similarity ends. Jesolo is wonderful. Its clean, vibrant, hospitable and family orientated. Without doubt the place to go with a young family if you want a bit on sun, sand and entertainment. I was shocked on our first night ot as the main road closed to vehicles in the evening. We just strolled along taking in the atmosphere, you still have to avoid the numerous cycles though. Lido Life

Advantages: Nice to cool down and chill out on a hot day
Disadvantages: No go zone in bad weather

...Tinside Lido is situated on the historic Plymouth Hoe in Plymouth, Devon. Built in 1935 this art deco Lido was fully restored in 2003, at the cost of £3.4 million, after some years of neglect had left the grade II listed building more of an eyesore than a landmark. It is an unheated, seawater (treated) swimming pool open to the public for just a few months in the summer season. When I was a youngster I often swam at this pool either with my family or under the supervision of Port Of Plymouth Swimming club and have many happy memories. After the refurbishment I swore I would never swim there again, as, in my opinion too much money was spent on a pool that would only be open for a few months of the year when we have a dire shortage of decent indoor swimming pools in Plymouth. It offers such features as the beer cellar with its own mini-brewery, restaurant and bistro, live music, open air ice-rink and attractions in the amusement park, shops full of souvenirs, as it is a tourist destination. The translation of the title meaning the Red Circle was based upon a Buddhist motto about those people who are destined to meet, eventually will. In this film the types of scenes included are an escaping prisoner, murder scene, police man-hunt, mob battles and an armed robbery to steal diamonds. Jeff Costello (Alain Delone) then jumps into a car, with a set of master keys. He starts the car, and smokes a cigarette. Eventually he finds the right key by good luck and drives off. He then meets a criminal mechanic. The mechanic gives Jeff some cash, later goes to his pocket and gives him a gun. Here during this scene not a word is spoken. This film is low on dialogue though maintains a great sense of direction, pace and focus throughout. The suspense of each scene and the plot is amazing to watch.
