...As some of you may know i have recently moved house and i have purchased my leather suite from the land of leather, i just had to write a review on the level of service i recieved and the quality of the suite itself. So it was the beginning of April and some of you may recall an advertisement being on television for the land of leather a range of special deals for one day only. So as i was interested in buying a new suite i took a drive to my nearest land of leather to view the suites which where part of this special twelve hour spectacular. The showroom had a magnificient range of leather and material sofas and chairs in many shapes and sizes at quite reasonable prices as other furniture showrooms i had been to before had been expensive. Not Real Leather

Advantages: None at all
Disadvantages: You can't be sure of what you're getting and the quality is dredfull!

...Having purchased a suite (2 x 2 seater + 1 chair) that was supposed to be leather I awaited delivery which was on the day specified and was quick and efficient which I know isn't everybody's experience. The suite looked Ok if not a little cheap. The first sign of things being not as they seem were the supposed wooden feet which I soon found out were not even wood. Obviously it must save them a lot of money to make the legs out of a white plaster/ chalk like substance and paint it to look like wood and most people won't find out till they hit it with the vacuum cleaner and a chunk falls off leaving a white gouge. This was annoying but after a few more months we started to get cracks in the leather and it started to peel, fair enough i thought I've obviously not looked after it properly but then on looking at what was underneath...

Anyway here goes, I went to Land Of Leather on Boxing Day - they were extremely busy (seems a lot of other people got sucked in by Land of Leather?s ?great offers? on the TV). Eventually me and the missus finally decided on a suite and ordered two 3 seaters and two footstools, paid a deposit of £100.00 leaving a balance of £1700.00 and was told I would receive delivery in 14 weeks. Land of Leather excelled in my opinion.

Advantages: Very fast service and simple process.
Disadvantages: None with this sale.

...ONLINE PURCHASE. On saturday evening , after seeing a very nice suite in the newspaper (3 seater and 2 seater), i had a look online for more details. It was in the sale for both chairs at £599 plus £69 delivery. Bargain! I telephoned a nearby branch to confirm that it was leather as i saw it also said leather material and was told that it was real leather mainly(sides were just imitation leather material and back). He also advised me on comfort of the suite i wanted to buy and was very helpful, especially as he knew he was not getting sale as i told him that i was buying online. So, sure about my decision , i purchased on the land of leather site that saturday evening .The site was extremely simple to use and payment & details simple and quick.I paid £146 deposit at that time. ...I purchased a 3 2 sofa deal from Land of Leather Belfast on 30th Dec. 07. I had spent the whole Sunday afternoon wandering around various Belfast furniture shops with my mother while she found something she wanted. Eventually we returned back to Land of Leather as my mother had eventually made up her mind and went back to one of the first sofas she seen - it was in stock and her other choice had a delivery time of 12-14 weeks. (typical woman, but that is another story !) I duly paid the assistant and rather than pay £69 delivery said that I would arrange collection myself and was given the warehouse number to ring to arrange a suitable time. Land of Leather is land of bureaucratic service

Advantages: may be cheaper than others
Disadvantages: late deliveries, do not answer the phone, no coordination between them
