...Buy one and a half sizes up from your normal size. I am a size six and a half normally, and would not have been comfortable in anything other that the size eight that I bought. The boots are NOT waterproof, even after the first use in mildly wet conditions. I will have to buy a spray to see if I can make them waterproof. I had read other reviews saying that these boots were not waterproof, but decided to go for them anyway and waterproof them myself if necessary, as I needed the support or this boot. They are very comfortable & supportive. I bought these particularly for the arch support, as I have plantar faciitis. I had two blisters after first use, on the inside edge of my right foot, but this seemed to be just a case of wearing them in. Seemed fine on second wearing....

...available for men in the same Skiddaw range as women. **********Disadvantages********** It is quite a heavy boot, however as it is leather and so sturdy then it is what you would probably expect. I think I also changed the laces as mine frayed at the end quite quickly, but it's always good to take a spare pair incase yours snap! **********Boot Care********** I use boot 'Nikwax Wax for Waterproofing Leather' which you can pick up for approximately 2.99GBP (from Millets) when you buy your boots. Other ranges are available, sprays are too if you don't have the time. I really would recommend using protection cover once you have purchased your boots after wearing them in for a while. Just let the mud dry, scrape it off with and old knife, and rub the wax into the boot using an old cloth or something. Focus on the toe and the seams...

The great thing is that they sell name brands of products that are well known and respected in the beauty market and include so many things you want to buy. In fact, I sometimes go into Boots just to browse at the products and get lots of different ideas of things that I would like to buy. They have a big section of make up counters/cases where lots of different products are sold such as Maybelline, Revlon etc. Here they stock pretty much the whole range where you can try the testers and then buy what you like.
