...As some of you may know i have recently moved house and i have purchased my leather suite from the land of leather, i just had to write a review on the level of service i recieved and the quality of the suite itself. So it was the beginning of April and some of you may recall an advertisement being on television for the land of leather a range of special deals for one day only. So as i was interested in buying a new suite i took a drive to my nearest land of leather to view the suites which where part of this special twelve hour spectacular. The showroom had a magnificient range of leather and material sofas and chairs in many shapes and sizes at quite reasonable prices as other furniture showrooms i had been to before had been expensive. Tripp Trapp Chair

Advantages: baby to adult use; good posture
Disadvantages: chair can be flipped by child; difficult to get cushions off

...My husband found this chair and we have been very happy with it. We live in a small house and have no where to store a high chair so we got this chair in black (to match our table) and it stays at the table with our chairs. Our son is now 12 months old and we have been using it with him since he was 6 months. We have never used the restraints on it and our son has always sat very upright in it. Other high chairs that he has sat in, he has slumped forward in. This one keeps him in excellent posture. It sits right up to the table and is a perfect height. He sits with us at the table at lunch and dinner and he feels more part of the family. The Tripp Trapp is supposed to encourage good eating habits and manners from an early age as the baby eats at the table with you instead of to the side with a tray. The cost is justified by...

The main aim of the chair is so your baby/child can sit up at the table with you, (there is no food tray) therefore encouraging your little one to join in with the family and feel a part of what is going on. the way the highchair has been designed means that it doesn't take up much space and is solid so won't tip over. it is pleasant to look at so doesn't have to be hidden away. the main design with the seat and foot plate is that they can be moved up or down to accomodate your child's size, encouraging them to sit up straight and with their feet on a base rather than hanging freely. Most highchairs i've seen, the child ends up sitting slouched or has slid down and ends up in a twisted position. The wood is easy to clean, and the covers are washable, although it is harder to take the seat cushion off...

I love this chair!

Advantages: Excellent quality, really solid, baby can join in family meals at the table
Disadvantages: Personally haven't found any yet.....

They have been around for ages, and I know various family friends who have had the same chair(s) for twenty-five years, now using them at the computer or still at the kitchen table. So the longevity of a product like that is a distinct advantage, particularly since with highchairs the usual shelf-life is so short and they end up in the loft / cellar after a few years. The quality of the wood, and the design, contributes to this longevity. It really feels solid. You have to build it yourself but it's only a few parts and the instructions are very easy to follow. Not Real Leather

Advantages: None at all
Disadvantages: You can't be sure of what you're getting and the quality is dredfull!

...Having purchased a suite (2 x 2 seater + 1 chair) that was supposed to be leather I awaited delivery which was on the day specified and was quick and efficient which I know isn't everybody's experience. The suite looked Ok if not a little cheap. The first sign of things being not as they seem were the supposed wooden feet which I soon found out were not even wood. Obviously it must save them a lot of money to make the legs out of a white plaster/ chalk like substance and paint it to look like wood and most people won't find out till they hit it with the vacuum cleaner and a chunk falls off leaving a white gouge. This was annoying but after a few more months we started to get cracks in the leather and it started to peel, fair enough i thought I've obviously not looked after it properly but then on looking at what was underneath...

My daughter loves this chair.

Advantages: Great Product. Lively, fun.
Disadvantages: Putting it together

...I bought this chair for my daughter Christmas 2008 who was 18 months old at the time and she absolutely loves it. It's safe, brightly coloured with music and flashing lights, what more can a toddler ask for? Inside the box You'll find the assembly instructions, they are a little vague just pictures with numbers and arrows, but they do the required job. There is also the chair, in 8 pieces, granted 4 of those are the feet. Assembly In all i would say it would take 10/15 minutes to put together. Unless your me who decided not to read the instructions and take my chance to click it all into place in the wrong order, therefore spending an hour on Christmas Eve pulling at it to try and undo it again, failing to do so and unscrewing parts, to start all over again. But then if was easy to take apart it...

I bought mine when my baby was 6 months old complete with the baby kit for around £125.00. It was simple to assemble and feels very sturdy and stable. Alex was comfortable in it from to word go, and it blends in well with the rest of our furniture. It is available in a large range of wood finishes to blend in with any decor. Review of The Devil's Chair (DVD)

The binding chair... not a bind to read at all.

Advantages: An incite into an unknown world.
Disadvantages: Sometimes a little uncomfortable to read.

...On one of my many, many trips to my local library I was thrilled to discover that there was another book sale, unfortunately the books on sale were not of the usual reading material that I go for, hence the review I will now write. The book I will now review is ? The binding chair by Kathryn Harrison? As I stated earlier this is not the sort of book I would normally go for, more of a semi fictional history book this only appealed in the fact that it was A, on sale for 20p, and B, I liked the cover! (Sorry I am so shallow!). The cover doesn?t really give much indication as to what the book is about, aside from the fact that the binding chair in question is the piece of apparatus that Chinese girls sat in to have there feet bound. Not being that knowledgeable on the subject of Chinese history or the barbaric traditions behind...

Anyway here goes, I went to Land Of Leather on Boxing Day - they were extremely busy (seems a lot of other people got sucked in by Land of Leather?s ?great offers? on the TV).
