...When my son asked for an MP3 player so that he could take it to school for art, my first thought was no way because they are to expensive for someone to pinch. We were in Tesco and noticed this product for only £15, so I took a closer look. It is a small mp3 player which is good, because you can hide it well, especially when outside, it comes with 4 different face covers and does not take batteries, so yes I bought it, on the understanding that we will see how he takes care of this one and then we will by him a better if he does take care of it. ...I was given this player to keep me occupied on my many long bus and train journeys. THE PLAYER This is a Japanese mp3 and CD player, which comes in a silver and blue top with a grey base. It is 13cmx13cmx2½cm which is about average size, so its more bag sized than pocket sized. It comes with an adapter and ear bud type headphones. It only has a small display area, so only displays limited information on it, such as which track and album or how long the song has been playing for. There are also little icons to display what modes you have it on, which are discussed later. The buttons are fairly small, so not fab it you are fumbling about in the dark or going under a tunnel, or if you have any arthritic type problems that makes it difficult to press small buttons. Review of Panasonic CD / MP3 player

The Godfather of all MP3 players

Advantages: Great sound quality, and amazing battery life. Not bad price either.
Disadvantages: Nothing really.

...I've had this iPod for about 6 months now as my old ipod mini broke after having it for at least 3 years. I think this iPod is the best so far. The sound quality is amazng and the battery life is much longer than ever before, i may sound a little bias, but i really do love this iPod! The battery will last for up to a week and thats with me listening to it for at least 3 hours a day, plus watching the occasional movie. The memory is also huuuuge on this one. Not as big as its boss, the 160Gb one, but still extremely large. I have over 20 movies on it and over 5,000 songs. For me, its the best MP3 player on the market by a country mile. Not at a bad price either, even though it is a lot higher than other MP3 players on the market, but this is probably because it is the best one out there! The price is a lot better than the nano...

MP3 Player MP-906, Cheap and Cheerful

Advantages: Cheap! small, user friendly, no-one will ever want to steal it and you can replace cheaply if it breaks!
Disadvantages: No locking device, non standard headphones, obviously not hi-tech!

...it in case anyone was stuck wondering why it didn't work. ~~Music Quality~~ I have to say I'm not fussy about these things so can't give you an in depth analysis. I could hear the songs fine and there was no hissing or background noise. ~~Disadvantages~~ Now I don't mean to be fussy, obviously this is probably the cheapest MP3 player you will ever buy, but I do have a couple of quibbles. ~Locking~ I came to throw my new player in my bag as per usual and realized there is no way of locking it. As I tend to carry mine round with me all day I am used to locking it so that if you accidentally press the buttons it won't switch on. The Technika has no way of doing this so I have to make sure I don't knock the off button while I'm listening to it and then find somewhere safe to put it when I'm not using it. Stunning little 256mb MP3 player for under £5

...I have been debating whether to splash out on an mp3 player for quite some time now but always seemed to have something else to spend the money on so had not purchased one until now. While picking up some essentials I spotted the Technika MP-906 mp3 player which Tesco are currently retailing for £4.97 and so decided that at under £5 what the hell. I have to say it is probably the best £5 I have ever spent. For this price you don't expect much and so I was expecting a lightweight flimsy feeling piece of kit, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The first thing you notice when you remove the player from the packaging is the quality feel of the player. Not the flimsy plastic I was expecting but a solid plastic with a soft rubbery texture that is incredibly comfortable to hold. The styling of the player is very smooth...

Best mp3 player I've ever had

Advantages: Sleek, useable, high quality sound / pictur, good battery life
Disadvantages: scratches easily, cannot use songs from programs like napster

...I got my ipod classic in december and have to say it's the best mp3 player I've had. I like many owners of the classic have not filled it with music, I have less than 20gb on it, however it's good to have the space when you don't have to pay that much extra for it. Video play is very clear, sound quality is excellent (previous problem with low volume is now gone) and if you have ever used an ipod before you will already be used to the click wheel. The only problems are that the metallic back scratches easily so it needs a case really and that you can't put napster songs onto it. The battery life is fantastic when listening to music, I can go without charging mine for around a week with regular use. The battery doesn't fare quite as well with video but tthat would be a problem for any player. Overall great quality, nice design...

Belkin Folio Ipod Nano White Case

Advantages: Clean, Tough, Looks very well built
Disadvantages: Expensive, have to remove to charge, slightly gets in the way of the hold button

...When I purchased my Ipod nano, I have heard plenty about how easily they are damaged so I made sure along side its purchase I ordered a case. I chose this on because it was a Belkin case which I like that brand. It also was white to match the Ipod and it also looked quite appealing to me for my tastes. Unfortunately the case was quite expensive coming in at about 15 pounds from the apple website but at least I was pleased to se it came with a "free/something to make it seem like your money was well spent" screen protector. The protector itself is a little film of plastic that is non-adhesive so it does not stick to your screen for easy removal. The case is made of nice looking quality leather. It is stitched so it's not just cheaply glued together. The inside is very soft and smooth so it is not to scratch the delicate mirror...

CD/MP3 player of kings

Advantages: MP3 playback and long battery life
Disadvantages: The random function doesn't work properly

...Whenever I?ve had to choose a CD player like this, for me or for a present, the first thing I look at is the battery time. This is what first led me to this player, it advertises 30+ hours of CD playback and 48 hours of mp3 playback (these are for non-stop playback, with no skipping. Using the skip a lot will reduce battery time and giving it resting time between playbacks increases battery time.) Those numbers seemed pretty amazing to me from just 2AA batteries. So I bought it.... The round shape looks great and I can?t see how a CD player could get much smaller. It feels very well built, and it takes very big bumps (unusually big) to get it to skip. The remote control is useful for whenever you are carrying it around in your pocket or a bag and don?t want to have to reach into your pocket and fumble around for the buttons...
