...As some of you may know i have recently moved house and i have purchased my leather suite from the land of leather, i just had to write a review on the level of service i recieved and the quality of the suite itself. So it was the beginning of April and some of you may recall an advertisement being on television for the land of leather a range of special deals for one day only. So as i was interested in buying a new suite i took a drive to my nearest land of leather to view the suites which where part of this special twelve hour spectacular. The showroom had a magnificient range of leather and material sofas and chairs in many shapes and sizes at quite reasonable prices as other furniture showrooms i had been to before had been expensive. ...I purchased a sofa from this store earlier this year and was a little shocked when the salesman told me they'd try and have it delived in 6 weeks (Before buying I was expecting the 12 week standard) So I wasn't too disappointed when it took 12 weeks to be delivered, although I'm still not sure it would have been delivered at all if I hadn't rung them the week before delivery and asked when it was coming. The after sales service this company offers is appalling, the sofa when delivered was badly scratched in a couple of places and also missing 2 cushions, I rung the customer services and was told they'd send someone round to look at the scratches but there couldn't do nothing about the missing cushions - for this I would need to ring the store where I purchased the sofa. ...in stock a refund was not possible (told you I smelt a fish), even though I stressed this was not my fault. He did not offer me an apology, no compensation and did not acknowledge my letter of complaint. I then asked to speak with the area manager, he said he will ask him to give me a call and guess what; you got it - a week later I?m still waiting. As you can see the customer service you will receive from Land Of Leather is second to none, my advise - why give them the opportunity? Take your custom elsewhere, maybe a small firm where they will value your custom much more than these large firms to whom you?re just another figure. Not Real Leather

Advantages: None at all
Disadvantages: You can't be sure of what you're getting and the quality is dredfull!

...Having purchased a suite (2 x 2 seater + 1 chair) that was supposed to be leather I awaited delivery which was on the day specified and was quick and efficient which I know isn't everybody's experience. The suite looked Ok if not a little cheap. The first sign of things being not as they seem were the supposed wooden feet which I soon found out were not even wood. Obviously it must save them a lot of money to make the legs out of a white plaster/ chalk like substance and paint it to look like wood and most people won't find out till they hit it with the vacuum cleaner and a chunk falls off leaving a white gouge. This was annoying but after a few more months we started to get cracks in the leather and it started to peel, fair enough i thought I've obviously not looked after it properly but then on looking at what was underneath...

Land of Leather excelled in my opinion.

Advantages: Very fast service and simple process.
Disadvantages: None with this sale.

...and comfy and reclines so am very happy indeed. My only negative was a large sachet of silica gel was left down the side of the sofa which thankfully i found as my little one could have played with it and eaten the contents which would not have been very good as i believe it is dangerous to eat but it was just overlooked but others might want to check if you have little children or animals. CONCLUSION So don't be put off by all the negatives comments of others on here as some of us have had great service as i have and are very pleased with the land of leather, Also from buying saturday evening to delivery wednesday morning . Brilliant!...

...I purchased a 3 2 sofa deal from Land of Leather Belfast on 30th Dec. 07. I had spent the whole Sunday afternoon wandering around various Belfast furniture shops with my mother while she found something she wanted. Eventually we returned back to Land of Leather as my mother had eventually made up her mind and went back to one of the first sofas she seen - it was in stock and her other choice had a delivery time of 12-14 weeks. (typical woman, but that is another story !) I duly paid the assistant and rather than pay £69 delivery said that I would arrange collection myself and was given the warehouse number to ring to arrange a suitable time. Land of Leather is land of bureaucratic service

Advantages: may be cheaper than others
Disadvantages: late deliveries, do not answer the phone, no coordination between them

My wife and I chose these sofas among all other sofas we liked specifically because their staff told us they would be delivered by the 20th Sep 07, unlike other sofas, as we were going to have a celebration on the 23rd Sep 07. We insisted on their commitment to delivery by that date before buying the sofas and their staff made it clear it would be delivered on time if not earlier, saying that the item was available in Norfolk waiting to be delivered. ...I perchased a 3, 2 and 1 seater from land of leather in october. We paid in full, so didnt take the credit option. We were told that the sofas would arive in two weeks. After two weeks we didnt hear anything so we phoned LOL and were told that it was in the warehouse and we would get a call in the next two days. Well, we didnt. So we rang them and they said there was a problem with our order and it had been sent back to the london warehouse. They then said we would get a call in a week. Well to be fair, we got the call on a saturday and our sofas turned up on the following wednesday. The delivery guys were friendly and checked the sofas over before placing them were i wanted. We paid £70 for delivery in cash to the driver which was a bit steep, but they tell you this when you buy the sofas. Well, after two months ive had no problems...

In 2001 they reformed and started playing various European festivals, this was shortly followed by a 3 album deal with Burning Heart Records / Epitaph. This Scandinavian Leather is the first album to be released under that new deal and what a corker of an album it is. Land of Leather - should be land of Half PVC

Advantages: I liked the suite
Disadvantages: 50% leather 50% Vinyl, Warranty only covers leather parts

...How would you feel if you had a problem with your new leather suite and when a repairman came out told you is is only around 50% leather, and the rest is PVC? I was pretty disgusted, but by then had the suite for a few months and it was too late to do anything about it. Apparently "Leather Match" is a Land of Leather code for PVC and not as the salesman had told me when I enquired a method of matching the colour on all the pieces of leather to ensure there is no colour variance. Worse was to come. When the suite was 17 months old, we noticed splitting at the seams on the inner edges of the 2 backrests on the 2 seater sofa, and also on one footrest. I had purchased a warranty that the salesman had said would cover anything from faults to accidental damage, so called out the insurance company to fix the problem. I am still in shock after...
