Ledra beach is brilliant!!

Advantages: brilliant staff and hotel facilities you can even use the 5* hotel next door.
Disadvantages: none

...I absolutly loved my holiday to Ledra beach hotel in paphos, with it being just outside the busy centre nearer to Coral Bay there is so much at your finger tips. WHAT TO SEE: there is plenty to see indluding the Tomb of the Kings, There are 2 water parks both ranging from around 20 Euro's each but both incredably exciting. Coral Bay in itself is a perfect sight to see in Paphos. If you want a night out then all you have to do is take a bus to Coral bay and then walk to bar street which will take you about 10minutes all in all. There is a long street with bars upon bars and everything you need for the perfect night out! There is also a lovely cocktail bar accross the road from the hotel where you could start your night off. If you fancy a change from the hotel food there is in Coral bay again just a bus ride away a range...

On the beach, value for money hotel

Advantages: Location, service, food

...If you are looking for a relaxed holiday with not too many frills then the Ledra Beach is for you. Its a friendly and inviting hotel with excellent food I have to say.....probably one of the best advantages of this hotel. The accommodation is a little tired but nontheless comfortable and clean. An animation team keep you entertained day and night with a few outside acts a couple of times a week. Aqua aerobics, childrens games, quizzes keep you occupied through the day. We booked an all inclusive holiday and we had no complaints whatsover with the choice, variety and quality of food, it has to be one of the best menus on the island in any hotel! For breakfast you can choose to have a British fry up, healthy cereals and yogurts, fresh fruits or a more continental style breakfast of fresh cheeses, hams etc. Juices, coffee...

Phaethon- Great for younger familes

Advantages: Family Friendly- All Inclusive, Friendly Helpfull Staff
Disadvantages: Beachfront, location & very kiddylike

...not ideal if you want to be in the centre, it's the furthest hotel along the beach road in from the airport end- it means you'll probably be dropped off first from the airport but walking into town with small children is probably not a great idea- a taxi will cost around £4CYP or take the bus. The beach at the hotel isn't great and not suitable for building sand castles or paddling really, but the pool is fine. I think that as a family, we have sadly outgrown Phaethon, and have tried The Louis/Iberostar Ledra and the Louis Imperial- both excellent for older families/couples, but we would highly reccomend The Phaethon for a great holiday....

Lefkoşa - Nicosia's other half

Review of Nicosia (Lefkosia)

The Island Of Romance

Advantages: Good weather, lots to see and do
Disadvantages: Overpowering heat in high season

.... Temperatures here are considerably lower than in the coastal resorts. It is here that you can go skiing in winter. There are some small villages from which you can go hiking. This is the greenest area on the island. Make sure you stop at the beautiful Kykkos Monastery. If you're driving yourself, be prepared for the hairpin bends. Nicosia The capital is a typical city with lots of departmental stores. There are also a few museums and churches that are well worth visiting.
