...Spyro it seems has been around for a long time, Enter The Dragonfly on the PS2 seem to be wholly based on platforming, this game is different though. The developers really nailed the formula with this game with a perfect balance between an interesting story, platforming, action, good level design and simple but fun puzzles. They even have voice acting from such stars as Elijah Wood! The levels are huge as well as being well designed, where you can jump, glide, breathe fire and attack enemies. As well as standard melee attacks though, you also get four magic breath attacks (fire, earth, lightning, ice) which definitely adds to the depth and variety of the game, even if it's just being able to kill baddies in different ways. One negative I must mention though is that the save points can be rather sporadic, you can't save when you want...

...I never grew up playing on Spyro like some of my friends so when I saw this I decided to get it. I didn't really know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised but also slightly disappointed. ***The Storyline*** When the game is first loaded, the storyline begins with a video clip. The game begins inside a temple where a dragon called Ignitus is looking after an egg. The egg is very important because it is the Year of the Dragon, this is when, every 12 years, dragon eggs are bought to the temple. The prophecy says that every 10 generations a rare purple dragon will be born, Spyro, and will direct the fate of the era. This is the egg that Ignitus is keeping safe. A baddy called the Dark Master is at war with the dragons and knows of the prophecy. He sieges the temple to destroy the eggs but Ignitus espaces with the purple...

...I have always loved console games & one of the advantages of having 2 boys is i can play all their games. They have always liked the spyro games and have sort of grown up with them. So they really wanted this one. THE HISTORY -------------------- Spyro first appeared in 1988 for the PS 1 and were always viewed as kids game not really the most wanted. But a decent platform game that didn't require too much work. So now the makers have decided to give the whole concept a makeover and try to make it more appealing to a more wider audience. It seems to have a darker presentation and not so cute and fuzzy. They have also got big name stars to do the voices including Gary Oldman & Elija Wood. I have played all the previous Spyro games and found them to have addictive and absorbing role play. However this latest edition is a poor "button mashing, beat em-up" in comparison and is neither challenging nor compulsive. Morning Dance, Spyro Gyra

...This is an interesting CD, as it combines elements of world music including Caribbean rhythms and instruments, with some mighty pleasing cool jazz. The first tune on the CD, Morning Dance, really sets the tone for the entire CD. Morning Dance begins with some steel drums, and them coolly and calmly neatly slides into some cool jazz. The next track, Jubilee starts with some meaty jazz fusion guitar and then gets on down with some mean sounding horns. Sort of lounge music, if you happen to have a lounge filled with some of the hippest groovsters around. If you see what I mean. I doubt if it's possible not to dance to this track.
