...I loved the Lego Star Wars games so when it came to Lego Batman, something I love just as much as Star Wars, I wanted to grab it as quickly as possible. However, I do know my bit about Batman so my expectations were high when it came to the look and feel of the game. Luckily Travellers Tales have set the bar high and with the right amount of humour and clever game design, Lego Batman is a great game for anyone to play - even if they don't love Batman.
When I shoved the disc into my Xbox, I first noticed that the games theme is a lot darker than the previous. Where the previous games had been quite light-hearted, Gotham City is treated as a far darker place. This is not to say that that it is there isn't humour, it's just it's not as obvious as before. Also, the colours are made a lot more darker to complete Gotham's dark, gritty feel...

Review of Lego Batman (Xbox 360)
Advantages: Great learing and never goes out of fashion Disadvantages: can be expensive
...LegoLegoLego, I love it. When I was a child it was the only thing I would ever play with. I owned a big box of it and I would dissaper into my bedroom for hours making houses to play pretend, I would see how high I could build a tower up the wall, make cars and casltes. This never failed to amuse me.
my son has never been the building type so I never bought him any he would much prefer to be destructive. So when I met my current partner it was great his son loved lego it made it so much easier for me and him to relate to each other too we would spend hours building things and using our imagination.
Lego has come along since I was a little girl they now make real looking cars, star wars figures, Indian Jones and much more. This is one of the main presants that my step son has every year due to each year they bring out another...

Review of Lego
...I would just like to write a review on the benefits and/ or the downfalls of Lego, something that even at the age of 26 I do still enjoy playing with with my brother's four children - any comments, you will get a slap!
Lego are those small little bricks that no doubt will have played a part in the life of any child, at some point during their early lives. It is something that has been around for many years, as my two older brothers (being 36 and 38) both also used to play with it themselves along with their own friends - in fact, most of mine was hand downs from them!
There are many different bricks used in Lego, from rectangular bricks through to doors; windows; wheels, and even the bases on which to build your masterpieces on too have shown at the Tate Modern!
In my opinion, Lego is an excellent way of encouraging a child...

Review of Lego
...Stuck for a pressie to buy a child?
Why not buy some Lego/Duplo?
Lego has been around since I was a baby starting in a carpenters shop in Denmark. In 1949 plastic bricks were produced the forerunner of Lego and in 1954, (the year I was born) the name Lego was registered LEGO name derived from Danish Leg GOdt play well.
Lego has developed a lot from the simple sets when I was a child to magnificent sets enabling a child to build all his/her dreams.
Kits to build house, cars, farms, zoos, playgrounds, trains, roads, and many more. LEGO produces Duplo a building brick set for small fingers suitable for children 2 upwards.
These are bricks we use at work, finding them good to encourage manual dexterity fairly easy to put together. In good bright colours, and a variety of shapes and designs.
The next stage of smaller...

Review of Lego
Advantages: Game as well as building Disadvantages: price
...My granddaughter was happily playing with the Playmobil vets surgery one side of the living room. My grandson erecting and playing with the Ramses pyramid from Legogames, this was the scene Christmas day at my house.
The Ramses pyramid from Legogames was bought for about £20 by my daughter, it is available from for £19.99 at http://www.smythstoys.com it is £19.95 at http://www.johnlewis.com.
Lego say this is suitable for an eight year old I would say that's about right. My grandson is 7 ½ and could just about build and then play the game. It is getting easier for him the more he plays it.
This game is suitable for 2-4 players
First you build the structure then play the game.
The pyramid structure was not too difficult to build if you followed the instructions. I helped my grandson build some of the layers. The pyramid...
...Lego, at its most basic, consists of brightly coloured building blocks which snap together to form reasonably strong walls or other constructions. When I was a child, in the 1960s, there was not much more to it, and although I had a few pieces of Lego furniture, it didn't hold my interest for long. I can remember my brothers building cars and garages and playing all kinds of ingenious games, while I read books and thought of it as a 'boy' toy.
So when I had two sons of my own, I assumed they would play with Lego. Sure enough, they seemed to gravitate to it whenever they saw it, and by the time they were about three or four, were beginning to collect it themselves.
* Modern Lego sets *
Lego has changed enormously in the past 35 years. It's no longer merely coloured bricks with a few windows, doors and wheels; now it comes...

Review of Lego
Advantages: Good multiplayer, Good campaigns Disadvantages: Graphics, and its very hard and confusing
...This Lego Game for the DS involves as you can see from the front of the box, Characters from long past games, but now coming into Lego world and battling enemy's. The game is extremely funny, even more funnier as its in Lego version. There are six campaigns which I thought all were great, there are not as many on other games and versions. And also the multi-player I found it quite good as you can have up to 3 people battling and you can nearly chose every game play when doing download play.
This game really is challenging. Although its 7+ Pegi, it sure is very hard. Not only is this game to do with battles but also I have found out that it is also about using your brain, as there are some puzzles here and there which will need to be figured out to continue to battle on.
As I was talking about above about the six campaigns, there are...
Advantages: Good building toy Disadvantages: little pieces hurt when you stand on them :-{ ouch
...The Lego creator box 6161 is a great starter, or continuation box. At the Lego shop http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=6161 this toy costs £9.91. I suspect in the Amazon add they have got the wrong picture and number of the box with the price 19.99 the bigger box number 6166 costs 19.99p,
The Lego comes in a sturdy deep rectangular blue box with a lid.
I know from experience what an advantage it is to have a good sturdy box to keep Lego in. It keeps all the Lego together in one place. Keeps Lego away tidily.
The card boxes break fairly easily. Much easier to have a big tub for your child to put all the Lego pieces in. Remember do encorage your child to pick them all up they are painful to stand on with bare feet.
Lego is easy to clean just a wash in hot soapy water
Now in this blue creator Lego box is an assortment of 221...
Advantages: Good family entertainment, good graphics Disadvantages: Price varies depending on where purchased

The RRP is £34.99.
WHSmiths - £34.99
GAME - £29.99
Argos - £29.99
Zavvi (previously Virgin) - £25.00
HMV - £24.99
No doubt, going to different retailers, or by purchasing on the internet, you can get the same game for different prices, so it is worthwhile shopping around a bit to get the best price.
***AGE RANGE***
According to the manufacturers, it is suitable for 7+. I feel however, that due to some of the challenges, it may be better suited for the teenage market and above. The good thing is that it does not have the usual blood and gore which many video games seem to incorporate these days - after all, the characters are made of Lego.

Review of LEGO Batman (Wii)
Advantages: Fun gameplay, decent sound Disadvantages: Some nonsensical puzzles, Poor vehicle controls.
...Lego Batman is another entry into the Legogames developed by Traveller's Tales which started with the Lego Star Wars a few years ago. Unlike Lego SW or Lego Indiana Jones, this entry doesn't follow any particular movie instead being a unique story. Instead it comprises of two sets of three chapters. One for the heroes (Batman and Robin) and one for the Villians (Joker etc..). Each chapter has the same story for both sides, just told from a different perspective. The Hero side has 2 playable characters (Batman and Robin) with 2 optional characters. The Heroes can change suits to gain additional powers and solve the puzzles. In comparison the villians are more like the other Legogames, where the characters have a unique set of powers.
The gameplay is like the other Legogames and plays very similarly to those games. The controls...
