LEGOLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Advantages: Lego
Disadvantages: can be an expensive day out
...LEGOLAND!!!!!!!!!!!
That's all I heard on our hour drive to Windsor! We traded in our Tesco points for some Full Annual Passes. Couldn't be happier with that as I and my older son got in free, the baby was free and the only thing left was to pay for my other half. If any of you have been to Legoland before you will know that normal admission for a family our size is £102! That's £37 per adult and a child at £28. The passes we got through Tesco are brilliant. Normally it would cost £73 for an adult and £55 for a child to get these passes and yet it only cost me £18 worth of Tesco points each. I thought we were going to be given the Basic Annual passes but it's the next step up so we can get into the park for free all year round, and also jump the queue to get in which is a huge bonus.
Anyway back to our day out. We got to the park...

LEGOLAND Windsor
Advantages: The model village was good.
Disadvantages: Long Long Long Queues.
...We decided to take our three children (4, 2, & 7months) for a day out to Legoland. Not having any experience on what it was going to be like this is what we found.
Arrived just before 11am, queued for ages, but by using a compination of Airmiles and Nectar points, we were able to get in without paying a penny (saved around £60).
When we got inside there were people selling drink bottles, it was not until later in the day I found out that buy one of these and get free refills all day long, so later I paid the £5.00 for one of these bottles, and filled it up six or seven times - bargin?
We made the first mistake of the day, not knowing the park, and took the right hand path which took us down to the main park, if we had known we would of taken the left hand path which would of taken us past the model village and straight to Duplo...

Legoland Lemon
Advantages: Keeps The Kids Entertained, Miniland
Disadvantages: Cost, Cost, Little for Adults To Do, Cost, Queues, Staff Attitude
...Ever since I was a child I've always wanted to visit Legland in Denmark. I'd heard it was an amazing place with rides and Lego constructions of a size and detail you wouldn't believe.
So when the British version, Legoland Windsor, opened some years back now I made a mental note that it would be a great place to go and then promptly forgot about it.
This year, however, my wife made arrangements to meet with an old friend she'd not seen for almost eight years and the chosen venue was Legoland Windsor. That friend would take her kids along, we'd take ours, the children could play we could catch up with each other and a good day could be had by all.
So when September 1st rolled around I was, for once, more excited about the venue than the kids and raced them down the path to the car. Getting to Legoland isn't that difficult...

Legoland Windsor...Quick Day Trip Guide
Advantages: Lots to See and Do
Disadvantages: Expensive, Queues and short ride times
...Firsty I am going to keep the review to the main points.
This is just my opinion and we will all make our own minds up.
Trip early July 09
Legoland Windsor.
Cost:
Cons:
Well lets be honest its not cheap:
1 Day Adult Ticket (16-59 yrs) £33.30
1 Day Child Ticket (3-15 yrs) £25.20
1 Day Senior Ticket (60+ yrs) £25.20
So for a typical family of 4 its over £100.
Pros:
The upside is that they must know its expensive because you can find find reductions in the ticket price all over the place. we go ours from a box of Walkers Crisps. The average reduction reduces the price of each ticket by 50%, better but still expensive.
*Top tip: Look for discount vouchers, also available on Legoland web site*
Travel and Parking:
Pros:
Its easily found with good signage.
Cons:
Congestion the nearer you...

Legwork at Legoland
Advantages: QUITE A LOT FOR YOUNGER CHILDREN
Disadvantages: QUITE EXPENSIVE,AND FAIRLY SPREAD OUT
...,which even i enjoyed
and FINALLY MINILAND...
Recreated from over 35million legobricks,is a recreation of various famous landmarks, like buckingham Palace/Mont Marche/airpots/Train stations/Dock,various places in France/Germany and other places too,(Cant remember)
My personal View on Legoland is
Its great for younger children, any child over the ages of 8 would find it quite boring i think
Its very expensive
Its very spread out,and you will struggle to do everything in one day
The upgradeing is a great idea
The food is yuk and very expensive
The queues are not very long(or havent been in the 5 times i have been)
I Live very local to legoland and have an annual pass,so tend to go in the afternoons and when the kids are at school...
I will renew my Annual pass for next year as My daughter has a great deal of enjoyment there...

Legoland - Advice for families.
Advantages: Variety of attractions.
Disadvantages: Near an Airport.
...I have recently gone to Legoland with my family. I think it is best if you stay overnight so you can stay in one of the many hotels such as the local Hilton and the Marriot. You basically need to stay the night before so you can make a full day out of it.
There is many buses that go to Legoland, they normally have got a picture of Legoland on the side. You can also take your car as there is several signs posting the direction to go. I advise you not to walk as there isn't a main walking path and is in the middle of a small wood and a main road.
The theme park is mainly aimed at children aimed 4 - 12.
Most of the rides are aimed at children but some can be enjoyable for adults such as the jungle coaster, longboat invader (new for 2008!) and the dragon coaster. There is also a live action show which can be very enjoyable and a 4...

Legoland Windsor
Advantages: Many different attractions which include unique sculptures made from LEGO
Disadvantages: A day is not really enough to explore the whole park.
...the areas above.
There is entertainment throughout the season in our show venues. Which are Imagination Centre, DUPLO Land and LEGO City. For daily show times, pick up a programme on arrival at the park.
Events for 2006
LEGOLAND Windsor is celebrating its 10th birthday in style with four fantastic new attractions when it opens on 25 March 2006. New additions include a stunning LEGO brick model display of London, a fantastic digger activity area, a thrilling 4D film and an awesome live-action show. There's also an outstanding special events programme packed with fun-filled activities to keep you coming back for more!
There quiet a few different shops at the Park including:
The LEGO Big Shop, this is the biggest shop out of them all selling LEGO and more LEGO, you can even see Haggard from the Harry Potter which is made entirely...

Legoland - The Cash Cow
Advantages: Nice Model Village, Some good rides for kids
Disadvantages: Expensive, outrageous food and drink prices, big queues, no in queue entertainment, dirty in places
...I have to say I have been to Legoland on a number of occasions now to give the place a fair review based on numerous visits, but so far I have to say I am a very disappointed person. I think that Legoland is extremely overpriced (considering we are 2 parents and 1 child) but still have to pay £32 per adult entrance even though there is no chance in hell that we both get to use them all. As a family of 3 with entrance, food and drink throughout the day (we deliberately did not take a picnic this time) and the necessary memento (a driving licence, a photo from a ride) you are looking at a combined spend of £120 for the day.
I will say that we have been fair in our approach visiting at different times of the year (twice in 2007) just to see whether our experiences have been a one off. No, they haven't. Don't get me wrong some things...

A small town in Germany?
Advantages: Compact, cultured, loads to do
Disadvantages: Limited "old town", some may find it lacking vitality
...Bonn was the capital of the former West Germany (or Bundesrepublik in German) between1949 and 1990. It is the nineteenth largest (according to Wikipedia) city in Germany which says much about why it was chosen to be the new capital following World War Two; Konrad Adenauer, the post-war chancellor of the Bundesrepublik, was a local lad and he pushed for Bonn to become capital over Frankfurt, a city which was in a much better position to take on the role. Frankfurt already had many suitable buildings and a good infrastructure but Bonn won the day in spite of the added costs involved.
Following World War Two, Germany was divided into four zones; this was done to satisfy the Allies who each had various claims on the territory and wished to protect their individual interests and the other reason was that it was believed that Germany needed...

A Legoland you can have on your PC...
Advantages: Quite fun, simple interface, lots of rides to build...
Disadvantages: ... antiquated graphics and sound, little challenge for adults...
...Legoland is basically Theme Park but with LEGO characters, and is presented in a simple way that makes it a good game for younger ones, though it makes it less interesting for adults. In an attempt to make things more interesting you also have a dotty professor who time travels and generally wreaks mayhem (grabbing new rides and ideas at the same time), and aliens who love theme parks and subsequently visit earth, usually taking most of your rides with them.
I've never been a huge fan of the theme park and spin-off games like Roller Coaster Tycoon style myself - though they are quite fun for a while, I tend to quickly get bored of them. If you are a fan of the genre, you will probably like this game more than I did - although you will also probably want more depth than this game, as it is after all aimed mainly at children.
Still...
