Leicester City - simple review

Advantages: Good defence, good manager, good stadium, good ambitions and money. Great fans.
Disadvantages: In the second division.

One of the impressive facts to do with Leicester City is that they are one of nine elite clubs never to drop out of the top two divisions of English football. Boring Boring Leicester City

Advantages: The players on the field
Disadvantages: They make you want to fall asleep

...Yawn yawn. Just saying the name makes me want to go to sleep. They do have some talented players amongst them and with Peter Taylor now in charge they should do well this season. If a few new signings including Trevor Benjamin and Gary Rowett they could do well in the domestic leagues as well. Hopefully they will not send their loyal fans to sleep now that Talyor is in charge and if they can start well they should be able to show that they do not need Emile Heskey. I predict that Leicester will finish in 10th place and get to League cup final once again....

Leicester City, Will they be Div 1 champions 2003

Advantages: Micky Adams and Muzzy Izzet
Disadvantages: We could go into adminstration

...A year on from the sacking of Peter Taylor and how things have changed. The continued poor performances under Harry Bassett and dreadful injuries saw Leicester relegated from the premiership, and Micky Adams appointed as boss. Most City fans were surprisingly cheerful considering all that had happened. (You just have to watch the season review video to get depressed all over again.) We had some great Academy kids who'd broken through and were shining lights in a dark season. We had a new manager who looked like he was going to be the new Martin O'Neill. We were back in a division we were strong enough to get straight back out of as we regrouped and got stronger for it. And we had a beautiful new stadium to move into. The new Filbo is already a fortress seeing crowds of over 30,000 (we'll say nothing about all those who said...

EXECUTIVE SEATS AT THE NEW LEICESTER GROUND

Advantages: nice comfy seats nice atmosphere
Disadvantages: not such a great game & the food at half time is not footie food

...DRESS CODE Everyone is a bit dressed up no shirts really smart jumpers with shirts underneath (snobs can never kick that squeaky clean image) & FINALLY THE MATCH LOL Well that was quite good but i think Leicester are fighting a losing battle not enough drive ! Seemed as if they where there to pass the time they need to get some decent young players in ! Hope you found my review informative i would tell you about my times in the box but i wouldnt want to make everyone too jealous. ~All round a good day~...

Leicester Hilton-a grand place to say

Advantages: nice modern hotel, not far from Leicester
Disadvantages: not the cheepest hotel, rediculously priced interne access

...We stayed at the Hilton hotel in Leicester as we fancied a night away from home. There was no particular reason for choosing this particular hotel, we just thought why not. The hotel is located three miles from Leicester city centre. It is just off junction 21of the M1. It is 25 minutes from Nottingham East Midlands Airport. Check in is from 3pm and checkout is 12pm. There is parking at the hotel, which costs £5 per night. In every room, there is internet access which costs £15 per night-way beyond expensive if you ask me!There is a business centre, with 10 meeting room, which can accomdate from 2 to 150 people. The hotel is 100% non smoking. There is on restaurat, one bar and a health club (its free to use for hotel guests) which also has a swimming pool. A double room will set you back £129 per night, which doesnt include...

Advantages: Lovely food and good prices in nice surroundings
Disadvantages: Not much of a special pudding menu

...There are only 3 places in the UK where I have had many restaurant meals, St Annes and Manchester where I grew up and now live, respectively, and Leicester where my sister has whiled away her undergrad, PhD and Rocket Scientist days. With Italian as my favourite fare it's not surprising that I have dined in most of the establishments of this kind in the 3 places, often several times, and Zizzi's is no exception. I like Leicester because it's that tiny bit smaller than Manchester - while I have to trek out of the centre to find a good selection of restaurants, and parks for that matter, my sister can literally be shopping one minute and dining the next, followed by a 10 minute walk across some greenery to home. ...The Ramada Harvis Hotel in Leicester (formerly The Grand) sits in the centre of the city, right in the middle of the main shopping high street. The hotel is approximately ten minutes? walk from the railway station and is close to many of the city centre bus services. I was brought to the city on business, at a call centre about fifteen minutes? away, but the hotel is well-placed for any visitor the city. The hotel offers limited, complementary parking but do check this when you book. As I was unfamiliar with the area, I asked a couple of local colleagues where the hotel was, and they referred to it only as The Grand. Bear this in mind if you are asking for directions, as the Ramada Jarvis name tag does not seem to have been adopted by the locals yet. ...It seems to me that Leicester City have gone all wobbly since Martin O'neil left. It is understandable that when a manager goes he wants to take some of his better players with him. It was a suprise that Neil Lennon decided to sign up again as I thought he was off up the road to Celtic. Still, at least he has got a couple that he wanted. I dont see the lure of Celtic though. They may be one of the top 2 in Scotland but the Premiership is where its at as far as British football goes. Im still undecided on Stan Colymore. I can see him being flat footed and useless with his hat trick just a fluke. They will be lucky to survive this season....

.... -> Shopping There are two main shopping centers in Leicester, the Haymarket and the Shires. The Haymarket is okay; it has a Tkmax, MVC and Woolworth’s. The Shires is bigger and better including many such as the Gadget Shop, Spencer’s, Boots, WHSmiths, many clothes shops, Virgin, Music Box etc . . . In the high street are the basic shops that comprise any city -> Marks and Sparks, Ann Summers, Our Price, Boots, WHSmiths, HMV and New Look to name but a few. Leicester is easy to walk around, there being 4 main roads to shop on. Leicester does hold a good number of alternative stores that offer more original but more expensive products. There was a great arcade called the silver arcade but unfortunately that has recently closed down. Outside of Leicester is Fosse Park which is a retail park, this offers a number of large...
