Location Dover Leisure Centre is located on Townwall Street in Dover which is pretty much on the seafront and within walking distance to the Port of Dover. It is also within walking distance of Dover town, Dover Priory Station and Pencester bus station. Facilities There are two swimming pools at Dover Leisure Centre. There is a main swimming pool which is 25 metres and also a learner / childrens pool. Keeping Fit at a Not So Leisurely Pace

We joined, my wife and I, on the ?Flexi? promotion. This is where you are only tied in for 3 months as opposed to the ?Full? 12 month tie in. Extras given include £15 to spend in their restaurants, 10% discounts in the bars and coffee shop and 2 free vouchers for friends/family. You get given specific lengths of time depending upon how many people are there. *Swimming* There is a lovely pool complex at the leisure park, and although we didn't go in as we had one at our site right next door, we did have a good look. It has both indoor and outdoor swimming areas so great for both kinds of weather with four water chutes and a lovely toddler/baby part of the pool so even the little ones are safe. Lifeguards could be seen around the pool area (outside was closed at the point of us being there as weather wasn't brilliant). After checking, it seems that except for the baby pool, all water is same depth of 4ft and is all heated. If outside is open there is a sun terrace with plenty of space to sit and sunbathe and there are no worries about...

.... Both the standard gym and the Tone Zone have a good range of equipment and the most popular items such as the rowing machines and the tread mills have three of each. The gym itself is not that large and thus the reason for opening up the Tone Zone (and closing down the bar that was once there). A session in the gym will cost a little over £5 but again this is free if a membership (£33) has been paid. Aerobic Classes... There are aerobic classes on everyday even on the weekends and these are included free in the Leisure Centre membership card or will cost £4.20p each. Most run for an hour although there are a few that are just a half hour blast. The class times and schedules vary and it is always best to pick up a timetable from the reception area. ...I am a frequent swimmer, which is great but in the borough of Lewisham can be difficult. The pools seem to over timetable themselves during the week so that obscure times are left for family or individual swimming, other times are filled with schools, lessons, ladies only, swimming clubs etc. The Bridge Leisure Centre is no exception to this and taking my two children swimming is a matter of checking the timetable daily and squeezing in an hour when the learner pool is free. Speaking of the learner pool it is of a good standard. One length of the pool is completely steps, which allow timid children to enter the pool with confidence and the water doesn't reach any more than 0.9m in depth. BEST HOTEL LEISURE CLUB IN AREA

Advantages: Brilliant unbeatable leisure club, clean and at reasonable cost

...I have been a member of the health club for 3 years now, and my review will be primarily about this. The hotel was built just over 3 years ago and is part of the De Vere Group. The leisure club is in the basement of the hotel...I say basement , it is actually on the ground floor, but the entrance to the hotel which you have to go through is on the level above, so you have to go up steps/ramp from the very large roomy carpark and them back down again. It did originally have a cafe copra, but this was shut and replaced by a second exercise studio, the ggod news is as of august 2008 they have opened a Starbucks which members get 20% discount at.The cost of membership is obviously different dependant on peak and off peak , there is not a family discount but you can attach children to membership for £10 a month, (7.50 at the Dudley branch...
