Advantages: Pretty much all the Kravitz tunes anyone really needs, intelligently sequenced

...Throughout his career - now into its third decade almost without anyone noticing the fact - Lenny Kravitz has been subjected to cries of "pretender", "plagirist" and "self-deluded rock icon". In fairness, the once-dreadlocked lothario has often played into the hands of critics with a string of serviceable and anthemic would-be-classic rock tunes that either draw inspiration from the greats such as Lennon and Hendrix, or mercilessly rip them off - depending on your point of view. This Greatest Hits release is not premature, despite appearances (just 15 tracks in all is comparatively short for such occasions). Kravitz is one of those acts most likely to benefit from a collection of his best-known moments, as all too often the hits and few and far between on the individual studio albums. Lenny is right.

Advantages: Clean, friendly staff, cost effective.
Disadvantages: None at all.

They actually seemed to like being there, really refreshing to see. ~~~~~Cost~~~~~ Slightly more expensive than Travelodge, worked out at £65 per room per night, but actually well worth it. the breakfast, as I have mentioned is £7.50 per person for as much as you can eat, kids under 15 eat free. I would rather pay £20 more for a room and have no complaints, so to me itwas very cost effective. ~~~~~Final thoughts~~~~~ I have to say, I will never, ever stay in a Travelodge again if there is a Premier Inn nearby, it was absolutely faultless, I am converted. The whole lenny henry advertising thing is well worth paying attention to. Well done Premier Inn....

For anyone out there who thinks that Dustin Hoffman is overrated or just another Method actor I would urge you to watch this film. It is also valuable for any Bill Hicks fans out there as well - they may have lived 30 years apart but the similarities in their lives are quite distinct. The film was also directed by Bob Fosse - if you only know of his work on Cabaret then this will be even more of an eye-opener. I have watched this film...

...Note to Ciao: what this is doing in the House, R&B, Soul and Rap section of music I don't know. There is about as much chance of Mr Kravitz fitting into this genre as there is of me becoming a Spurs supporter. Ho hum. Tra lee la lee la. Anway..... Brought this CD on impulse one day. Now my impulse buys are usually disastrous, cos I know what I like and I like what I know, but this happily turned out to be one of the better decisions. It is a collection of the singles and album cuts from Lenny Kravitz, an American singer-singwriter-musician who's big in the States but still mostly remembered over here for Are You Gonna Go My Way, a stonking hit single in 1993 and Fly Away, which reached no 1 with the help of a car ad (where have I heard that one before?) I personally don't know anyone who'd buy all his albums, but...

...funny little conversations I have with my three year old every day! I also love this book because it is so full of possibilities for little children. it is basically saying that when you grow up you can be anything and that is so exciting! This can then prompt discussions with your own child about what they would like to be when they grow up too. My daughter loves this book, because although she is only three she can join in with a lot of the story as there is a lot of repetitive language. She loves saying 'And then I'll come back and live with you!' This is an extremely well written story and to go with it there are lots of lovely illustrations.
