Lenovo
Advantages: Built in webcam. fingerprint recognition that works, good customer support.
Disadvantages: Slightly sluggish compared to some higher end machines.
...with the 80GB Hard Drive though. It seems to be accessing all the time and this does impact on performance. I have re-installed the laptop using the factory CD's, but still have the same problem. I am tempted to call Lenovo, but at the moment it just isn't bad enough to bother.
I use the laptop mainly for internet and word processing and photo editing etc. so have never installed any games on it. I rarely use it off the mains, so not sure about battery life. The weight of the laptop is fine and I like the fact that the hot air blows out of the side rather than underneath (keeps the lap cooler!).
Customer Service:
I didn't receive any rebuild CD's with the laptop (probably as it was sent by the Insurance company) so I called Lenovo support. They were really good. Without any issue they sent 7 CD's straight to my house, which arrived...

Lenovo IdeaPad review
Advantages: good performance
Disadvantages: somthing bad
...I have used an Lenovo IdeaPad for my favorite laptop which is used to blog my blogs.
when I was about looking for the new and good laptop to replace my old computer,I was surprised by its thin and light body and beautiful design ,and it costs about 500 pounds .
It is made by a big company which I love and trust,so there is no problem about hard ware .And the battery life seems lasting about 4 or 5 hours in normal situation,it depends on the energy mode. I should appreciate the new energy star options for its brillant function.
It has a very nice design for its users. As I know, when you buy this new stuff, you will see that It has loaded the Microsoft Office already in a trial period ,I personally think it take you about some time to observe the performance before you have to buy it,but at least you don't have to load the microsoft...

Energizer AA 2500 mAh Rechargeable Batteries
Advantages: Long Life
Disadvantages: Exspensive
...Hi today I will be reviewing Energizer AA 2500 mAh Rechargeable Batteries.
Price
You can buy these from Amazon for cheapest £7.05 I got them for £10 from B&Q and I got a charger as well.
Life
I recommend fully charging these for first time use. I put them on for a day. From the full charge I managed to get a week use out of them. I use them in my Xbox 360 Controllers which are used by me and my brothers so they were on for most of the week.
Charge
While using the official charger for this product it takes around 6 hours to charge fully (Overnight).
Size
I find that these batteries are a little larger than the usual AA batteries because in my Xbox controller when I first got them in they took quite a lot of force to get them out again. After using them for quite a lot it seems to have stretched the battery pack so it...

The Energizer Battery Charger
Advantages: Good value for money
Disadvantages: Takes a long time to charge batteries
...I had been intending to purchase a battery charger for quite a while. In fact I had even dropped hints to certain family members around Christmas time, but to no avail. I was recently reminded of this missing piece of equipment in my life when I rediscovered the PC lead to my digital camera. Remembering that a pair of standard batteries lasted for only about 30 photos in this camera I decided that it was certainly time to invest in a battery charger and some rechargeable batteries.
I purchased an Energizer CHDCW8 ? 4 battery charger from Argos for just £9.99. This decision was based on several factors, the most important of which was the price and what I considered to be the best value for money. The design also played a part in my decision process, but in the end it was the price/value that were the strongest influencing factors...

Lenovo T61 with Linux
Advantages: High quality notebook
Disadvantages: Higher price
...I tried new Lenovo T61 with configuration:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz
1GB RAM
nVidia Quadro 140M
100GB 7200RPM disc
14.1" wide screen 1440x900px
Webcamera, fingerprint reader
Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN
6 cell battery
New thinkpad is traditionally whole black. It is very well built as usual. Nothing screapes and the keyboard is nice acurrate.Titan-Magnesium
hardeness was improved by hardening back part of chassis. The only thing where is the influence of Lenovo on IBM shown are the connectors for reproductors and microphone.
They were placed in front of laptop what is not so handsome.
After few hours of initial testing i revealed a small bug - it is impossible to change the backlight intensity for the display.
I tried to run a Linux system so i have to write some hints:
The graphics card works well with the newest...

Lenovo Z61m
Advantages: Good for media work, WideScreen quality Graphics.
Disadvantages: Lenovo suck... totally.... This computer can only be used in air-conditioning.
...because of the heat problems. I find when not in my lap I have to "stand on its side" to allow the heat to radiate properly as it cannot be left on normal everyday surfaces in its normal position unless in air-conditioning, where it works quite well.
The microphone is very very poor .. veering on defective and recordings made are abysmal even when a good quality mike is plugged in.
The batteries on this range of computers were largely faulty however only a number were subject to a recall. I acquired my z61m from a batch-buy of these machines along with other colleagues. Amongst all of us only two have original batteries which are still operational. The Lenovo site's recall service is based on the serial number of the batteries. Although we all had the same computer (and presumably batteries) only some of us managed to avail...

Let the Sun save your battery
Advantages: Helps prevent flat batteries; achieves longer battery life
Disadvantages: None
...As a student with an ageing car, my mileage was irregular and the car was often parked outside, so keeping the battery charged was a continual challenge. The car could be guaranteed not to start at the most awkward of moments. A trickle-charger was an essential piece of equipment but even it was of no use if I couldn?t find anywhere to plug it in within reach of where I could park the car safely. Removing the battery was a cumbersome alternative. I became adept at using jump leads too but there were times I wished I didn?t have to. I wish someone had thought of the solar-powered battery saver at that time.
Nowadays my battery is more likely to run down through all the so-called ?key-off electronic drains? (radios, clocks, alarms and use of other devices that work through the cigar lighter), or through doing too many short...

360 Rechargeable Battery
Advantages: battery life
Disadvantages: cost
...Here it is, the solution to the hassle of constantly swapping out batteries from the xbox 360 controller's battery pack. This product will definitely save you money as you'll be spending much less on AA batteries especially if you play your 360 a lot. This battery pack however is absolutely useless without the recharging chord or recharging dock. The rechargeable battery pack is very convenient but if you're playing with the controller while it's recharging the controller becomes a wired controller for a couple hours which is not necessarily a bad thing. Also I feel the price for this product is a little steep but I guess it does save you money in the long run. The batteries do last for a long time and I rarely recharge my batteries. This product is a must buy for hardcore 360 owners but for the casual gamer who only plays every...

WIRELESS BATTERY PACKS!!!
Advantages: WILL SAVE YOU MONEY!!!
Disadvantages: COST!!!
...built into the controller. So microsoft came up with the idea of... NUCLEAR POWER CONTROLLERS. But then they probably realised this would be to dangerous and powerful so they just settled for double "A" batterys.
: )
The batterys will last for around 12 - 20 continuous hours depending on the type you use, but changing batterys almost every day gets very annoying, and expensive. If you have rechargable batterys you will save money instead of always throwing batterys way but why wait for batterys to recharge?
Microsoft then came up with the idea of the battery pack. On a full charge it will last around 24 hours of gaming and can be on charge while in use! It will add a small amound of extra weight to the controller but not so that you would notice. This is all good! you can now have a charging pack so you no longer need to buy batterys...

Lenovo 3000 N100 - Core Duo T2400 1.83 GHz
Advantages: High Spec, Powerful, Comfortable to use, System management
Disadvantages: Small touch pad, poor mouse buttons, poor sound from speakers
...uses Mysql and php and I'm passing large quantities of data across networks to try and break the site I'm working on. The laptop is handling large volumes of wifi traffic fine with no loss of data yet.
While I work i do listen to music and I've not noticed any problems with the playback when running memory and CPU intense applications such as virus scanning software.
Most of the time I'm working from mains power but working from the battery, doing the type of work I've just explained gives about 90 mins. On the train into work I get more than enough power for the 40 minute journey.
I would recomend Lenovo to anyone looking to buy a new laptop, although it is worth running comparisons as i'm not up in the world of competition....
