Lenovo
Advantages: Built in webcam. fingerprint recognition that works, good customer support.
Disadvantages: Slightly sluggish compared to some higher end machines.
...I own a Lenovo 3000 N100 and use it daily for personal use. I also use a Dell Latitude D620 for work, but I will try not to compare them too much to each other in this review.
I acquired the Lenovo after my previous Laptop (a Medion) died and couldn't be resurrected by the Insurance company - so I didn't actually go out and buy this one specifically. In actual fact, it is much better than my Medion, although this may be due to the passage of time and better technology.
Technical Bits:
The laptop has a Core Duo processor (I think mine is 1.7Ghz not 1.83 as listed in the header). It has 512MB RAM, a DVD writer, fingerprint recognition and a nifty web cam in the lid. It has built in Wifi which works well. It has 4 USB ports, although annoyingly these are on the side - I prefer them at the back (especially fr the mouse). It also...

Sony Playstation 2 - Slimline : 'Gaming Giant'
Advantages: Sleek design I no fan : much quieter I No power back switch I Affordable I Wide range of games I
Disadvantages: The lid where you put the games could be stronger
...The Playstation 2 has sold in excess of over 100 million consoles since it was released back in 2000. When orginally released the Playstation 2 was much larger in size than the slimline version which Sony released in 2004. I am going to look into what are the benefits of the new system and look at the good and bad features.
Good Features
The Slimline Playstation 2 is much quieter than the original console because it simply looks much better, the slim design is better on the eye and also it is less noisy as the console does not have a fan. Instead it uses air vents to keep the console cool. It does the job to be honest because I owned the console for over 2 years and it has never crashed or overheated.
The load times of the new console seems to me a little quicker than the original console. This is a main plus factor because you want...

Extremely Over Priced PC
Advantages: The case dosn't look too bad
Disadvantages: Addequate but outdated CPU
...significantly lower than Lenovo is 3Ghz upwards. Quite how the ThinkCentre A55 hopes to even try to compete with other manufacturers offering 3-4Ghz CPU's with a price tag of around £50 less is somewhat of a mystery. Having said that, as my mate has proven with flying colours.."there is one born every minute"
The memory installed is on a par with most budget PC's and is supplied with 512Mb DDR II SDRAM. Thankfully memory these days is a relatively cheap upgrade option.
The hard drive installed again is somewhat below acceptable for the price tag. The A55 is supplied with an 80Gb hard drive. Although this size of drive is acceptable, for £400 you would expect something around 100 -120Gb in size.
The graphics card is on-board as is the norm with all budget PC's. The graphics memory is shared with the PC's RAM and is adjustable via the PC...

PS/2 Slimline a real tonic from Sony
Advantages: small and sexy
Disadvantages: is it a fragile kitten
...I should start by saying that I am not part of the PlayStation generation, I'm 44 and my first introduction to gaming outside of arcades was awarded to me as the result of an on line competition when I won a good old PSOne (yes, people do win those draws), that was about 7 or 8 years ago I guess.
About 5 years ago I upgraded to the original PS/2 and have enjoyed many late nights / early mornings gaming on that till about 8 months ago when it gave up the ghost. With the launch of PS/3 'imminent' I thought I could wait for that - but Oh No it gets delayed and delayed again and my patience runs out. So a couple of weeks ago I find myself on Amazon making an impulse buy of the new slimline PS/2.
What a FANTASTIC little piece of kit, Sony have done wonders in reducing size and weight, primarily it must be said by making the power...

PlayStation2 Slimline
Advantages: Smaller, Lighter, Quieter
Disadvantages: Flimsy Disk Flap
...I am sure you can tell from the name of this product, Sony PlayStation2 Slimline, that this product is alot smaller in size and shape to its bidder brother, The Sony Playstation2. This new design was released in September 2004 and overall, it is much prefered to its previous because of its weight, size, sound and mobility.
In my opinion, the slimline model is much more attractive than the origonal one because it is so much smaller. The thickness of this product has been reduced to under 3cm which is almost one third the thickness of the older version. As a result, the PlayStation2 Slimline looks much more compact and in my view, the smaller the better.
Furthermore, not only has the size of the product been reduced, but also te weight too, which again, adds to the appeal of the product. Overall the slimline version has lost half...

Lenovo IdeaPad review
Advantages: good performance
Disadvantages: somthing bad
...I have used an Lenovo IdeaPad for my favorite laptop which is used to blog my blogs.
when I was about looking for the new and good laptop to replace my old computer,I was surprised by its thin and light body and beautiful design ,and it costs about 500 pounds .
It is made by a big company which I love and trust,so there is no problem about hard ware .And the battery life seems lasting about 4 or 5 hours in normal situation,it depends on the energy mode. I should appreciate the new energy star options for its brillant function.
It has a very nice design for its users. As I know, when you buy this new stuff, you will see that It has loaded the Microsoft Office already in a trial period ,I personally think it take you about some time to observe the performance before you have to buy it,but at least you don't have to load the microsoft...

Slimline broke. Where's tha' Old One?
Advantages: Faster processing speed, Much Smaller.
Disadvantages: Mine doesn't play duel-layer DVD, remanufactured models broke down 4 times. My 5th is okay.
...Experience?
A very, very poor, dissapointing experience.
Yes, the graphics are good, yes there are a lot of things better than the original PS2 about the system in general... but here's where my experience went from bad, to worse.
1st slimline - I contacted sony. It wouldn't play 'silver' backed disks.
Sony Sent me a re-manufactured PS2 Slimline.
2nd slimline - Contacted sony. Wouldn't play 'purple/blue' backed disks.
3rd Slimline - Contacted Sony... ... ... ...
... ... ... Problem after problem. Until I reached my:
5th Slimline: Works just like how I wanted the first one to.
I wondered if it was overheating, and not intended for young people with no friends or social lives. One or two out of the five lasted a total of 2 weeks...
The fifth and final slimline that I still own now is good. Just doesn't play duel...

THINK REALLY
Advantages: very good processor with unique vast features.
Disadvantages: the flat screen looks too fragile.
...Well I have to come with the review of PC computer. Lenevo think center is a brand of computer that never made waves in the computer market. But I decided to give it a try by buying it and wanted to get rid of the popular dell, IBM and apple computers for some time.
Well the lenovo think center computer has proved to be a bit different. Some features actually made me to purchase the product and are features like the administrator password, power on password, booting without mouse and key board, hard drive I/O control, usb control, serial port I/O control, boss Sequence control and diskette I/O control. These are the features that really made me to splash at about £250.60 on it.
The lenovo thinkcentre A55 9265 Pentium D 915 2.8 GHz computer has host of unique think vantage technologies at competitive price.
The processor...

Lenovo T61 with Linux
Advantages: High quality notebook
Disadvantages: Higher price
...I tried new Lenovo T61 with configuration:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz
1GB RAM
nVidia Quadro 140M
100GB 7200RPM disc
14.1" wide screen 1440x900px
Webcamera, fingerprint reader
Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN
6 cell battery
New thinkpad is traditionally whole black. It is very well built as usual. Nothing screapes and the keyboard is nice acurrate.Titan-Magnesium
hardeness was improved by hardening back part of chassis. The only thing where is the influence of Lenovo on IBM shown are the connectors for reproductors and microphone.
They were placed in front of laptop what is not so handsome.
After few hours of initial testing i revealed a small bug - it is impossible to change the backlight intensity for the display.
I tried to run a Linux system so i have to write some hints:
The graphics card works well with the newest...
