...found harddrive space no problem at all- I store music and work and photos on it, but very few and short videos, and haven't installed many games. The 512Mb RAM is possibly a little low- Lenovo automatically install software that regularly reminds you to back up your hard drive and defragment, etc- which is good, as it means you are more likely to do so, which is good for your machine, however bad as it obviously slows down the machine further. At startup, therefore, the machine is rather slow, however speeds up once everything has registered and the computer has sorted itself out. Another useful thing with this laptop is a little light that you can switch on so that you can see your keyboard in the dark, if that is something you would need. As with all laptops, this one has it's own allocation of function keys on the keyboard...

The Legend of Thinkpad

Advantages: Build Quility, Thinkpad Features, Good Performance.
Disadvantages: Not flashy, slightly heavy/bulky

...audio/video libraries should perhaps look at an external hard drive. Portability- This laptop weighs around 3kg, which is heavy, but not too bad. Buyers looking for a laptop to take travelling should look at the 14" models. Extra features- This laptop came preinstalled with Lenovo's superb 'ThinkVantage' suite of programs which includes backup facilities and programs to configure connectivity options. Great stuff. Oh, and it has a keyboard light, which I am using now. For £399, I think this represents the best entry level notebook on the market. Grab one while you can....

Think Thinkpad

Advantages: Speedy, Robust, Good graphics card, Connectivity

...INTRODUCTION I bought myself a used IBM / Lenovo Thinkpad T41 for £129 and although it's a pretty old machine (probably from 2004) and fairly low spec by today's standards, I still feel it was a bargain. ...Personally, I have had a great experience with this laptop. I will start with the bad, which is only a few things, and then end with the good, which is LOADS of things. First of all, the looks, like all IBM ThinkPad's, it looks hideous, or that is what I think. It is black, and has this weird, dull material on the back, which makes it look very old, like a spectrum from 10 years ago. It has this HUGE battery at the back, which makes it look horrible, if you remove the battery looks much better. When you look at it, it does seem as if it is from the 90s, and I personally think that is partly down to the IBM logo, which looks old, and reminds you of the time where computers were merely command lines, and the only thing that came out of the speakers, were beeps. Lenovo R61I is amazing!

Advantages: This comes with bluetooth, 1GB per sec. wifi card, and cd dvd r&rw drive.

...I own a Lenovo 3000 N100 and use it daily for personal use. I also use a Dell Latitude D620 for work, but I will try not to compare them too much to each other in this review. I acquired the Lenovo after my previous Laptop (a Medion) died and couldn't be resurrected by the Insurance company - so I didn't actually go out and buy this one specifically. In actual fact, it is much better than my Medion, although this may be due to the passage of time and better technology.
