...When I wore monthly contact lenses I had lots of these cases around the house and in various different handbags. There was nothing worse than needing to take out your lenses after a long day and not having a case to put them in meaning you either had to throw them away, not a great option if they were a new pair, or you had to keep them in with your eyes getting increasingly drier and sorer.  I have different prescriptions in my eyes, one is a bit stronger than the other so the thing I loved about these cases is that they had left and right marked on the caps so when you took out your right eye you could put it in the right case and vice versa, then you never had to worry that you had the wrong lens in the wrong eye.  According to the information on these lens cases they are specially designed lens case for gas permeable (GP) contact...

Review of Bausch & Lomb Lens Case

Bausch and Lomb lens case.

Advantages: Simple design, slimline, affordable.
Disadvantages: Can be fiddly to access lenses, not a hygenic way to store lenses.

...Lens cases are ideal for those with weekly or monthly disposable contact lenses, but I am now a wearer of daily disposables and glasses. I find dailies to be much more hygenic, but the main reason for my use of them is that I don't wear them often. I have used weekly and monthly lenses in the past and my use of the Bausch and Lomb Screw Top Lens Case was during this period of time. The Bausch and Lomb cases are quite slimline and more compact than the barrel style cases I have used in the past, but there are always positive and negative points with all products. Review of Bausch & Lomb Lens Case

Universal barrel contact lens case.

Advantages: Very well designed, ideal for storage and cleaning of lenses.
Disadvantages: Uses a lot of solution, must be replaced regularly to prevent contamination.

...When I first started using contact lenses I used dailies, I then switched to monthly lenses and now i am back using dailies again due to the infrequent use of lenses. I have finally made my mind up that I prefer wearing glasses out of convenience and I only occassionally wear contact lenses now, so dailies are what I currently use. When I did use monthly lenses the 'Universal Barrel Style Contact Lens Case' was an ideal piece of kit which allowed me to carry my monthly lenses around with me, without them becoming contaminated or unuseable. When I began getting monthly lenses I did receive a couple of free cases with them, but that was all. It is recommended that you change the cases regularly for cleanliness reasons and these particular cases can be bought for around £4 online which isn't unreasonable considering they are vital...
