Stops the scratches

Advantages: Protects your lens
Disadvantages: easy to lose

...A lens cap is important piece equipment if you want to keep your lens in good repair with no scratches or dirt or grime encrusted on it. The Cannon E77MM lens cap fits my husband's cannon 17-55 ultrasonic zoom lens on his cannon digi camera. . This lens cap came as standard on my husbands zoom lens when he bought it but can be bought separately. This 77mm lens cap cover will cost £5.99p from http://www.askdirect.co.uk/uview?call=ask.productBrowse&id=469&topcatid=19& make=Canon. If you go into a good camera shop they will probably have them in stock or be able to order one for you. You do not have to have a cannon camera lens for this lens cap this lens cap cover will fit other makes of lens too, as long as they are 77mm diameter. They do not need to be ultrasonic lens either. This lens cap came as standard on my husbands zoom...

* If the Cap Fits . .

Advantages: Can make your car look sporty - to you?
Disadvantages: Can look tacky.

...the fuel cap cover being reviewed here, is actually a stick on cover for the plastic flap that covers the fuel cap, the idea being it makes your car look like it is fitted with a quick release rascing type fuel filler. Personally I think the idea is a little dated, and most tend to lok cheap and nasty, but the choice is yours. You and you alone can decide what looks good on your pride and joy. Race X produce a catalogue, which is very good, and you will see over 300 items in there, including these stick on covers. Also stocked, are a lot more practical items, like locking wheel studs, and wiper blades. Naturally they stock the usual range of hi-performance induction kits, also known as cone filters. The company Race X, has a good history, and have been operating for quite a long time now, they are beginning to get a very...

Life Through A Lens

Advantages: Friendly Atmosphere
Disadvantages: Not A Tourist Destination

...I am sure very few people will have heard of this place let alone have been to it. Those amongst us who are fans of the game of football may have come across the name from previous encounters with Arsenal and from the Fifa 2002 World Cup. However, not only is it famed for its football club but it provides the region with numerous activities for those passionate Frenchmen who have grown up here. To me Lens is a town from which my background is held in part. My mother was born in its vicinity and it remains the home of my grandparents; thus it holds a magic which is close to my heart. I have no doubt left you dear reader wondering where this review is heading, well... it is about time that we got on with the show... Location and Transport Links (the boring stuff) Lens is located in the North of France, the Pas-de-Calais region...

Canon Lens

Advantages: Lightweight
Disadvantages: None

...This is a good quality lens that offers good value for money. It's a great lens for any canon enthusiast and incorporates plenty of features that I would highly recommend. This really is a wonderful piece of kit that should go well with many accessories because it really looks good. After using this product for a few months I have not so far come up against any reliability issues but only time will tell. I therefore would recommend the product. However, always think carefully as to whether you actually really need something before you buy it. We buy so many things nowadays that we don't really need. Product Features * Product Description: Canon EF telephoto zoom lens - 70 mm - 300 mm * Lens System: Telephoto zoom lens * Mounting Type: Canon EF * Lens Aperture: F/4.0-5.6 * Focal Length: 70 mm - 300 mm...

Cheap lens = cheap photos!

Advantages: Worst lens for a professional but good to start out with; cheap; easy to learn with;
Disadvantages: Worst lens for a pro, frontal element rotates,

...Must make this clear that it is the older version of 18-55mm before they upgraded it to fit the 450D and above. So 400D and below. When starting out in photography; most people get entry level camera body like 400D Canon EOS, this lens comes with the body to form the basic kit lens. As far as I know, you cannot purchase this lens officially with its boxes and such, you can buy one off Ebay for a reduced price of £50 or so without its boxes. Before purchasing the entire kit, you will have to realise that the lens will have to be replaced very soon as it does not perform as well as its counterparts such as Canon 24-105mm for example. So do not expect high quality photographs from this lens. The build quality is quite plastic-y and rather light, which made me uncomfortable with its seemingly fragility. The entire lens...

Nearly one 'L' of a lens

Advantages: Useful range. Fast f/2.8 aperture. Great IS. Superb image quality.
Disadvantages: Lens hood costs extra!

...Having owned and used a Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM zoom lens for around 15 months, I feel that I have some well balanced experience with it. Being an EF-S lens (the 'S' standing for 'Short' back-focus), it is designed for use ONLY with cameras having APS-C size sensors. Do not attempt to use one on a full-frame DSLR or 35mm SLR camera. Firstly, such lenses have a reduced image circle which will produce severe vignetting on large sensor cameras and secondly, the mount of the rear lens element could be struck by the camera's mirror, causing serious damage. On a Canon APS-C size DSLR, this 3.2x zoom provides a useful range of focal lengths from 27.2mm to 88mm with a maximum aperture of f/2.8 which is consistent throughout the zoom range. This fast aperture makes the lens eminently suitable for low-light work, particularly as it...

Robbie Williams' life thru a lens

Advantages: Some great tunes, including signature Angels
Disadvantages: One track doesn't fit, others are weak

...When Robbie Williams split from Take That following a disagreement in 1996 and he announced he would be starting a solo career, many were not sure. Gary Barlow had been the main driving vocal talent behind Take That. The other problem was the contract preventing him from releasing anything solo for a certain length of time after splitting from the rest of the band. This may have worked out to have been a good move, as Williams' first album, 'Life Thru A Lens', was a smash success, reaching the number 1 chart spot. The time between the split and when he released the album in 2007 may have been instrumental in the balance of the tracks on the album. The album features hits such as 'Angels', and 'Let Me Entertain You'. These are the tracks: 1. Lazy Days 2. Life Thru A Lens 3. Ego A Go Go 4. Angels 5. South Of The Border 6...

Kitsch Kit Lens

Advantages: Keeps the dust off the sensor!
Disadvantages: Poor quality. Poor build quality, Poor performance.

...I have both purchased and won several entry level Canon DSLR's, each of which have been furnished with this 'kit' lens. It is quite obviously the result of cost-cutting exercises at Canon in an effort to keep a headline grabbing low prices for the camera/lens combinations as advertised in the photographic press and at point of sale. This is very evident in the build quality of the lens. It is really quite poor. Very plasticy, extremely light (too light in my opinion) and somewhat 'sloppy' in it's fit and finish. Certainly NOT a lens to fill the purchaser with pride and even less so, confidence. This is born out by results. Lens quality is quite poor mostly, although quite good results can be obtained when shooting wide to mid zoom range at f/8 to f/11. Results at the tele end of the zoom are not so good, except when shooting at f...

It actually works! - I would recommend Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampo

Advantages: It actually works.
Disadvantages: There isnt any really... doesnt smell as sweet as baby products but doesnt smell either!

... Dentinox Cradle Cap Shampoo helped to clear my sons cradle cap up very quickly. I had tried various other products plus old traditional ways and nothing worked! My son had little to no hair at 2 months but I started to notice quite thick yellowish patches on his scalp. I was worried encase it was the shampoo that was causing this so changed brands. Up visiting my mother she pointed out the patches of it on his head and explained he had cradle cap. Being a first time mum I hadnt a clue and decided to do a bit of research. -- A bit about cradle cap -- Thanks to wikipedia I found this definition that explains it quite well Cradle Cap (infantile or neonatal seborrhoeic dermatitis, also known as crusta lactea, milk crust, honeycomb disease) is a yellowish, patchy, greasy, scaly and crusty skin rash that occurs...

A lens for sport and wildlife

Advantages: Excellent over all range
Disadvantages: Weight and possibly cost

...The Sigma 50-500mm F4-6.3 APO AF/HSM zoom lens is a medium sized, medium weight and rather expensive lens. It is not a lens for anybody. But if your interest is in wildlife photography or sports photography then this is the lens for you. First the Technical aspects. High Performance Will fit Sigma, Mintola, Nikon, Pentax, and Canon Group/elements 16/20 Angle of view (degrees) 46.8 - 5 No of blades in diaphragm 9 Minimum focus 100-300/39.4 - 18.1 Magnification 1:5.2 Filter 86mm Dimension diameter x length (mm/in) 95x216/3.7x8.5 weight (g/oz)1859/65.2 It can be mounted on a wide variety of cameras. Best to make sure that Sigma makes the lens for your type of camera. I understand that it takes a different chip for each camera. A very useful feature is a Zoom lock. This revents zoom creep when the position...
