I have a Michelin 1: 125000 map, bought this year, and it does show Levi, but not as a town or city, just as a mountain slightly north of Kittala. ...When I ordered this book I thought: "Great! This is really going to be fun! A book called 'Lost Histories'! The full title intrigued me even more. 'Exploring the World's Most Famous Mysteries'. Sadly, this book by Joel Levy (published by Vision Paperbacks at £10.99) really did disappoint me. The book is divided into five blocks. Not actually chapters, but rather blocks. These are: Lost Places, Lost Artefacts Lost Treasure, Lost People and lost Wrecks. This is where the book starts to fall down. Each story is divided up into sections with irritating horizontal black lines. The problem is that Levy and his designers use the same horizontal black lines to divide each individual story, so there is room for confusion. It is easy -and very irritating- to find that you had accidentally strayed into an entirely different story...

Take it or Levi it

Advantages: Rugged, hardwearing and yet comfortable.
Disadvantages: Ever tried to undo a button fly when you are drunk ?

...This is an opinion on Levi Jeans although I have had the product added to the wrong category as Levi Strauss do not have a dedicated shop in Glasgow. My local shop for Levi products is OSC but, no matter, they sell good gear. For anybody who is unfortunate enough to still be wearing substandard jeans by companies such as Falmer, Lee, wrangler etc, read on. If you have already discovered the most comfortable jeans ever manufactured (yes, I am talking about the one and only Levi brand (501`s in particular)) then you may as well just save your time, rate this op “very helpful” and give me a nice comment. Levis Strauss shop

Advantages: excellent choice, great staff and clean and tidy
Disadvantages: some product is expensive but its quality

...Levis are the deffinative jean, the 501 is the leading style for straight legs jeans. The stores carry a mixture of gents and ladies clothin in many different fits from slim to loose to bootcut etc. They have had a big increase on the choice of tops and jackets available some of which i think are amazing such as the new fishtail parka currently on show in my local store in Birmingham. the best things about the stores are the staff they are specialists and will help you find what is best for you. There didnt rush me or try and get me to buy anything i didnt want there is seperate guys and girls floors which are well merchandised with outfit suggestions that give good ideas of what looks good together and it was very clean and the stock was labled with tags to explain about the different styles if you just want to browse with out any...

The Levis Shop- modern, unique indie wear

...I came across this shop in Wakefield last year and I love it. The clothes are very individual and different to anything else you will find which is why I love it so much. I recommend this shop for those who like to wear indie-style clothes and anyone who likes to be individual in their style. *Shop appearance/layout* ------------------------------------ -This was the first thing which made me go into the Levi shop. The walls are made of glass which is very modern and means that you can see all the bright clothes inside. Very inviting. -The clothes are very nicely laid out. The jeans are shown folded up in piles but there are examples of the different styles of jeans hung up with hoops. This is a good idea as it means that you don't have to risk knocking over the entire pile of jeans to see what they look...

Arsenal put 501 past the opposition

...It goes without saying, if you're not an Arsenal fan, this probably isn't for you. Unless you love watching quality goals and spectacular moments. our second visit to finnish lapland

...we had been to yllas for christmas 07 and were desperate to go back, we were lucky to get a great last min deal with inghams in feb 08 which was allocation upon arrival - this time we ended up in levi - were initially were not pleased about this as we longed to go back to yllas which was just such a magical holiday - anyhow - the transfer from kittila was about 15 mins, we got taken to our allocation on arrival accommodation which turned out to be a massive 5 bedroomed log cabin - truely stunning and what a bargain too levi itself is a town, by UK standards it's a very, very small town but in Finnish lapland standards it's big. The main town itself was about a 10 to 15 min walk from our cabin, the walk to the town was not magical like it was in yllas, it was far more built up and didn't have all the lovely walks in the woods like...

Advantages: Easy to read directions, bright lovely book, tasty food!
Disadvantages: You might end up cooking this all the time!

...really stood out was this one with its bright Jamaican flag colour cover, I knew this was the one... Levi Roots Reggae Reggae cook book. Now, before I got practising I got my friend to have a look through the book as he was cynical and thought that no book is going to make you relive what he calls real Jamaican home cooking. Once he had browsed through he looked at me in wonder and said... How did you find this!? He was impressed, and I bet he was worried he might lose his challenge after all. Secrets I was slightly biased when I bought this book. I knew Levi Roots was a success through the help of the well known programme Dragons Den where he asked for funding for his 'Reggae Reggae' Sauce. So I knew if he was good enough for them then he would be good enough for me! The cookery book has some brilliant auto-biography pages on Levi...
