Lexmark For Your Home Office
Advantages: Size and Compact Device that does pretty much
Disadvantages: Toner Prices and Price Per Page
...Lexmark's X500n is a multifunctional machine suitable for a small group or office. It has a scanner, an automatic document feeder and all these work well with the printer part of this machine. The machine is reasonably priced even with all these great features and this makes it a very interesting option for the buyers.
It has a 250 sheet paper tray from where the papers feed inside. An optional 530 sheet paper tray is also available. There is no feed for other media like envelopes, labels etc. The control panel has straightforward controls. The buttons are spaced properly and are user-friendly. It has a two line display which gives good results; though the background isn't very appealing to eyes! Lexmark X500n has some pretty good software in the form of Abbyy FineReader for OCR and Presto PageManager for managing documents...

Dreambox 500-C - The Best and Easiest Updatable Cable Receiver
Advantages: Small Size, Cosmetic Design, Ease of Updating, Linux Based, Extremely Powerful, Easily Configured,
Disadvantages: Lack of buttons on receiver (problem is remote control is missing)
...The Dreambox is the best FTA Box ever made. The Dreambox runs using Linux, the feature list of the Dreambox 500-C is unbelievable. I have had one of these things for around a year, and I am still discovering new things I can do with it everyday. The box itself is very small, and quite slim, this means there is still plenty of space left on your TV Cabinet for other electronic goodies.
You can connect the box to the internet via the Ethernet port at the back of the box. This feature enables the user to record what is on the Dreambox, directly to their PC Hard-drive via the network (3rd party software required).
The remote control in the picture is the old style remote and Dream Multimedia have changed the remote control to a more stylish, small silver remote control. The remote control offers all of the general functions a remote...

The Microsoft SPV C500
Advantages: Large clear screen, MiniSD card support, Media Player 9, Outlook, MSN, LOADS of software
Disadvantages: Because it does alot may take a bit of time (playing with) to get used to it.
...The phone is superb from the inside out. The look of the phone is nice, cleek and modern. It fits well in your hand and is faily easy to use. It is not too weighty and the battery lasts for days and days, even when playing music. I have found that a upgrade to a 512MB MiniSD card is a well worth wile investment, a whole new world opens upforthe C500. With the ability to store loads of music, videos, pictures, and software makes this phone the best ever. The range of software is simply unbelieveable. With large companies producing games and applications for the Smartphone (Windows Mobile 2003 2nd Edition Smartphone). Also Microsoft gives you the ability to design and make your own software with the use of Visual Studio and Embeded C++(programming knowledge needed!).
The things I have found to let this phone down is the lack of help...

Orange C500 is the Best Mobile Phone on market
Advantages: Camera, Screen size, customising, good battery, Easy to use & Smartphone!
Disadvantages: bluetooth is abit tricky
...and Windows Media player. Transfer an mp3 to your phone and listen to it with your headphones! It will be exactly how it sounds on your computer! Very Clear !! Alot of new phones have mp3 built in but none of them comes close to C500..
The battery life is really good, I made about 20 calls about 5 mins long each, played games, used bluetooth around 3/4 hours and video recorded for 1 hour and only a 25% battery was used.
It takes the phone about 2 minutes to turn on, so dont panic thinking it does not work. Once its on it works perfectly.
The pc to phone connection works really well, i have had no problems with it and while you are connected and transferring music and stuff, your phone charges through the usb cable :D

lexmark x3470
Advantages: good cheap printer
Disadvantages: colour could be better
...Its possible these days to get printers that are really cheap, cheaper infact than the ink that goes in them itself. And this is another one like that.
So here is a fantastic printer, made by Lexmark, who make and specialise in designing and making quality printers. Its does a lot of things and even has some capabilities built it that for a printer coming in at just £35 you totally wouldn’t expect.
The printer is cheaper than some of their usual models, and it perhaps doesn’t look quite as good. There’s no glossy white or black finish like on their more stylish models and it does appear quick big and bulky. I think that they could have probably cut down a bit on the size as some appears just as waste.
The buttons or rather lack of buttons on this printer could be looked at as a bad thing. However when I use...

Lexmark Z 1520
Advantages: cheap, good looks
Disadvantages: a bit big
...Lexmark Z 1520
Lexmark are a company that have been designing and making printers for a while now, so firstly you know that they are great quality.
However one bad ting about them is that their ink is quite dear compared with other printer manufacturers. You can however shop around, buy cheaper ink compatibles or even refill your old cartridges if you want to save the odd quid or two.
The printer itself looks very cool and futuristic, its cool shiny white body and its black panels go well to give this printer a stylish edge against all its other competitors in the market today.
It is however quite long and does appear quite big in the flesh. I cant help thinking they could have saved a lot of space and I feel that they really could have made it smaller and more compact.
Also with this one, there’s the opportunity to do...

Lexmark X2500
Advantages: reasonable price
Disadvantages: could be faster
...Lexmark make a lot of printers and all in ones these days, this Lexmark X2500 is at the higher end of the range, however it will only cost you a great, £35 from most places.
Getting an all in one works out a lot cheaper than buying things separately, also it looks a lot better than having a load of separate devices everywhere, and of course it also saves a lot of space on your desk.
The best way to describe its shape is to describe it as three separate blocks glues together to give an amazing, almost sculpture like looking all in one printer.
The first section at the top, is home to the scanner, the bottom is home to the paper out section and the block onto the side of the printer is home to all the buttons that are on top of the printer to make them nice and easy to get to. They isn’t a screen on this however, which I think...

Cambridge Audio C/P500 Pre/Power Amp
Advantages: Audiophile quality design and build
Disadvantages: takes up more shelves on your hi-fi rack and needs more cables. Big Deal!!!
...I have owned two of these P500 power amps along with accompanying C500 control/pre-amp for approx 10 years now. They are receiving signal from a 24 bit NAD C540 CD player (see my other review) and feeding a pair of Mission 734i floor standing speakers. I bought this system after initial going to audition a NAD amplifier of the time that had received rave reviews. I was recomended to try the C/P500 combination to compare and although the NAD was fairly close on the lower frequencies the higher frequencies were much clearer and natural and so I ended up buying two power amps to bi-amp the speakers (the P500 does give two sets of connections to facilitate bi-wiring, it's just that at this price I couldn't resist). I listen to a varied range of music from older stuff such as the Beatles and the Clash, more modern stuff such as Jamiruqai...

Lexmark does it again!!!
Advantages: Everything you need in one complete package, excelent quality scans, copy, and prints!
Disadvantages: Abit on the slow side when printing, cartridge status bar can be very unrealible!
...When the time came to send my Lexmark printer to the knackers' yard, I thought that an all in one machine would be the most economical choice!
Since being happy for a number of years with my Lexmark printer I had know hesitation in purchasing another product from them!
The reason I went for the X1180 model was it was the cheapest at the time and most importantly looked uncomplicated to use!
Design
When it arrived and I took it out of the box I was mildly pleased with the size (not as bulky as I thought it would be) but saying that it has a height of 16.3 cm and a depth of 30.8 cm which unless you've got a lot of space, which luckily I have, then it may not be practical for people with limited space. The machine itself looks stylish, a nice grey finish and only 5 buttons (I always think that the more buttons there are, the more...

love a lexmark
Advantages: cheap and does all the basics very well.
Disadvantages: no frills!
...Being that we have 2 pc`s at home and up till recently only one printer, we thought it time to get another printer for upstairs.
as i mainly use the downstairs pc there was no need for anything fancy just something to print of a few pages or documents when required.
The epson R300 is the printer i use downsatirs and this lexmark comes no where near being able to compete with it, as i use the epson for disc printing photo printing and all sorts which this lexmark just doesnt do.
That aside as i said it was only a second printer fo light work i was looking for and this printer can easily take on that task, its very user friendly and fairly fast. It produces very clear print and images even when the ink is running very low which is one thing the epson wont do! Low ink in the epson leads to inferior printing. not so with this...
