...I have two Lexmark inkjet printers. One (Z605 model) is mine; the other (Z35) is on loan to me in connection with my degree course. Luckily, both printers use the same ink cartridges. These are: Z16/Z17 - black Z26/Z27 - colour The same ink cartridges are compatible with a range of Lexmark inkjet printers, notably: Lexmark Colour Jetprinters - Z13, Z23e, Z25, Z25L, Z33, Z34 Lexmark Colour Jetprinters - Z515, other Z600 series Lexmark All-In-Ones - X72, X74, X75, X1100 series **** So, what about buying the Z16 cartridges? **** They come in a nice, neat little pack. The Z16 code is prominently displayed, as is a full list of the compatible Lexmark printers. The Cheap and cheerful ish Cartridge!

Advantages: Cheap, colour print is good, easy to insert
Disadvantages: Black comes out green! Runs out quickly VERY Quickly!

...Hello and welcome to this review! My gosh those trial cartridges that come with your printer sure do run out quickly! These cartridges are greatly priced, much cheaper than other brands such as HP! However, there is one problem I have come accross when using the Lexmark 1 Cartridge. That being - When black is printed, it doesn't quite come out black! Its more of a green colour. I understand this is because colours are mixed inside the cartridge to make black but the best colour they can make must be green:( I thought it may have been my printer however I bought a second and its exactly the same! I would definately say for the price of this printer and cartridge range It is good for people doing everyday printing, however if you are printing invoices etc and require that crisp look Im afraid you will not get it...

Quality colour cartidge but at a price

...This cartridge fits a variety of Lexmark printers. In general it is easy to fit - with the usual load and lock Lexmark carriage on your printer. Just take off the tape covering the print head insert the cartridge and lock into the carriage. Most printer software will detect this change and then ask you to go through the simple cartidge alignment procedure The cartridge produces quality output - colours are very good and realistic. depending on the printer you can get near photo quality prints from this cartidge It has a reasonable output in terms of number of pages it will create My only gripe is the cost of these cartridges - you need to consider refilling them as a cost effective way of prolonging their life. Lexmark Z25 - sprinter printer

Advantages: Small, fast and cheap

....00. Wandering through PC World though, I came across the Lexmark Z25L. A cheap colour printer, small, lightweight and fairly fast. The printer itself is connected to the PC via a USB cable, which is perhaps the only downfall of the whole purchase, insomuch that the cable is not supplied, adding an extra £15 to the cost of purchase if you don?t have a spare one indoors. The printer itself comes in a pack that contains a colour cartridge, though the printer can actually hold both a colour and a black and white cartridge, so you have the choice of buying another cartridge when you buy the printer (which retail for £28.00 for a colour cartridge and £24.00 for black and white), though the printer works just as well with the single cartridge provided. Printing 6 colour pages per minute and 9 black and white pages per minute, which is an ok speed...

Brand new printer for cost of a cartridge

Advantages: Cheap, Decent Print Quality, Relatively Fast, General Good Budget Printer
Disadvantages: Ink Catridge costs, Lack of USB cable

...it?s advisable to get a Black ink cartridge for everyday use and save the colour for when you want to print those precious colour pictures. The ink cartridges can be a bit expensive to buy, especially if you are buying from PC World, Dixons or any high street retailers. The cost of the colour cartridge is about £27 and for the black one £22. Expensive, I?m sure you will all agree, but the printer only cost £25! Lexmark seems to be the underdog in terms of cartridges though, as no one seems make cheaper versions like they do with Epson, HP and Canons. But the best place to buy cartridges for the Lexmark would be at your monthly town computer fair or through the good old mail order or Internet as they sell cartridges for much cheaper than the high street. I will update this op at a later date to inform of good places to get these...

Cheap Compact Colour Printer

Advantages: Cheap, reliable, easy to use, suitable for PC and Mac.
Disadvantages: USB cable not supplied, expensive ink cartridges.

..., on reflection, if you work at home, it's probably the only "person" you may hear all day so it isn't that unwelcome. (Sad or what?) Running Costs = The initial outlay, beyond the printer itself, will be a USB cable - the printer comes with a power cable and software. It seems to accept most types of paper, so you may please yourself as to what weight you choose to use. You will probably find that your printer comes with a free cartridge but you should probably buy a couple yourself; you must get both black and colour cartridges. Annoyingly enough, you can't seem to get generic compatible cartridges, so you must shell out for Lexmark cartridges which are shockingly expensive. As I said before, the cost of ink cartridges wasn't an issue for us but you may want to think carefully about buying cartridges which are almost as...

...I bought this printer a few weeks ago because I needed to have a working colour printer of any description fast, just to get a few thing?s important printed, and I thought for the price of a new colour cartridge for my existing printer (£32.95) I might as well get myself a brand new printer from somewhere, for about the same price (just like I did last time the ink ran out) because a new printer tends to come with new cartridges. ...I bought this printer as a replacement for my fairly old HP 960. I have never owned a Lexmark printer before but decided to try it this time. Not a wise decision as it turned out. I chose the Z515 for two reasons. Its small size and its low price. However it seems that the ?You only get what you pay for? saying is 100% true in this case? The package includes only a color ink cartridge so if you want to print normal documents or emails you need to purchase a black one which adds an extra £15 to the price of the printer (aprox £30) The installation is very easy with the enclosed CDROM which installs the drivers and a number of maintenance applications. The printing quality is not great, certainly well below the quality if my old HP printer but for standard home use its probably OK. Surprisingly enough the quality is better...

...of colour. The quality and the clarity of the ink is excellent, i cannot find any fault with this product at all. I have just tested out how many extra prints you get if you ignore the message pop up on the computer that says you are out of ink, I was able to print out an extra 15 Pages and the quality was as good as when i had just changed the cartridge. In my opinion if you are lokking for a reiable quality ink cartridge I would reccomend using lexmark No2 cartridges....

Advantages: wi-fi printing, exellent scanning features
Disadvantages: ink prices

...The Lexmark X4650 is a superb all in one printer. Setting it up was easy and connecting it to my wireless network was no hassle. The included CD basically is a step by step guide in to setting the product up and makes for a no-fuss setup. Scanning is excellent as when scanning documents, the included software recognizes text and you can edit your document. Also copying is simple, just pop the paper above the scanner and watch it print out. The photo printing options are limited to a few options such as either; print all, print last photo taken, date range (per month) or photo number. Another thing that may let the printer down is ink cartridge prices as these can become pricey. Never the less this printer is worth buying and has many extra features and is really handy being wireless. Just to add, the printer does come with colour...
