Now this printer connects to your PC by USB cable and the software that comes with the printer was so easy to load up, one tip remove the software from your old printer first as the mistake I made was to connect the printer first before installing the software and the computer kept telling me there was no printer available. Anyway after getting over that hurdle it was plain sailing from then on in. I cant begin to tell you how pleased I am with this printer, it is a smart printer to look at and is not too bulky and it is not as noisy as my previous printer. It is not a quick printer thought as it only prints 9 ppm in black and white or 5 ppm in colour. Lexmark Z25 - sprinter printer

....00. Wandering through PC World though, I came across the Lexmark Z25L. A cheap colour printer, small, lightweight and fairly fast. The printer itself is connected to the PC via a USB cable, which is perhaps the only downfall of the whole purchase, insomuch that the cable is not supplied, adding an extra £15 to the cost of purchase if you don?t have a spare one indoors. The printer itself comes in a pack that contains a colour cartridge, though the printer can actually hold both a colour and a black and white cartridge, so you have the choice of buying another cartridge when you buy the printer (which retail for £28.00 for a colour cartridge and £24.00 for black and white), though the printer works just as well with the single cartridge provided. Printing 6 colour pages per minute and 9 black and white pages per minute, which is an ok speed...

Review of Lexmark E 330

Dell 725 color printer

Advantages: fast
Disadvantages: does not print in true black ink color

...This printer has NEVER printed in true (or even close...) black "color". Contacting Dell support, I was told "your printer is no longer under warranty", so they would not even offer assistance. I never used it much (it was bundled with the laptop), so now when I needed it for a project, it is very disappointing that it does not work. I have downloaded and installed the "latest" driver (from 2006!) and that still did not help. I re-ran the printers test pattern and head cleaner, and no black ever printed. The test pattern is blue, pink, yellow and brownish-green. Given other's comments here about the black being a greenish-grey, I would never buy another single-cartridge printer again. I would definitely suggest you purchase a printer that has a dedicated black cartridge. Fast speed accounts for nothing if the colors are screwy!...

Cheap Compact Colour Printer

Advantages: Cheap, reliable, easy to use, suitable for PC and Mac.
Disadvantages: USB cable not supplied, expensive ink cartridges.

..., on reflection, if you work at home, it's probably the only "person" you may hear all day so it isn't that unwelcome. (Sad or what?) Running Costs = The initial outlay, beyond the printer itself, will be a USB cable - the printer comes with a power cable and software. It seems to accept most types of paper, so you may please yourself as to what weight you choose to use. You will probably find that your printer comes with a free cartridge but you should probably buy a couple yourself; you must get both black and colour cartridges. Annoyingly enough, you can't seem to get generic compatible cartridges, so you must shell out for Lexmark cartridges which are shockingly expensive. As I said before, the cost of ink cartridges wasn't an issue for us but you may want to think carefully about buying cartridges which are almost as...

...I bought this printer as a replacement for my fairly old HP 960. I have never owned a Lexmark printer before but decided to try it this time. Not a wise decision as it turned out. I chose the Z515 for two reasons. Its small size and its low price. However it seems that the ?You only get what you pay for? saying is 100% true in this case? The package includes only a color ink cartridge so if you want to print normal documents or emails you need to purchase a black one which adds an extra £15 to the price of the printer (aprox £30) The installation is very easy with the enclosed CDROM which installs the drivers and a number of maintenance applications. The printing quality is not great, certainly well below the quality if my old HP printer but for standard home use its probably OK. Surprisingly enough the quality is better...

Cheap Colour Printer

..., that would make everything easier. The LEXMARK 3200 COLOR did this perfectly. The price variations between shops were some times quite large, so we lookied around as much as we could, and finaly ended up in Dixons, where they quoted the cheapest price (around £100, but I believe they are cheaper now). It is far superior to our old lexmark in many ways. SPEED - This one is fast (but by no means the fastest). It churns out about 4 sheets of full writing every minute, which is quite enough for me. Pictures take suprisingly little time too. QUALITY - The text is especially good with this printer. Very cear. I would not recommend it for printing complicated pictures though. As you woud expect from the price, there are often lines printed across them. CARTRIDGES - The old Lexmark only allowed the use of 1 cartridge at a time...

...The Lexmark Z25 After my old inkjet printer died painfully and expensively it was time for me to purchase another. Being quite naïve I just thought I just though that a printer was a printer. I was really looking for the cheapest printer around and this puppy turned up for £22.50. I snapped it up and home it came, only to find that it came with the software but no cable to connect it to you computer. I popped back to the shop bought myself a USB cable connected it all up followed the onscreen prompts to installing the software no problem. Then it come to printing a test sheet and yes you guessed it no print cartridges! Back to the shop ? who don?t sell them off to Office World £24.99 for the black 27.99 for the colour! Lexmark 3 in 1 Multifunctional Printer (X3480)

Advantages: Reasonably price for a 3 in 1 MULTIFUNCTIONAL Unit.
Disadvantages: So easy to accidently switch off.

I've done some compairing and will mention any differences I know of below. What it is: Its a 3 in 1 Multifunction unit. It prints, has a scanner and has a copier. Will connect to your computer via a USB port. Shops: This is available on E.Bay (various sellers) and PC World have it listed. Its NO longer on Currys or comet (who used to sell it).
