...Inkjet cartridges are very expensive, particularly so for Hewlett Packard printers, although I am sure that most makes of printer have equally expensive cartridges. You can get the Hewlett Packard printers at very competitive prices now, and I have a Deskjet 710c, which has been replaced by newer models, nevertheless I think it is a good quality printer, quiet, and the print quality is crisp and clear. The only downside to this printer for me, is the cost of new inkjet cartridges, and I do tend to run out fairly often, as I am always printing information which I find on the web, apart from the fact my grandchildren also like to print stuff too! ...The cost of inkjet cartridges is something that is close to my heart, and if I were to buy genuine Epson cartridges for my Epson Stylus D68 then it would cost me £25. This is an extortionate figure when you consider that that is half the cost of the printer!!!!!! So always on the hunt for a bargain I scoured the length and breadth of upper brook street in Manchester to find a suitable generic cartridge. The Mac and PC centre round the back of the Manchester Aquatic Centre had just that these babies cost me £12 for all four......... ...I found www.ink2u.co.uk via an opinion by davegroom here on Ciao and decided that I would have a look when we needed some ink in a hurry and had found that the cartridges for our Lexmark Z12 wouldn’t refill properly with the ink that I had purchased. The site itself is really easy to navigate. From the home page you select the brand of printer that you have and then select the model of the printer. This then brings up all the products in stock for your specific printer. As I said, we have a Lexmark Z12 and have found the cartridges to be between £25 and £30 in our local shops, if they have them in stock. At ink2u.co.uk the remanufactured cartridges are £16.95 for Black and £18.95 for a colour, or £34.40 for the two, so we ordered them on Sunday night. ...Hello and welcome to this review! My gosh those trial cartridges that come with your printer sure do run out quickly! These cartridges are greatly priced, much cheaper than other brands such as HP! However, there is one problem I have come accross when using the Lexmark 1 Cartridge. That being - When black is printed, it doesn't quite come out black! Its more of a green colour. I understand this is because colours are mixed inside the cartridge to make black but the best colour they can make must be green:( I thought it may have been my printer however I bought a second and its exactly the same! I would definately say for the price of this printer and cartridge range It is good for people doing everyday printing, however if you are printing invoices etc and require that crisp look Im afraid you will not get it...

...Like many people I find the cost of new printer ink cartridges too expensive. I have tried the alternative route of buying refurbished ones where empty cartridges are cleaned, refilled and resold. My opinion, don?t waste your money. The simple reason is the cartridge?s metal contacts are very delicate and are made useless by taking them in and out of the printer numerous times. If you get a well used refurbished cartridge it simply won?t work or packs up after a few days, I know this from painful and expensive experience. A better idea which I now use you may want to try, is refilling your own cartridges. Nothing new in that you say but I fill them in situ and it extends the cartridge life considerably. You will need either a colour inkjet refill kit or a black inkjet refill kit or both obviously depending on your needs. JR...

...I use lexmark cartridge No 2 for my printer, they are readily available in PC World £14.99 and other shops stock them too Such as Tesco, Argos, etc. They come in a vibrant red box and has a large No 2 inside a rainbow ringed circle, with the Models it is suitable fo ( X2480 & X3480) clearly marked on the front of the box. Lexmark states on the box that they are the Original replacement cartridge with a new intergrated Print head to give you sharp Crystal clear results over time. They are very simple to fit into the printer just lift up the fixing cover and slot in to place and snap shut the holding lid, slide back in place in the printer. (dont forget to remove the sticky seal 1st). The ink lasts for approx 120 print outs, you get more than this if printing mainly black and white, or slightly less if printing a lot...

...Lexmark Z 1520 Lexmark are a company that have been designing and making printers for a while now, so firstly you know that they are great quality. However one bad ting about them is that their ink is quite dear compared with other printer manufacturers. You can however shop around, buy cheaper ink compatibles or even refill your old cartridges if you want to save the odd quid or two. The printer itself looks very cool and futuristic, its cool shiny white body and its black panels go well to give this printer a stylish edge against all its other competitors in the market today. So I ordered a £9.99 Hansol lexmark refill kit with up to 6 refills from Ink Cycle's online store. The ordering was quick and easy and with delivery included in the price, quite a bargain!
