Reviews of lexmark laser
Lexmark E310
Review of Lexmark Optra E310 by
dawsonaj01
Advantages: Fast print speed
Disadvantages: Expensive toner
...I baught this printer off ebay for the small sum of £1.40 about a year ago, they are currently on ebay at about £10 at the time of writing. This printer offers a good black and white output and is able to take a range of different print media which is fed through a vericle feed at the back unlike most laser printers who use a tray for the paper on the base, with the extra paper outlet at the front for card. the toner for the printer is rather expensive retailing at about £50 - £60 but it does give a high number of prints with my experience being arround 6000 pages. If printing double sided work the printer does have a tendancy to jam when you are printing on the reverse side of your work occaisionaly. This printer would be ideal for a small home office environment or for use as ashared printer in a larger office....

cheap and cheerful printing
Review of Lexmark Z 11 Color Jetprinter by
peppermint
Advantages: small, compact, cheap
Disadvantages: Have to keep swapping cartridges around
...cartridges each time you want to change from colour priting to black and white printing which is a bind. Finally the cartridges are expensive, and you can't get cheaper versions like you can for Epsom printers.
It should be noted that Lexmark now use special pigmented black ink in their cartridges, producing a quality that is almost as good as laser printers....

Lexmark Z31 at Tescos, UK
Review of Lexmark Z 31 Color Jetprinter by
peter_harris_1999
Advantages: speed of setup, print quality
Disadvantages: none so far as I can see
...I bought a Lexmark Z31 at Tesco, Camberly UK on 14 Aug 2000 for £59.99, and was surprised at what I got for my money.
The printer, which included a printer cable despite the fact that the packaging said that it did not, installed without any fuss on a Windows 95 laptop system, and I was printing quite happily within 15 minutes of unpacking the box.
There is a setup procedure which allows very fine-tuning of the alignment of the print heads.
I was surprised at the high quality of the colour printing, but very alarmed at the cost of new ink cartridges as sold by Ryman in Victoria St, London. From recollection a pair of cartridges (black and colour) will cost me £55, only £5 less than the cost of the printer which of course included the first 2 cartridges. I was reassured to search on the Internet and find several cheaper options...

It really works it's life!!!
Review of Lexmark Optra E+ by
bcnlondon
Advantages: Very long working life
Disadvantages: Installation might be a pain in the neck!
...I own this laser printer since 1997 and I ensure you it is still under great working condition.
After over 23,000 pages (that's over 11 pages per working day), I can only say one thing: It worths every penny I spent to buy it.
The only ugly part of living with this printer is installation (especially under Win9x, Me) since the drivers are not preset for premium printing proccess. I recommend you to read the manual at least once before you try to install the printer as a PostScript Level 2 printer. Do not try to install the printer twice (once as a PS2 under the name e.g. Lexmark PS2 and once - better printing quality - as a PCL5 under the name Lexmark PCL5 - faster print speed) and try to use it once as a PS2 and once as a PCL5. This will confuse the printer driver which will start printing the printer software code.
For your own...

Note to Lexmark - Must do better
Review of Lexmark Z 13 Color Jetprinter by
Tickled_Pink
Advantages: Cheap to buy, easy to install, little or no paper curl
Disadvantages: Expensive to run, slow
...We bought the Z13 some months ago for occasional printing alongside our Samsung laser. We just needed something cheap for colour printing. So along came the Lexmark. Cheap we wanted, cheap we got.
The construction quality is not good, particularly the two buttons on the top of the unit. After only a few days occasional use, the power button failed. However, since it still worked if we just unplugged and then plugged the power cable into the unit, we decided to persevere.
The drivers installed first time and without a hitch (something Samsung's drivers didn't do). The unit comes with only a three colour ink cartridge which looks a little on the teeny side. Sadly, past experience with Lexmark printers have shown them to be ink guzzlers and they are probably the most expensive inkjets on the planet to run.
At its lowest print quality...

A quick small laser printer, with looks to match
Review of Lexmark E 323 by
kev19687607
Advantages: small, quick, dark grey colour
Disadvantages: rear feed paper tray
...If you’re looking for a small, quick and reliable laser printer that won't break the bank, then look no further than the Lexmark E323.
The first thing that you will notice about this printer when you eagerly unwrap it from its box is the colour.
AT LAST !! We have a printer that isn’t the normal beigey/white/greyish colour that most IT equipment seems to be, you know the colour that’s going to have a horrible yellowish tinge in a few months time no matter if you smoke or not....
This is the printer to break the mold, it’s a bright charcoal colour, finished with silver detail, and two bright chromed silver buttons for continuing or cancelling your print.
Up until now many of us may not have considered a laser printer for our home. But with the price of consumables coming down and also the actual footprint size of the printer being...

Lexmark - Where would we be without it?
Review of Lexmark Optra T622dn by
Araam101
Advantages: Top of the range
Disadvantages: Very pricey
...The Lexmark Optra T622dn is the fastest, smallest printer in its class. Finally, a format printer performance feautures in a high-volume A4 printer. The wait has been long and tiring, but definatly worthwhile.
The lexmark is a symbol for how Lexmark is hammering down the cost of printing which is of great advantage to you and I. However this is at no cost to performace, infact the evolution of printers is ongoing at a steady pace which makes this printer even more impressive. This steady advance in printer speed, size, and weight makes it perfect for companies who need to keep up with the latest hardware and software changes which are constantly developing.
This printer, equipped with advanced software tools that automate and centralize the set-up and updating of your networked printers. This includes 'Marksvision Professional...

Good little printer at a bargain price
Review of Lexmark Z 43 Color Jetprinter by
poet831
Advantages: Runs well, easy to use, prints well, good value
Disadvantages: Somtimes slow on cancelling projects
...I like Lexmark because they are the everyday people version of IBM - one of those dinosaurs of the printing world. They evolve with the times and create solid products that can handle the workload that you put on them.
So, when I walked into my local Staples, it was a choice of buying another cartridge for my older Lexmark, which still worked fine but was slow and noisy, or blowing money on a new printer. Ever the cheapie, I opted for the Lexmark Z43 as it only cost me $45 ( £30 approx) more than the ink cartridge for my old machine would have done, and I wanted to stay with a Lexmark.
They have served me well over the years!
My husband wanted to go with a laser printer, but I really couldn't justify that expense. So, the Z43 it was. Cheap machine at $99 (about £65), came with black and colour cartridges - I thought I had a bargain...

Top Quality Printing
Review of Lexmark Cartridge No. 26 - print cartridge by
claireydeacon
Advantages: Good Quality ink cartridge, large compatibility list
Disadvantages: Expensive
...Well, what can I say about these cartridges
They are made by Lexmark and either produced in the UK, Philippines or Assembled in Mexico, which is marked on the box, and is suitable for a large number of printers and all-in-one machines.
The box front is White and Red and shows a picture of the cartridge, underneath the Black and Red Lexmark Trademark. The back of the box has information about the “Superior Print Quality” whilst one side of the box contains details about the ownership of the trademarks, copyright and patents. The other side has a list of the printers the cartridge is compatible with these are:-

Lexmark Z31
Review of Lexmark Z 31 Color Jetprinter by
AdrianInnes
Advantages: Great Quality
Disadvantages: None I can see
...This is the printer I use for all my general printing work, have both colour 12A1980 and black 12A1970 cartridges installed makes it a good all round printer and if you want more colour for photos etc replace the black cartridge with the 12A1990 photo colour cartridge this gives the colours more depth.
The 1200dpi x 1200dpi is among the highest on the market, the ink used in the 12A1970 black is better than other ink as it produces near laser quality and won't run like other ink itf you get it wet.
The driver software and user interface are both easy to install and use, the user interface show the amount of ink remaining in both cartridges.
The printer will print on anything up to 270gsm which is quite thick card and produces very good quality of normal 80gsm photocopier paper. The paperfeed is very smooth no jams to date...
