Lexmark E 330 Printer Review

Advantages: fast, durable, value-for-money, toner and photoconductor are separated

...Introduction Lexmark E 330, a workgroup monochrome laser printer, is my main printer at my workplace. With the size of around one foot in all dimensions (Width: 39.6 cm X Depth: 35.3 cm X Height: 24.9 cm), the printer can be placed almost everywhere in the office; on a tables, cupboards, shelves, or else. It is a network printer which surpassed 40,000 pages right now, so, I have many things to review about!! Installation and Setup On the very first day if my use, I've used it as my personal printer. The driver for Lexmark E 330 is included in the package which I found it can easily be installed. You can plug it in USB or parallel port as you like. Lexmark 3 in 1 Multifunctional Printer (X3480)

Advantages: Reasonably price for a 3 in 1 MULTIFUNCTIONAL Unit.
Disadvantages: So easy to accidently switch off.

...I have had this printer for nearly 1 year now. Be aware that it has been updated by Lexmark and a newer version is available (the X3580). I've done some compairing and will mention any differences I know of below. What it is: Its a 3 in 1 Multifunction unit. It prints, has a scanner and has a copier. Will connect to your computer via a USB port. Shops: This is available on E.Bay (various sellers) and PC World have it listed. Its NO longer on Currys or comet (who used to sell it). It'll cost under £40 from the shops and less from auction. Size: On line you'll get info on it in various sizes. I'll show it in 'old money': Its 15" wide, 11" long and 6" tall, so a fair size. Lexmark E120N - Networked Laser Printer

Advantages: Built-in network print server, fast printing, fairly low cost, support for Linux
Disadvantages: Non-trivial, but not impossible, network installation under Windows XP

This was at first a major problem for me, as Lexmark consumables are notoriously expensive. However, after reading up on it a bit, I find that Lexmark offer a 'Returns Program' toner, which is priced at a reasonable level, with the condition that the toner be sent back to them after use, presumably to compete with the likes of Cartridge World. As I have mentioned, the main requirement for me was that the printer supported Linux, and this one does. ...I bought this printer and it offers good colour quality. As ink ject printer, it is slow but it id good quality and you can print leaflets, flyers as we. The picture quality isn't perfect but it is alright for personal use at home. I found the printing speed average on pictures and document. The colour on output is good as long as your settings are good which you do at the start up. It is easy to use and you connect it by USB and the installation CD tells you what to do. So far, I have printed documents and I have faced no problems - a year so far - but with pictures, it is slower and the quality isn't that good so really it is dependent on what function do you want your printer th perform - fast and good quality output or cheaper and slower alternative....

...This all in one printer will print , scan, copy and fax with high quality. Its printing capabilities are quite exceptional for an inkjet, especially colour images which appear crystal clear and of great quality when it comes to reproducing colour. However when printing black it has a tendancy to smear on the odd occasion not to the extent that its obvious but to a perfectionist it can be annoying. But the same perfectionist could not argue against the colour images. The scanning function is fast and of good wuality with giving a slightly dark image as some scanners do, even the clouors are reproduced with great accuracy. The coping is even faster and of great quality, with the same accuracy of the scanninng even thought the paper is now being moved while copied. THIS IS A GREAT PRINTER

...Ok we bought our computer in 2000 and it was a package deal with printer, scanner etc and the printer was a Lexmark it was a fantastic printer. Then last year it started playing up and not printing correctly but as we never used the printer all that much at that time we really never bothered and it done the trick for my son printing out some of his pictures. One day we were in ASDA and we noticed they had the Lexmark Z23e on sale at £29.99, I had to look twice, as I didn't realise this item could be so cheap I think it was mainly to do with the printer we had was part of a package so I never really gave its price a second thought. The good thing about it is that it doesn't take up much space at all, it is 5.1" high, 8.1" deep and 17.5" wide, although you have to make sure there is plenty of room for the paper to come out at other...

I was really looking for the cheapest printer around and this puppy turned up for £22.50. I snapped it up and home it came, only to find that it came with the software but no cable to connect it to you computer. I popped back to the shop bought myself a USB cable connected it all up followed the onscreen prompts to installing the software no problem. Then it come to printing a test sheet and yes you guessed it no print cartridges! Back to the shop – who don’t sell them off to Office World £24.99 for the black 27.99 for the colour! Lexmark X73 All-In-One Printer, Scanner & Copier

...Lexmark All-In-One X73 The Lexmark X73 is not only a printer, but also a scanner and a photocopier all rolled into one. This seems a good idea and on the whole it is, but only if quality is not sacrificed. I can't help but think that if I had two separate products - a scanner and a printer that they would be better quality than rolled into one. Then again, prices may then rise. It can be used for both Windows and Macintosh computers so it suits most computer users. Like most printers I've used, whether at work, school or home, this printer will conjure up some sort of problem. One disappointment is the scanner facility. When you scan a picture usually the picture will be distorted until you scan the picture a few times when the scanner will get it perfect. This is really annoying though, as it should work first time...

Lexmark all in one printer

Advantages: Simple to use
Disadvantages: Pricey Ink Cartridges

...We bought this to replace our old and worn out Canon S200. Simply took the printer out of the box remove packaging and installed the cartridges, connected to the PC powered up andwithin 5 minutes we were up and running. This printer prints at 2400x1200 dpi giving photo quality prints although it can be a little slow when printing in colour. The lexmark all in one software is extremely easy to use for copying, scanning etc. But it is also very helpful if you every need help with technical problems. The printer only cost £50 with 2 packs of photo paper thrown in and so was extremely good value. The biggest downside is the cost of replacement cartridges, the high capacity cartridgescost around £25 pounds each for black and colour. I have tried getting them refilled, but on 2 occassions have had to go back and change for new...
