The Cheap and cheerful ish Cartridge!

Advantages: Cheap, colour print is good, easy to insert
Disadvantages: Black comes out green! Runs out quickly VERY Quickly!

...Hello and welcome to this review! My gosh those trial cartridges that come with your printer sure do run out quickly! These cartridges are greatly priced, much cheaper than other brands such as HP! However, there is one problem I have come accross when using the Lexmark 1 Cartridge. That being - When black is printed, it doesn't quite come out black! Its more of a green colour. I understand this is because colours are mixed inside the cartridge to make black but the best colour they can make must be green:( I thought it may have been my printer however I bought a second and its exactly the same! I would definately say for the price of this printer and cartridge range It is good for people doing everyday printing, however if you are printing invoices etc and require that crisp look Im afraid you will not get it...

....00. Wandering through PC World though, I came across the Lexmark Z25L. A cheap colour printer, small, lightweight and fairly fast. The printer itself is connected to the PC via a USB cable, which is perhaps the only downfall of the whole purchase, insomuch that the cable is not supplied, adding an extra £15 to the cost of purchase if you don?t have a spare one indoors. The printer itself comes in a pack that contains a colour cartridge, though the printer can actually hold both a colour and a black and white cartridge, so you have the choice of buying another cartridge when you buy the printer (which retail for £28.00 for a colour cartridge and £24.00 for black and white), though the printer works just as well with the single cartridge provided. Lexmark 3 in 1 Multifunctional Printer (X3480)

Advantages: Reasonably price for a 3 in 1 MULTIFUNCTIONAL Unit.
Disadvantages: So easy to accidently switch off.

Good printer, let down buy the cost of cartridges.

...getting them developed professionally because the quality was so good. The scans and photocopys I did were also very good, and I was very impressed with this all-in-one machine. That was, until I came to replace the cartridges. I always buy the brand named cartridges for my printer after a bad experience with a 'compatible' cartridge with my previous printer. With Lexmark, the moderate-yield black and colour cartridges cost around £13, which seems expensive when you see the size of them. I found it more economical to buy the high-yield cartridges, which are usually £20+, but have double the amount of ink in them. In the end I found places such as Staples sell the black and colour high-yields in a pack for around £30, which makes them only slightly more than the moderate yield ones. Overall this is an excellent all-in-one for the price...

Now this printer connects to your PC by USB cable and the software that comes with the printer was so easy to load up, one tip remove the software from your old printer first as the mistake I made was to connect the printer first before installing the software and the computer kept telling me there was no printer available. Anyway after getting over that hurdle it was plain sailing from then on in. I cant begin to tell you how pleased I am with this printer, it is a smart printer to look at and is not too bulky and it is not as noisy as my previous printer. It is not a quick printer thought as it only prints 9 ppm in black and white or 5 ppm in colour.
