LG 22LH2000. Satisfyingly adequate

Advantages: Connectivity, Weight, Price

...concerned about was connectivity because I have a number of digital cameras that have HDMI connections, a VCR and DVD player that connect via SCART and an S-Video to Composite Video output from my PC for when I want to use a second monitor. The 22LH2000 has 2 x SCART sockets (of which one is RGB), 1 x HDMI, 1 x Coax aerial, 1 x VGA monitor socket, an audio input and a set of Composite Video sockets. For the sake of experimentation (and nothing else) I did try plugging my PC into the VGA socket and the TV functions perfectly well as a monitor, with a maximum resolution of 1360 x 760 pixels. Advantages: Very Cheap, Changeable cover panels, Fast Speed

I came across this one which was extremely cheap and thus bought it as LG has become more reputable. The Pros This drive was very easy to install. It was practically a plug and play drive. It also came with different front panels in order to change colors from black and white. Although this may seem pointless it is a factor to take into consideration if you are after certain specification like color for your computer. The drive has never had a problem playing any cd's DVD's and etc. It is also very quiet unlike many drives out there. Advantages: Cheap, pretty quiet, works fine, comes with Securdisc at no real extra cost.

...What can you say about a DVD Writer that makes it any different than any other DVD writer? Well that is why I am writing this review, this LG drive is not only cheap, cheerful, easy to install, super-fast at burning and generally as good as most other writers. It also has Securdisc. Securdisc is pretty obvious, its name is self-explanatory. It is a way of securing your discs - but from what exactly? Mainly from theft, piracy and children, but it also warns you when your files are in danger of becoming corrupt from disc decay. So if you store a lot of files on discs and use those discs quite often, you could be putting those files at risk of becoming corrupted due to just simple over-use. The LG drive is capable of copying and reading information's as fast as it can and on the other hand the DVD play back. I got this specifically for writing and duplicating plates.
